I recently upgraded to Windows 7. Since the upgrade, my microphone has not worked. The input volume is too low to be heard, even at max volume and mic boost.
I've tried disabling and re-enabling it, and adjusting every bar I can find that concerns to max. Neither has produced a result.
I'm tempted to un and re-install the mic, but I don't know where my driver disk is, so I'm afraid of doing irreversible damage.
I've just installed Win 7 on my Toshiba M100. After installation, the sound driver (Realtek HD Audio) is automatically detected and it works in a very riddiculous way:- In the Sound Setting --> Playback tab --> There're TWO speakers, both are High definition audio device and look exactly the same. If I set the first speaker as default, then I can hear sound from the laptop's speakers but when I plugin my headphone, I can not hear anything !!! If I set the second speaker as default, then the laptop's speakers doesn't work, but when I plugin my headphone, I can hear sound from my headphoneThis is very riddiculous and annoying, having to switch default sound device everytime I plugin or take out the headphone is almost absurd
so i have a blue yeti, and i'm an online animator/voice actor. whenever i record audio on my blue yeti (or any other mic) i record about 4-6 inches from the mic, and turn the gain down enough that the audio doesn't peak as i yell or whatever. this is what you're supposed to do if you don't want your audio levels peaking and making your recording sound horrible and corrupted. however, afterwards, it means i have really quite recordings. not a problem right? now that it's recorded right, i can boost the volume of the entire clip afterwards right? wrong. i'm not an audio expert so i must be missing something. but why in gods name would the audio distort and peak after it's recorded successfully? it's all there, it's all clean audio. if i turn the volume on my speakers all the way up it sounds crystal clear! all i want to do is do that inside the computer so that when i upload it to Internet people don't have to turn their speakers so far up. but if i increase the clips volume in the computer, it distorts! it sounds awful! why?! i tried in sony acid and audacity and they both do the same thing! i can take sound effects, and recordings made by other producers and crank them up nice and loud, but mine just fall apart!
I bought a USB A4 Tech HU-200 HeadPhone Its volume is quite high even when the windows volume is at 0, When its at max 100 it works like dedicated speakers Is there any way to reduce the volume beyond the lowest volume of windows 7?
Note: My Headphone does not have any soft of driver or software
I just received a new keyboard today: Thermaltake Challenger Ultimate. I went from a Logitech G15.
First thing I did was connect the keyboard and install the software that came along on the CD, it probably also installed the correct drivers. First after this did I uninstall the software and drivers from the old Logitech G15. But before that, and now after, the volume buttons on my new keyboard is still not adjusting the volume when I press them.
A speaker-icon like this shows up when I press the volume buttons, so its not that the keys are not working: (ignore the text behind it, its me writing an assignment)
I recently got this problem, that my volume hotkeys stopped working, (Acer Aspire 5560G) AMD High Definition Audio. I also tryed plug in other keyboard that have's volume hotkeys but still doesn't work.
I like to listen to music loudly sometimes. I have both the volume mixer and my application's volume set to maximum levels, but it's not loud enough for my liking. Is there any way to increase the maximum sound volume in Windows 7?
Without boring everyone with how it happened. I need help with my USB connection's. If I attach a USB device (anything). I can hear it connect but it does not show in Windows Explorer. I cannot see my IPOD in Itunes either. It's not a case of unplug and plug in again. My USB socket's are OK. It's been happening for ages. I'm about to get a Windows 8 PC and I thought I'd give this one to my son. Before I do, I want to ensure it work's OK
I have my audio source I have plugged into line in.If i right click on the speaker icon on the tooltray, and select 'recording devices' I get the recording window - there I see the "Line In" - the bar graph next to it pumps up and down suggesting my sound reaches the PC.I then double click on "Line In", click on the "Listen" tab, and click on "Listen to this device" - but I don't hear anything.Clicking on the speaker icon i select playback devices, and right click on speakers (I tried the same thing with headphones), and click 'test' I hear the test sound. I select properties and check the levels, they are turned up.I check the Volume Mixer - the things which can be turned up are turned up.
i plug in my headphones to my laptop the sound still plays like in the speakers instead of my headphones. i dont think theres something wrong with the headphone plug cause the laptop is only 3 months old.... i have a HP dm4-2050us...
when i try to watch videos it just a green screen i can hear the sounds but no video. it happened a few minutes after i had updated my AMD video drivers from steam. is there anyway to fix it?
I use media Center with Media Browser because it is supper easy and supper organized way to display videos and movies and tv shows from main menu of Media Browser. Setting is also very easy and it works inside Media center. Movies Quilty and sound goes down or get dim or it hard to hear the movies. In some movies such as Blu - Ray H264 1080p i have to bring my TV sound option to 100% to berly be able to hear sound. Same thing goes to Video. i really would love to get this fixed I am using Media Browser with windows media center
I was using windows 7 fine, then I came back home today, booted up and put on my headphones and realized I could hear (and can as I type) my fingers typing and every noise that passes over the mic on my laptop.
I have no idea what has caused this, and I can't seem to get it to go away.
And I just tested it now and the mic is also playing through my speakers.
I have a RadioShark (Griffin Technology) that records and allows replay of AM and FM radio programs. I've successfully installed it on my new Dell Inspirion with Windows 7 and it shows up and even lets me set up programs, but I can't hear any playback. The Griffin website says to change my Audio so that the RadioShark is the default but I can't figure out how to do that. I've looked at all possible options on the control panel but nothing seems to work.
I have a weird problem where I can click on the play icons on this page Sermons - East Liberty Presbyterian Church under "hear the sermon" yet the same page in IE8 doesn't do anything when I click, even though the cursor turns into the little hand icon.
I have flash 10,0,32,18 installed in both browsers, yet IE refuses to play (nor in compatibility mode). Can anyone else duplicate this problem?
I can play other types of audio in IE without issue.
I've been having trouble since about 2 days back, my headset and my speakers worked just fine till i shut the computer down for the night. then the following morning there was just no sound, I kinda tried everything these days but nothing works...Anyway, I got a steelseries 3h VR headset and some kind of speakers, I know that they both work ( I tried it on my dads computer) so there's no problem with them i guess. I got windows home premium 64bit?
When I have my Headset plugged in the front of the computer, I find that I must unplug my Headset inorder to hear the External Speakers. Is there a way to get around unplugging the Headset plug? Afraid constant plugging and unplugging will wear out the connector and have to go inside of computer to replace the connector.
