View 4 RepliesI am running Windows7 Ultimate 32bit for almost 1 year. But now for approx one month i am having a problem and the problem is that when I enter the password at login screen the welcome screen appears for at least 30 second and after desktop appeared, the icons appear after 5-6seconds.I have applied all the fixes from Microsoft and also searched the internet but none of them solved my problem.I also uninstalled unnecessary programs, disabled startup programs, turned off Aero but none of them work too.
Here is list of programs installed on my PC: [URL]
When one of my Exec's laptops boots to Windows 7, he presses CTRL ALT DEL and the screen does not return the login box until 15-20 seconds later. Then he can login fine.He is part of a special OU so he does not get the Windows Updates that the rest of our users receive.I took an image of his machine and dumped it to his idenitcal backup machine and the same behavior occurs. If you boot to safe mode w/networking, it DOES NOT behave that way and brings the logon box immediately. He uses the machine on our domain and when he takes it home on his personal network. He also has 1 mapped drive which resides on his home network, but I'm not sure if he experiences the same thing when he's docked @ home.If I login and then log out, the behavior doesn't happen. It only happens when I restart or boot from shutdown. This behavior also happens whether or not he's wired into the network or not.
I was going to try System Restore but since there are no restore points since this was a cloned image. I guess the restore points are on the small partition on his system?Troubleshooting So far.. * I have run C Cleaner and rebooted, no change* Disabled all startup items (msconfig), no change.* ipconfig /flushdns, reboot, no change* updated Intel network drivers, reboot, no change* tried the Windows 7 repair, but it failed* changing the desktop background from the picture to a solid color and back, no change.* checked gpedit.msc setting "Always wait for network at computer startup and logon and it's not enabled.* changed MTU size of network* reinstalled NIC and WLAN cardDell Latitude 6320 4G RAMSamsung SSD 250GB Win 7 Enterprise
Every time I try to open a folder after few seconds I get a message saying Windows Explorer has stopped working. I checked "Always show icons, never thumbnails" when ever I uncheck the box windows explorer will not last for 10 seconds am trying to locate the error and I like using the thumbnail.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an HP desktop x64, win 7 32 i just did a factory restore 2 day ago but, I still have 1 of the problems I had before; the mouse on my computer will freeze for like 20 sec and sometimes causing the system to crash. Yesterday, it shut down on me and a blue screen popped up it said something about the drivers or bios but, I checked the maintenance and it said everything passed (good).
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently re-installed Windows 7 from some rescue disks, and everything, with the exception of Internet Explorer is now running fine! Basically whenever I load a web page in IE it crashes after a short time (5 - 10 seconds), and I then have to exit with CTRL + SHIFT + ESC (Task Manager)! Inside task manager I actually have to terminate the IE processes, as IE won't exit if I attempt to shut down through the Applications tab.
Initially IE8 was installed from the rescue disks, and I have since upgraded to IE9, but both versions are behaving just as badly as each other.
I have even tried to start IE in "No-Add Ons" mode from the "Accessories" menu - however after a short time it still crashes. Now I have no add ons enabled, I have deleted everything (in IE history), scanned for viruses (there are none), and I am wondering if there is some way of repairing IE?
P.S.: I have installed other browsers, but I actually need IE for running some Microsoft Online Services, all other browsers are only supported in "lite" mode!!!
After attempting to start my PC in Safe Mode to uninstall a graphics driver, it loaded drivers normally only to crash a few seconds after displaying the logon screen, which immediately caused the computer to load Windows normally. This error has been repeated countless times with the same result.
I have only tried to start up 'normal' Safe Mode. Sometimes key strokes are accepted (one time I had enough time to start inputting my password), but mostly, Safe Mode loads drivers, flashes the logon screen, and crashes.
Any ideas/advice? I have had this computer for 3 years now and this is the first time I have tried to start it in Safe Mode. If it matters, it's a Studio 1737, 8 GB ram, etc., more details can be provided if necessary.
I accidently screwed up the administrator account and once, i tried to install a software and it came "You need a administrator password to proceed"so i typed it then it came the error"this user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer i tried a lot but its still not working and i cant install anythin.

View 1 Replies View Relatedwindows 7 x64 on my laptop (intel core i5 @ 2.50ghz, 4 gb ram) has recently started freezing for a few seconds every few seconds, when i'm doing just about anything: browsing the web, copying files, using text redactor, etc. only the mouse cursor responds, control is back after a couple of seconds.
* the behaviour remains the same when booting in the safe mode
* there are no cpu or memory usage peaks in process explorer
* there are no hardware conflicts in device manager
* there are no critical errors in system log
* there is no antivirus active
* hardware tests (memory, etc.) do not report any errors
i suspect this has started after i've updated all the drivers from manufacturer's site, but i am not 100% sure. anyway, i do not know which driver has caused this and i cannot easily restore to the previous state.
I have a month-old Dell Inspiron N7010 Core i5 460M with 6 gigs of ram running on Windows 7. Until recently, it has been starting up in about 75 seconds. However, out of nowhere, it suddenly began starting up in between 2 and a half minutes to 3 minutes. I am completely baffled, and I do not know what is wrong. Could it have been something I installed, or is it something that is beyond my knowledge. The last things I downloaded before the problems started were Starcraft II, Need for Speed World, and Microsoft Security Essentials, but I doubt one of those is the source of problem.
View 1 Replies View RelatedEvery time I try to get administrative access, I type in the password and it says, "There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request." I'm able to sign in as the administrator, it's just when I need to gain administrative access that this error pops-up.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWe have just been sent a free computer for our office. A Windows 7 HP 32bit.We can login locally i think to a local user KB_SUF/User (where KB_SUF is the name of the computer)however whenever the UAC comes up when installing anything, we cannot proceed because it keeps saying "There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request" The thing is they sent us the computer without removing it from the domain Now I cant install the programs i need to work and it doesnt seem like theres a local admin on this computer. I tried removing this computer from the domain but it requires going through UAC.Is there any way to make this computer a Local only PC?The company that sent us the computer is in another country and they say they can send someone over in 6 months which is longer than i can wait.

