Realtek Is Installed But Can't Run It Nor Find It On The Pc?
Aug 1, 2012
Yesterday i bought a new motherboard MSI G41M-P26 and i reinstalled windows because of this problem (im using win8 release preview) i installed Realtek (everything went fine) and i restarted my pc, after that i couldn't find the realtek icon anywhere, even on the program files the realtek folder is empty there are only 2 files (RtlUpd.exe can't even run it, and USetup.iss) the HDA folder is empty also.I reinstalled it many times, tried various versions of Realtek, it's not even on the Task Manager. It seems like it's installed but i can't run it. I have everything up to date,'s really important for me to use realtek.PS : i have the sound in case you were wondering. But i need realtek. It has so many good options and i'm using a 5.1 home theater.
i installed windows 7 and after that everything works fine except that there is no sound. the device manager says that the HD audio is working fine. the driver is the updated version.
I don't know what to do. both the internal speakers and the headphones are not working. but the symbol for audio says it is working just fine.
I am after the Realtek HD audio centre download and the nearest I can find is some HD Codecs can someone point me in the right direction please as I tried that the other night and got a torrent of malware downloaded.
i built myself a new computer and it has an ASUS Rampage 3 Formula motherboard which has:SupremeFX X-Fi 2 built-in 8-Channel High Definition Audio CODEC
- Supports : Jack-detection, Multi-streaming, Front Panel Jack-retasking Audio Feature : - X-Fi Xtreme Fidelity™ - EAX Advanced™ HD 5.0 - THX TruStudio PRO™ - Creative ALchemy - Blu-ray audio layer Content Protection - Optical S/PDIF out port(s) at back panel
I install the Realtek audio driver software and i get access to all my cool EAX advanced HD, THX truStudio etc.. things on that list BUT i get crackling noises every now and again when playing music/games whatever. However i uninstall the audio driver software and i get no crackling sound when i listen to music or such, but i cannot access any of the features anymore.Whats going on here? its not the speakers or headphones i use, they have been tested on multiple devices, this only happens after the audio driver is installed and the audio features are activated.
My PC spec is:
CPU: Intel i7 980 3.33Ghz 12mb cache 6 core GPU: 2x GTX 460 1GB MB: Asus Rampage III Formula RAM: A-Data Plus v2.0 XPG 2GB 1866Mhz 8-8-8-24 x3 in triple channel SSD: OCZ agility ~400-500mb read&write HDD: 1TB 7500RPM WD caviar black
this is all brand new, i just finished building it all a while ago, so there is like no crap running in the background like viruses or unneeded programs.my speakers are just small desktop 2W speakers, and i also use iPhone headphones, i have tried using the front jack on my pc & the rear jack (one that says "front" and is a light green colour) i get the noises nomatter if its headphones or speakers.
if i chage audio drive to nvidea from my graphics card and plug speakers into audio jack on my monitor which gets the HDMI audio from the GPU i get perfect sound.Uninstalling Realtek audio driver makes my pc use a microsoft audio driver it must have default, but it sounds fine.i just cant do ANY of the audio features available from the motherboard without it. and i worry its not HDMI/cinematic surround without this?
I am unable to locate Realtek HD Audio Manager on Windows 7. I have the latest drivers installed, and I can access the Realtek soundcard properties through the control panel, but I cannot seem to find the Realtek HD Audio Manager program anywhere.
I have recently reinstalled my operating system. Once formatted, I installed all the drivers, utilities for my motherboard and graphics card.I now have no sound, even though the RealTek audio driver is installed.I have gone into 'device manager' right clicked to check for updates and Windows advise me that my drivers are up to date. There is an 'x' on my audio icon stating "No Speakers or Headphones are plugged in" and i know my speakers are plugged in and working as i tested them on my ipod. My PC is recognising the input jack, as a window pops up.
