How To List All Computers In Network Through CMD
Jun 22, 2011I have used the cmd command "net view" to attempt to list all computers in the network.However, net view appears to list only the computers that lie in the current domain.What command could I use to list all the computers that appear on the network, in any domain?I was even thinking of running "dir" on something like My Network Places or something like that but I don't really know how to do that.Is there a command I can use to list all computers and not just current domain?

Jan 27, 2012I switched my medion akoya i3 1tb (running windows 7) pc on this morning and up popped startup repair. When it had finished it gave me the option to do a system restore which I tried to do but then I got a message saying

Install Windows 7 On Medion Akoya
May 29, 2010I'm trying to install Windows 7 on my Medion Akoya model number MD97620.Doing a boot install from the DVD, I get to the Win 7 welcome screen where I am offered the choice to install, repair or more information or something else I can't remember.When I click on install, it comes up saying the CD/DVD driver is missing and asks me to insert disc or memory with appropriate driver to proceed with install.I contacted Medion and they directed me to the appropriate firmware update which included the update and original driver. I put the original driver on a memory stick and restarted the process.Got to the same point and tried to browse to the memory stick but when I do it can't see the driver file and says the stick is empty.Thinking it may be a problem with the memory stick, I went back into Vista and put the graphics drivers on the same stick and started the process again.Again back to the same point, but this time the graphics drivers show on the memory stick, but guess what, no CD/DVD driver still. It is definitely still on the stick.
I have also tried putting the file on a DVD, but it does the same.The CD/DVD drive is a Samsung SN-S083B, the laptop has an Intel Core Duo T6600 with 4GB Ram and is running Vista.When I did a compatibility check before I bought Win 7, it said everything was fine with perhaps a couple of question marks, but the CD/DVD drive had a tick next to it so why is it causing problems? I have noticed other people having problems with Win 7 once installed with the same brand CD/DVD, but their problems seem slightly different to mine. I can't even install my OS.
Windows 7 Medion Pc Safe Mode
Dec 10, 2010I have a new Medion PC with Windows 7.I need to access safe mode. On boot i get the option to press f8 for boot options which gives me exactly that. A list of boot devices and nothing else.Also, is the option to press f11 for recovery which i didn't try as i'm not sure what would happen.Also, how do i enter the Bios menus if i need it in the future.My Vista PC was so easy where this was concerned.

Jul 23, 2012We recently upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium after having issues w/a yearly upgraded antiviral software that suddenly wouldn't work w/Vista. No problems, then one evening while in an open live video chat forum it crashed, never had a problem with this before. Have gotten the BSOD since then. Currently only works in safe mode. Ran repair, ran restore previous, nothing works. When he loaded Windows 7, he got updates but I don't think he checked for updates with the drivers. Also, he was in the slow process of pulling off alot of family pics as they are taking up too much space.

I performed a secure erase of the HD with "Clean All" command in DISKPART and reformatted the drive in ntfs. When I install Windows 7 64 bit I get an error 85% through that says "windows could not configure one or more system components" and requires a new installation. Did I wipe critical drivers from SONY that are needed to perform an install? If so what steps do I need to take to install Windows 7?

Feb 27, 2012I just recently updated from XP to 7 and everything was fine for a few weeks but that honeymoon seems to come to an end.
First symptom was that Messenger couldn't connect, and after a few days I uninstalled it and tried to re-install it. Well, the installer couldn't connect anywhere to get files and I decided to let it be.
Then I installed some new hardware and allowed Windows to connect somewhere to get the drivers (I don't usually do that, but with this hardware it has allways worked well) and it couldn't find anywhing this time. I just thought that 'well, windows, it's allways a different battle' and got the drivers from the hardware manufacturer.
Now I would really like to get the Messenger up and running again and tried to look at it again. I thought maybe I should do a windows update first and off I went. At this point I realized that the problem lies deeper than Live Essentials / Messenger. After just 1 or 2 seconds the update tells that some updates (=none) couldn't be installed + error code 8007273D which 'surprisingly'
From day 1 I've had Zonealarm and Avast! running, I've also tried with them turned on but no help.

Sep 23, 2012I tried to install Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit on my brand new rig and I kept getting a "Windows could not configure one or more of your system components". I tried reformatting, changing the SATA to IDE and AHCPI, nothing worked, so I installed Home Premium x86. Being a 32 bit system it only recognizes 3.5gb of my 8gb Dual Channel DDR3 with 4.5gb being "system reserved hardware".

What if I install all the software I need, activate Seven, then create a system image. Shut down the computer, disconnect the Windows 7 HD, attach an equal new HD, use recovery tools to return the said image to this HD number 2. Put HD 1 back, use BCEDIT or a third party tool to create a boot menu which at this point would include two absolutely identical Seven installations.Then strip down Seven setup #2, disable all unnecessary devices etc. thus creating a Seven - Seven dual boot environment, with two different HW-profiles. The computer is the same, only one of the two Sevens could be used at any given time, and so on

System Will Not Normally Boot After Installing Integrated Components?
Feb 21, 2012I recently created a virtual server of window 2008 x86 enterprise edition. I installed integrated components and configured my educational / testing server and things were working fine until I rebooted the host OS and everything seems peachy but after the OS splash screen something seems to be conflicting locking the OS preventing the user login screen to appear. I checked the bios and intel virtualization Is on in the bios and I can load into safemode so the issue must be caused from some conflict that isn't loaded in safemode. Has anyone run into this issue before and what line of thought did they use to fix the problem -posted from the smartphone of a tired programmer so please forgive any grammatical or spelling issue
