I have this nice music video captured at a live TV show of the French Canal2. Unfortunately it is all cluttered with captions. I wonder whether someone has an idea how to get rid of those captions. My original is in .wmv at 180MBs, but for uploading it to skydrive I had to convert it to .flv because of the Skydive 50MB limit per upload.
View 2 RepliesIve read this is a windows 7 problem but all my mp4's have the usual default image instead of what they used to have when I first downloaded them. Did the thumbnail location change? I did, at one point, install a new media player which became my default for some reason, I corrected that problem but all my mp4 thumbnails vanished after I returned media player as my default...whats the deal here? I tried clearing and resetting the thumbnail cache, I also tried rebuilding the icon cache
View 2 Replies View Relatedi have some troubles to play all kind of media files now. the problem comes out a few days ago and i have no idea what may be the reason. i am very sure i didn't install anything to my computer and there is no notifications to tell me anything that is damaged etc. and i just reinstall the entire computer once today but the problem is ongoing!!!!!!!!!!i am running my computer on windows 7 Pro X86. And the problems is that doesn't matter what media player i use and no matter what type of files i try to play they start to play for about one second then automatically stopped. but if i switch the media player to background then they can play the file till it finish. so far i have tried windows media player VLC KMplayer Real player and quick time player. the file i have tried are mp3 mp4 flv mkv wma wmv avi 3gp and ape.
a funny thing i notice is that when i move my mouse to the minimized windows on taskbar, the preview only flash out for a short time then disappear even i don't move my mouse, not sure if this has anything to do with my problem though.
i have private video and music file, and play it on hidden.i always make sure that the file is hidden.but when i click on START button and then TYPE the name of the file on Search program and files Field down there, it always showed up? You can try the same thing too, after you see a hidden text file or video file, it still can be searched.I suppose there are history section somewhere on windows 7 i need to delete.

I've been attempting to troubleshoot it but I'm not to sure about how to find the cause of the problem. Based on my google search, which led me here, it's caused by either RAM, HDD, Drivers or overheating. However, my videos folder has extra files such as thumbnail pictures and music that are showing up in WMP. I do not want them to show up.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just noticed today that my video and music files in explorer no longer show the album art or the video instead of the standard Icon when viewing large icons in folders. I think it is because I recently installed and uninstalled winamp. (thats the only thing I can think of) I cant do system restore because I had it disabled. I've tried reseting the search index, reseting folder options, going under performance and checking the settings there, nothing has changed. I really dont want to have to wipe and reinstall...
Here is a picture if you dont get what Im saying, as you can see in the folders it still displays the album art of the files but the actual mp3 files dont show it. The album art works fine in WMP.

View 2 Replies View Relatedmy PC randomly hangs and makes a lovely noise (through the speakers rather than the computer itself) when listening to music, watching vids online/offline, gaming, basically at any time, when there is no sound it still hangs for a second when moving the mouse but makes no noise through the speakers. I've just done a clean install and have removed all OC to see if it makes any difference, all drivers are up to date with latest versions from manufacturers, i'm about to pull out my sound card and use onboard sound to see if that's the issue, but i believe i've tried that once before. Have experienced BSOD on this rig, but haven't had it for a while.

1: everytime i rename the file , = Windows Explorer is not responding
2: click on the .MKV properties, nothing happened....
3: try to replace with another file with a same name = doesn't work.
4: boot from safe mode, still won't let me delete it
5: it won't let me move the .MKV to other folders as well
6. Cannot take control of it.
7. tried renaming the .mkv extension to .txt no winrar no luck.
8. tried deleting the file containing it no luck.
I'm unable to delete a video file off my desktop. When I move it to the trash I get a dialog box saying "The action can't be completed because the file is open by Windows Explorer. Close file and try again."This even happens after rebooting and right after login I drag the file to the trash. How can I delete this video file?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen listening to music on my PC, it does not matter if I use Winamp, Songbird, Quicktime, Windows Media Player, or any other software. Every so often, there appears some sort of distortion, like the drive that the music is on slows down. I dont know if it is the driver or what. Its hard to explain. You have to hear it. I dont think its the mp3 file itself, cause I could play a song and it will be perfect, but then the next time I play it, it will distort. It is really driving my nuts cause I can't find the reason for it.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am using a third party music player, MusicBee, to play my music, however if I select a folder in windows explorer of an artist that has more than one album in sub folders under the artist name then the "PLAY ALL" button does nothing.
If I select a folder without sub folders inside the PLAY button works fine and open MusicBee to play the music.
I also have VLC installed and if I right click on any music folder I get the Play with VLC option, how can I add this same option for MusicBee.
I need to replace a W2K computer on a domain with a Windows 7 computer(laptop), but I want to keep the same computer name.I need the ip, username, profile to stay the same. View 3 Replies View RelatedI have AVS Video Converter and what I'm trying to do is download 1920x1080 (I don't want 720p) video clips, converting them from mp4 to wmv and setting them as my desktop background. I use this converter because it is the first converter I tried that gives me lossless conversion to wmv. My screen resolution is 1280x800.I use the 1920x1080 video and leave all the settings except for aspect ratio which I set to 16:9 and the resolution to encode the video at 1280x800.When I set it as my desktop background, the video is still 1920x1080 and if you compare the original to the desktop background, the video is "protruding" from the screen, so I can't see some areas.I've tried setting windows background to center, tile and all options but still nothing.
