I have a windows system that is using networked printers of various types and sometimes when the user goes to print, it will not work because the printer spooling service turns itself off. I need to know why this is happening and how to prevent this from happening. It doesnt seem to be a driver problem because they have been uninstalled and reinstalled in compatibility mode and didnt work.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have two computers wired to a router, both windows 7 Home Premium 64Bit. I have an HP 7580 printer wired to the router. One computer prints just fine. The other will print when the printer is first added, then it will stop printing after awhile. Deleting the printer and re-adding it solves the problem for a short while.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recent purchased a a new computer with Windows 7 Home Premium x64 and a Canon MG5220 Inkjet All-in-One printer. I have setup printer to be wireless (no problems). When I run the setup disk to start downloading the drivers, etc. I get the message that the Print Spooler Service stopped and to restart the computer. I have done that several times. Every time have to restart the spooler in the print spooler properties only to have have it stop a few seconds later when I try to re-run the setup disk. I have deleted the files in the printer and driver files under windowssystem32spoolerdrivers. There is a file called color in the driver filer. I have cleaned up the registry. I have tried the Window Fix.

I cannot add a printer and all my printers from Windows XP were wiped out. I use this machine for business and I did not want to do a file and settings transfer so I updated to Vista and then updated to Windows 7 from there.
I had a bunch of printers installed including a couple of wierd ones such as a FileCabinet Printer, Adobe Acrobat Writer, CutePDF writer, etc. I don't know if these strange printer drivers affected the upgrade but now I cannot add a printer. I tried services.msc and attempted to start the spooler service, it usually is already running and its on automatic. Its not that, its something deeper than that. I also right clicked the spooler service and made sure the check box was checked for allowing the user to interact with it.

I have a problem with downloading a file above roughly 80MB it just stops I tried chrome,firefox and opera and nothing works. On Firefox and Chrome the download just stops on Opera the speed changes to unknown and it stops downloading.I don't have a wireless connection I use modem and my net connection should be okay since on my old comp with same net it worked without problem.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm running Outlook 2010 with about 5 separate POP 3 accounts. I archive regularly and compact after archiving. After a lot of trouble cloning a new C drive to an SSD, Outlook, along with a lot of other software, began acting strangely. Everything has pretty much been resolved except for the Outlook problem.
For no reason I can isolate, Outlook will suddenly close, giving the message that it had to close and it will now try to retrieve my data. It does so, unless I was in the middle of composing an email - that will be gone! Sometimes, instead of closing, it freezes and says application not responding.
I checked the disk for errors using scan now and it's fine. I've run memtest and it's fine. I've run in safe mode and it just shut down with no comments. In working my way through suggestions on this board, I just ran Sysinternals Process Explorer until the error occurred and went back to normal. In looking at Process Explorer, I'm afraid the actual data is overwhelming to me. However, I'll attach everything I have.

I have a Dell XPS M1730 with Windows 7 Ultimate and it was doing an iTunes update and the lid got closed during the update process. Now when I start the computer up it says "the user profile service service failed the login, user profile cannot be loaded". The computer starts up in safe mode and won't let me do a system restore because it says it is shut off.When I look at User Profiles in Windows 7, it states that the users profile is as backup and the default profile is the local profile. How can I fix my computer to get my user profile back up and working?

when i try to create a new user profile ~ with or without a password, it shows up on the main login page, but when i click on it to open, the message "UserProfileService_service failed the logon_user profile cannot be loaded". i have searched microsoft support with little solutions listed. and the ones that are listed seem too technical for me to be trying on my own. there are many posts there with this problem, but they all seem to be several years old.
i am using windows 7. i have never been able to create any accounts other than my administrator account & the one account i use for all my general computer use. i have been using norton 360 with no problems. i have resorted to just using any "log in/log out' links on all the sites my husband wants to use.i am really not all that confident doing anything super technical to fix this, since i don't have a real understanding of different extensions or types of files. i am afraid i could really mess everything up really bad. but, it would just be SO MUCH EASIER & FASTER if i had my account & my husband had his own account.

When I try going to a web page, it doesn't even try to load. It gives a very quick blink to the icon on the tab but that's it. I'm not receiving any windows errors. The way that I've been working around this problem has been to log off(or shut it down) then log back on, then I have a few more hours before it does it again. When the browser stops working, "bittorrent" still runs (a program that needs internet access). This isn't a recent problem that I'm having. This has been going on for almost a year now.I'm running Windows7.

If there's a scan, it will freeze, whatever I choose to do, it will ignore it, but the computer isn't frozen completely since I can still access the start menu. Computer works fine in safe mode. I am have 2 256GB SSDs running in raid 1 as my 'C' drive and 2-2TB hard drives are 'D' & 'E'. My system tells me that windows is handling the defragmentation of my drives. What I would like to know is if there is a way to stop the system from defragmenting my SSD 'C' drives, but let the OS defragment my D and E hard drives. Every time I use the machine, and especially when on the net, the system stops functioning and I get the BSOD with a warning it is performing a crash dump. View 6 Replies View Relatedi will be listening to Internet and playing a game (minecraft) while having a skype conversation. all is working fine, no cpu spikes, no high memory, then everything just stops.all audio is cut, all screens display what they had and nothing more (no update/movement), the mouse doesn't move and keyboard does not respond either.according to the hard drive activity light, there is no activity either.pressing the reset button on the case has no effect until pressed about four/five times in which then the computer will reset.system log has no relevant data on the complete stop, crash happened around 5:15pm and no log between 4:57:56pm - 5:26:36pm except for logons and logoffs.will be picking up canned air and removing all dust from the machine to rule out over heating.this is not really a constant issue, just keeps happening randomly, no really pattern.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy PC has recently stopped responding completely at times. Even Ctrl Alt Del doesn't bring up the usual menu, and I have to use the power button to reboot. There is no BSOD, but windows prompts me to choose between normal boot and safe mode when I reboot. The issue arises regardless of what I'm doing; it has occured when I'm gaming, or just surfing the internet. Running system restore to a restore point before the most recent updates from windows doesn't seem to fix the issue. The PC is about 1 year old. It's running Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium, installed with an OEM disc on a custom system. Using a P67A-UD3-B3 motherboard and i5-2400 processor.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSomeone brought me their laptop yesterday, not usually my kinda thing to do repairs but I thought it was gonna be a software issue but no constant BSoDs on Vista so I figured I'd install 7 which worked fine for a bit but it was still playing up given it was a fresh install and then some more blue screens! I ran Windows Memory Diagnostic and it said there were errors within seconds but I couldn't get back onto 7 to view them. This morning I cleaned it out and swapped the memory to the other port but the screen wouldn't even switch on then, so I put it back and made sure it was seated properly and ran memory diagnostic again and no errors! Success! The only thing is, the fan isn't spinning it spins for about 5 seconds but then nothing and I imagine soon enough it'll overheat.