View 4 Replies View Relatedi've had this pc for a year almost now and it just started to freeze at random moments for like 10 seconds, but after that it return to normal. it can really be annoying while watching Internet or something the sound gets really irritating. the picture stays the same, and after few seconds it just quickly rewinds in few pictures.
pc config

mother : asrock p43de3
memory : xms3 (ddr3 2x2gb)
graphic : ati radeon hd 5850

if anybody can help i would be grateful.... and yea i think (but im not 100% sure) the longer the pc is up and running the more often it will happen... and it happens while im watching Internet most of the time (or any streams). it doesn't happen while i'm playing any video games or anything like that (maybe it does but it is rare).... and it can happen while im on desktop just copying some files any that.
So lately I've been getting lag spikes every 30 seconds or so. They last no more than 1 or 2 seconds, but they are incredibly annoying. For example, I will be typing, scrolling, clicking something, or watching something and it will completely freeze for 1 or 2 seconds, then suddenly jump to where the screen is supposed to be (like to the tab that SHOULD be showing if I clicked on a different tab during the lag spike) [code] Everything was fine. One day I restarted my PC (I usually set it to sleep at night, but this time I had to restart) and after that I noticed the lag spikes. The only significant thing between then and now is probably reinstalling TESIV Oblivion but I do not see that being an issue. These lag spikes are not related to my web browser, as they happen even when I do not use the internet. However I DO NOT GET ANY LAG SPIKES WHILE I AM PLAYING A GAME. When my PC is dedicated to running a game I do not get any lag spikes at all. They only happen on the desktop / internet.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI think its the CPU or the RAM, My CPU is i5 3470, and RAM is Kingston 1600Mhz 4x2GB the bios set my ram to 1333 for some reason when Installed the win, I set it back to 1600 manually. and it freezes after a few hours repeatedly. here are my CPU-Z screenshots of CPU,Memory and SPD tabs, tell me if something's wrong.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI hope I'm posting this in the right sub-forum....! I've been having lag issues for about two months and I'm getting pretty tired of it.The basic problem.I get lagspikes of between 300 and 1200 ms every 20-40 seconds and this is consistent regardless of what I am doing.
[code]...
There is no apparent link between the lag and CPU or memory (RAM) usage. So I've ruled that out because these stay at the same level even during the lag.I should add that all the relevant drivers are up to date.
my pc is restarting it self after a few min it was a message in a blue box but it gose of befor i read it

View 2 Replies View RelatedOk well we had some lighting today but power did not go off, maybe made some of the things flicker for half a second. After PC shut down went to go turn it back on, would boot for a few seconds but then turn off, never got the beep from the mobo or anythings..Things i tired.
-Different power supply (same thing)
-Removed CMOS and put back in (same thing)
-left all but 1 ram in (same thing)
I am thinking its the mobo but i want to be 100 % sure before i go out an buy a used one, as for some reason 1366 mobos are expensive.
I have a Dell Inspiron laptop. Two years old. I'll be watching a movie or listening to audio and it will stutter for 1-3 seconds every 30seconds to two minutes. I did a memory diagnosis and there was no error to be found. It only started yesterday after I uninstalled a few unnecessary programs and turned a few things off in command prompt. I undid what I did yesterday and it made no difference.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI currently run everything in admin mode. most of my games force me to. When my pc just turns on it is quick instant response time, but after running for half a day it becomes slowed.. When i click on a program to start you know how it goes to a lightey darkend screen and the yellow dialog box asking to run the program? Well this is how it works. i get a full black screen for about 15 seconds. then the yellow dialog box then the black screen again for 15 seconds. this is on any of my programs. then back to desktop then the program starts. and not even then does the program really start takes about 15 more seconds then black screen then the program starts running. BUT it still isnt.. the screen goes black, then goes to a lighter shade of black, then dark black, then lighter shade of black then the program starts time elaspes 45 seconds or so.. this is for any program.. and when this occurs the black screens i get this EEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRR sound from my speakers and if something else is running say teamspeak they all disappear for that time till the program starts.
Also another way to see this issue is when i alt tab out. Takes 2 seconds when the pc is just start or before hand. now it coudl take 45 seconds to get to desktop and 45 to get back in. while this could also cause programs to stop responding and screws with the icon placement on my desktop. Another way of it showing is when i press on the start button and it takes up to 15 seconds to appear. or when i try to pull back up a web browser same amount of timeThis all start occuring after i placed in a second graphics card. although i cant understand why that woudl be causing the issue.restarting the machine is the ONLY way to get this to stop happening and it is truely fustrating i run a very high end computer.
