Oct 13, 2012From last two days my laptop is not working whenever I turn on my laptop it show me the messege of setup repair automatecally then it start processing and after few min it show me finish option and when I click on finish it shutdown automatecally this happens again and again. If I try to start on safe mode I can't it againg start that process again.

Aug 9, 2011despite the fact that i have been trying to boot up win7pro64 in normal mode in my vaio for the past one month, all of my endeavors have failed so far. i am left with nothing else other than going for recovery resulting the loss of all of software (hopefully, i can backup my data by using ubuntu which is present as dual-boot and/or by safe mode which are booting fortunately). i have tried the following so far in safe mode:
# HDD/RAM tests; passed
# malware check by malwarebytes; passed
# reinstalling the graphics driver as i have a doubt that the video driver is not working since screen goes blank instead of getting blue logon screen with user name/icon/password after windows initial boot (the cursor appears on the screen and i can make it move by using touchpad); passed
# start-up repair; failed
# going back to last good config; failed
# restore point; none exists!
# manual update by downloading recent patches from windows update catalog (using a different computer as this did not allow for some weird reason) since the problem started only after recent windows update that failed during installation; failed.safe mode does not allow me to fix anything, windows update does not work here in addition to some other important functions that could be done in normal mode.couple of windows updates and loss of the system? i will absolutely hate to go for the recovery.

Jan 8, 2012bought a dell touchscreen inspiron one 2320, thought it would be better than my two year old dell (don't see it yet). i am an average user and i am not impressed. anyway the question is why does the monitor go black after 1 minute? i have done all the normal stuff in power options. change power saving settings, change when the computer sleeps. choose when to turn off display. turn hibernation on or off. i upload to Internet and it the shutting down makes it frustrating....

Jun 17, 2010I have been trying to clean install Windows 7 ultimate (DVD is fine, have installed on my friend's laptop successfully) since last week, but with no luck. Everything is fine during the installation; I can see the welcome screen, and then shut down. After my pc restart, passes the self-testing, it would reboot right before windows logo shows up. It turns into rebooting loop stopped every time before windows logo shows up. Also tried with Sapphire HD 3650 512MB (Dual DVI) graphic card, the results were the same.

Some of them are coloured, some are grey but they appear on all programmes, including a Word blank page and the desktop page. Some of them flash, some of them change shape, ut they are all pixel shaped within the boxes. There are also some strange 'squiggly' marks on the screen. When I opened Windows mail, the left hand side of the screen was completely black and it didn't show any of my messages. As I'm typing this message, I've got grey boxes which change shape as I type and it's covering some of the text.

Show Multiple Users On Login Screen?
Aug 14, 2010My home pc (Windows 7 Ultimate) is part of my business domain, but I also have local user accounts for my wife and kids.
At the login screen there is a icon for the last user that logged in and another labeled "Other Users" for the rest of the users, so that if a different user needs to login they have to select "Other Users" then enter the DOMAIN/USERID and password to logon.
Is there a way to have it show all three users with their icons at the login screen so they can just click their icon and enter their password (all have passwords) to logon. Getting them to enter the DOMAIN/USERID correctly everytime is a challenge since the slash has to go the correct way and the domain name is somewhat long.
Programs List Do Not Show / Screen Resolution Low
Aug 9, 2011After setting up a new install of Windows 7 Professional 64bit on a Samsung laptop (previously had home premium installed). I am having these issues that I am not sure of how to resolve:
1) when clicking on the start button the programs screen pops open but NO recent programs or pinned programs show up in the list without going to ALL Programs.
2) Laptop monitor and 20" LCD Desktop monitor both are running and the neither one will go above 1366 x 768 resolution setting. I have reinstall the latest Nvidia Gforce drivers with no change.