An ex coworker of mine installed Windows 7 Pro on a pc for one of our clients, which was never activated. Now it's 30 days later and it's asking for the key. The sticker with the Windows 7 Pro OEM key on the side of the box is rather illegible. I input the key in an attempt to activate, but it fails. My issue is I don't know if I'm putting in the wrong key or the Windows 7 Pro that was installed is not OEM version. Is there an easy way for me to tell if it is OEM or not without having to reinstall?
For XP when you press F8 and select "Choose OS Menu" it will tell you whether it's XP Home or Pro. For Win7 it doesn't give you that option. Is there a way to find out which version of Windows 7 is installed when a system won't boot? Using the Win7 disc and run a command through repair console to find out?
The label on the Win7 disc or COA tells you, but just want to know if there is another method.
I recently formatted my computer and today i went to razer's website to download the drivers for my razer deathadder. During installation a driver came up asking my permission to install it says G-Spy. I clicked yes... =/ because i became accustomed to clicking yes to everything ugh! I cant seem to find any drivers that were . Is there anyway i could search it up somehow?
Windwos did not show any network connections in the network connections window. I tried everything that I could find online but nothing worked. As a last resort I decided to reinstall the driver for my Intel 82566DC-2 Gigabit network connection. I uninstalled the old driver and then installed the latest drivers but now I get code 31 (cannot find the driver software) in device manager and the connection doesn't work.
My brother's new Acer laptop came with microsoft office 2010 supposedly installed into the computer. I can't find a click to run or anything. I do have a product key off of the back of the laptop though.

I have DELL Inspiron 2200. I installed win 7 on it. Now there are two drivers that have exclamation marks in device manager, multimedia audio controller and video controller. The dell site for my laptop doesnt have the drivers for windows 7, only for windows xp. Is there any way to find and install the necessary drivers?
I decided to Dual boot Hackintosh (iDeneb) and Windows 7 on my HP laptop. I got OS X up and running and I can't seem to repair my Windows 7. The installation disk can't find and fix the problem automatically, so I went to Command line prompt and when I type it Bootrec.exe/scanOS is says that it can't find any installed windows on the disks. I am 100% sure I did not over write my windows partition with the OS X and honestly, I have no idea how to get Windows running again without having to install from scratch.
i have downloaded realtek hd audio driver R2.67 from realtek website. but i need realtek hd audio manager. is realtek audio driver and manager are same?
i had installed windows 7 in my laptop, but accidentally i installed it in D-drive,now both C & D drives are showing program files, program files x86,windows folders,my D drive is full
1.I had created a locker on my desktop using "Folder Lock" software. 2.Subsequently I made the locker invisible using "Folder Protect" software. 3.When I was trying to add more files to the locker created in 1 the locker tried to "increase it's size on the run"... 4.This process failed and "Folder Lock" shut down and since then I cannot locate the locker anymore on my PC nor can I see it in "Folder Protect" 5.Having read on a forum, I uninstalled "Folder Protect" and reinstalled...but that did not help..I still could not find the Locker. 6.I even uninstalled and reinstalled "Folder Lock"...even this did not help 7.I understand the lockers created by "Folder Lock" are UNDELETABLE. 8.Clearly my locker is somewhere on my hard disk but I am unable to locate it.
I have both Realtek HD Audio and THX and i am wondering what is the best way to use these two together. I would much rather use just one because i switch between my Logitech surround sound speakers and headphones (that i plug directly into the logitech speaker and not directly into my realtek audio device via the back of the computer) and so i am always having to switch settings around whenever i switch between just speakers or headphonesDoes anyone have some experience with this or knows the best ways to use both of these audio managers or just one? Its rather annoying. Ive thought about just removing THX so i only have to deal with one, but it does seem to make a difference but it could also just be ignorance. On a side note... i dont suppose there is anyway for realtek to recognize that i have inserted a headset into my speaker's headphone jack and adjust its settings.also after updated my realtek driver, i can no longer get the audio manager icon to appear in my notification bar.
i bought creative inspire t6160..i would like to connect it to laptop. how to get 5.1 channel from headphone jack..i used 1 to 3 jack connector for speaker line in.
