The very first game of RoN. I can not even start setup. I tried every single compatibility mode, but didn't work. When I double click RONSETUP.EXE nothing happens. What might be the problem? I've read that people can run this game under Windows 7, but I can't? Any help would be appreciated.
View 3 RepliesI'm on the RTM build (one of the custom "touched" builds) and I've noticed that my RAM usage seems to rise the longer I'm on.
For instance: Yesterday I came home from work and started my machine. After startup the RAM was at around 27% just idling. I then checked my mails, looked at various news sites, and then browsed this forum, all the while playing music through Winamp.
At this point my RAM was around 31% which seems fine as I was doing various things at once.
I then closed Firefox and , leaving Winamp playing music (no visualization), sat back in my chair to read the newspaper.
After about an hour of this I returned to the pc to put on some different music and my RAM is at 40%!
After another hour or so it was at 42%.
It's not Winamp related or music related as I noticed the same thing the other day when I had literally closed all major apps and just had the desktop up.
So it just seems that it is length of time related.
I have installed the game and everything did go well but then i launched the game and it crashed at the startlogo. I have read about this problem but what must I do so I can play on my Windows 7 64bit?

i can get my rise of legends to run in compatibility mode xp service pack 3, but when the game boots up my mouse curser is frozen, although it runs in the background. i cant play the game as i cannot see where my mouse is pointing. The same problem occurs with rise of nations, but none of my other games. I am running win 7 home premium 64 bit. My mouse is a4tech x7. my system is an i7 2600 with 8gigs mem and 2gforce gtx 550ti sparkles in sli.

If I connect just the SSD, it shows up, and if I connect just HDD, it shows up as well.However, I cannot find SSD from boot up priority menu if HDD is also connected.There are only three choices: HDD, DVD Drive, and Floppy disk... which I do not have.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just installed windows 7 (build 7000) on my older dell inspiron 700m. Everything has been running smoothly except for what i believe is a video driver problem. My screen max res. is 1280x800 but it's limiting me to 1024x768 right now. I also can't do things like screen-savers, because when I try to enable them, instead of the preview, i get a message saying that it isn't compatible with Direct3D. I went to the dell website and looked around for the newest driver.
On my system info page, it says that I'm using a standard VGA graphics display.
I didn't have this problem on XP SP3

I am looking for a KVM switch that can switch a VGA connected monitor and a USB mouse and keyboard between an always connected desktop running 64 bit Win 7 Home Premium and an occasional laptop running Win 7 Professional. I have a problem with my IBuypower desktop. I have only had it for 3 months, and recently I've had this problem when trying to open certain programs. This is the message that pops up. When I start up my computer, the computer checks the disks and says there is a file or program that was recently downloaded that needs to be removed, but I do not know what it is. I can't seem to find a solution to this anywhere online. Do I need to re-install Windows? I also just got blue screen.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've recently found an old laptop in the back of my closet. It runs Windows '95 currently, and has some start-up problems (but isn't very slow once I get it to work). I'm not an expert at computers, but I can say that it's an IBM ThinkPad built around 1999, as it is the lowest year available in the time setup. I want to update it to Windows 7 so I could maybe give it purpose again. Currently, it tries to use dial-up connection, has no USB ports, but does have a CD drive. It came with an external floppy disc drive. I've searched around on Google for a day or two to see if this is even possible. From what I've seen, it's possible to jump from Windows 95 to Windows 7, but I don't know if anything about the computer itself can change that (e.g. the space on its hard drive, its lack of modern ports, its lack of wi-fi connection). I have a full copy of Windows 7 on the CD, and I can put a CD in the laptop itself, so I see no problem there. My major fear is that I'll try to put in the disc and it automatically erases everything on my hard drive or kill the computer because it's too much strain on an old system.
