View 1 RepliesI've not used messenger since I installed Windows 7 x64 Ultimate, but now I want to I can't. For some reason, even though it appears to be up and running with me logged in fine, it won't show me any IM's received or made. If I hover over the icon in the taskbar, I can see I have a conversation window open, but if I click on it, nothing happens. I can see the main page no problem, but never any conversation window.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a toolbar on my taskbar titled "Programs". It has about eight folders in it. I made another toolbar, and placed it directly adjacent to the Programs toolbar, to obscure the eight folders and force it to be a dropdown menu.Trouble is, as soon as I lock my taskbar, right next to the arrow that displays the eight items of my Programs toolbar in menu-form, one of the eight items is showing up as an icon, as if the other toolbar isn't close enough to the Programs toolbar in order to completely obscure the eight items.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am not technical enough to understand the messages I get - they are quickly gone before the PC shuts down and then restarts each time. I have zipped up the report and dump files - System bought with Win 7 64-bit Pro SP1 as an OEM install and is about 6-months old. I have added a PCI-E USB card to add additional USB ports and a second hard drive. Running 8GB of Corsair RAM and BSOD happens at random times - from simple web browsing to web design sessions with several software packages open. I cannot see a pattern to the shutdowns.

on both my netbook and desktop. I have never downloaded a crack or any of that kind of crap, so have other window 7 RC users started getting this message to?
When I go online to fix the problem I noticed it says this:

If you are running Windows 7 Beta or the Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC), you are seeing this message because the product is not yet available for purchase. Learn more about Windows 7. So did Windows just start showing this on all Windows 7 RC's or what?
I got my registration keys from windows, and downloaded from there. Never downloaded from a torrent site. I've had Windows 7 RC on both my netbook and desktop since it came out in May, and never had an issue until now. SO?
I am getting error messages on start up first one is C:windowssystem32igfxtray.exe and the second one is C:windowssystem32igfxpers.ex

I can't see how to get the messages into WLM.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIn Windows Live Mail, when I receive junk mail, it is not placed in the junk mail folder, though it appears as unread mail. If I select the message and then click the Junk button, I receive the message "The selected message(s) could not be moved. An error has occurred." I tried removing and re-installing WLM and junk mail worked correctly for a while, but now the same problem is occurring again.
What is causing the problem and how can I fix it?
I have downloaded and started using Windows Live as my email client. How do deleted the messages off the server after I see the messages on windows live?? The reason I ask the question is after I download the files, I can go to my webbase client (not windows live) and I see the same messages downloaded to that site...
is there a way I can delete the file from the server, I am pretty sure that xp's OE has that function which is in the delivery system and I could not find it under windows live..
I am using kis 2009 on Windows 7 but I have one message and I am not sure what's the meaning....The message is on picture...so if someone have this problem please report it..

View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought windows 7 professional because I wanted the xp option. I expected to keep all important stuff. View 2 Replies View RelatedOn instruction from my ISP I deleted my windows live mail email account to try to overcome a repetitive issue of having to re-enter my password each time I hit sent/receive mail. When I went to tools/accounts and hit remove, all of my emails disappeared.
I have been through the process of trying to import them back into windows live mail, I have uninstalled/reinstalled, deleted the windows live mail folder (having kept a copy on an external drive) and have tried a variety of imports to no avail.
I even installed Outlook 2007 and tried an import and even an export to Outlook 2007 direct from Windows Live Mail. Although there has been some progress in respect of seeing an export/import happen (i.e the emails are counted) and folders appearing in Outlook in the left hand side, there are no messages evident within the folders. I have even managed to appear to import them back into WLM but although the folders appear in the left column the messages are not there.
I did not export the messages prior to the account removal and adding back in WLM, which I suppose I should have done, but I have not deleted the WLM folder in user/.../application data/local/Microsoft, so they are still there but not visible. New mail has now been added from the server to further complicate issues.
Is there a way to get all of my mail back to how it was? I appreciate that numerous folder appear in the left hand side as storage folders with some unknown names.
I have an odd problem with Windows Live Mail. As soon as I installed it, I unchecked the following options under Options -> General:Check for new messages every ... (30 minutes) and Send and receive messages at startup. So these options now DO NOT have the check mark next to them.Despite this, my Windows Live Mail checks for new email messages on all accounts (both for my ISP, my hosting as well as on Gmail accounts) every 30 minutes or perhaps every 1 hour and downloads any new email messages, even when I don't tell it to do so. I am not sure about the exact time period but it certainly checks for new emails even when I don't tell it to do so. If I leave the computer overnight I always find new emails downloaded by tomorrow morning.
