Apr 19, 2012All the programs from yupptv are not played properly. Every 5 sec it is breaking and comes back when you move courser after 30 seconds.

VLC Media Player Won't Play Certain DVDs Properly
Mar 9, 2012I can play most DVDs without any bother with VLC. I recently got 'The World at War - Ultimate Restored Edition', but the discs won't play!
First, VLC just wouldn't open the DVD. I kept trying, and eventually it opened the DVD, but the audio and video were massively choppy.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalled VLC. Now the audio and video are distinctly less choppy, but it's still very irritating.
It's just these DVDs, and I don't get what's different about them!
Keyboard / Usb Stopped Functioning Properly
Nov 17, 2012Whenever i plug in my ethernet cable my keyboard stops working (g19 logitech). I can see the lights on the keyboard and screen but it stops functioning and i have to unplug/replug usb for it to be back to normal.

Jan 14, 2013I am not really good with computers, I know something is wrong but not really sure how to fix it, I use Windows 7 Ultimate with a dedicated graphics card 2GB GDDR5 AMD Radeon HD 7970M and a intergrated graphics card Intel HD Graphics 4000 installed in my laptop, I used to be able to play Total War Shogun 2 (and other games) with my AMD Radeon Graphics Card, but for some reason my laptop decides to run on my Intel HD Graphics 4000 instead now. With my little knowledge that I have, when I go to device manager -> display adaptors, I can see both AMD Radeon 7970M and Intel HD Graphics 4000 there and my laptop shows that both graphics card are functioning properly (and up to date). But when I go to DxDiag, it only shows the Intel HD Graphics 4000, and when I disable my Intel HD Graphics 4000, my laptop cannot detect any graphics card.

Nov 28, 2012I have VLC Portable as the default program for opening some video files, like .mp4 and .avi. And I have Foobar (portable) as the default program for .mp3.Usually the icons on .mp4, .avi, .mp3 files get updated with the icons of the assigned media players.But on this PC it's not working. They're still the same icons as if WMP was the default player.Does it have to do with the Standard user account? (Because on other PCs I run from an Admin account and I don't have such problems.)

It always hogs up massive amount of CPU power and goes into (Not Responding) for a min while updating.I only add media files to the Windows Explorer Library so I can get indexed searches. I don't even use WMP to view files or anything. Just to burn some music CDs sometimes.I've tried deleting the files from the WMP library but the next time I open it up, it scans and updates all my files again! Is there a way to completely purge the WMP library and make it not update ever? I've unchecked every option that seems to make it scan and update but it still does it.Basically I want to UNLINK the Windows Explorer Library from the WMP Library.

Use 64bit Media Center With 32bit Media Player?
Jul 25, 2011I'm in grave problem here. I just installed windows 7 x64 a few days back. And initially I installed the 32bit version of k-lite codec pack for my windows media player. The media center worked fine then. It was loading my ffdshow and ac3filter along as I checked it.But then yesterday I noticed that the same pop-up od recommended/express install of WMP came again. Initially I thought that it must be some bug or something, but then when my MKV and AVI files didn't work in WMC, I realized that somehow WMP x64 got triggered, and now it is using the x64 bit of WMP in WMC. And I just wanna revert back to 32-bit WMP in WMC.

Jan 15, 2009I have checked two seperate DVD movies and they stop after the splash screens, FBI warning and Corporate logos, and never make it to the DVD menu.
This DVD player is an external player and I have no problem with playback on my Dual boot with Vista Home Premium.

Dec 20, 2009I can't get eithe WMP or MC to play a DVD. I've set the region code. WMP acts like it will play, but then just goes blank, and MC says it cannot play the DVD. These are original discs, not burned copies. I have a custom built system, with 2 graphics cards (GTX 260 and a GT 220) 6 GB of RAM, and an i7 processor. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Jul 18, 2011I am running Windows 7, and I connect several external HDDs via a USB hub, leading to the PC on a single USB cable. I have recently installed Windows, and from the start, I have had problems ejecting the media. Here is how it goes:I plug in the disks, they are all functioning, they show up and can be used.I want to eject them so I can disconnect the cable. I go to the system tray, and must click the "show hidden icons" arrow to see the icon for "Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media"; I click it and choose one of the disks to eject. Upon doing so, the disk ejects, and I remove it.At that point, the "Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media" icon moves to the main system ray area (not hidden)--but from this point on, it does not work. No matter how I click or right-click, there is no pop-up menu, no reaction at all. Right-clicking on each drive in the "Computer" window does not reveal any option to eject the disk safely.

Dec 22, 2011I am sure that there is an answer to this, but am lost... I have about 28,000 songs which are stored on my Windows 7 Enterprise Media Centre PC. All the ID3 tags are correct (I think), but I cant get the music library working properly on the PC or Extender.The problem I have is with my Various Artists albums... the ID3 tags show song title, artist and album artist. on a various artist album the Album Artist field is set to "Various Artists". I am using an Xbox360 media extended in my living room and whilst its slow, thats a seperate issue, there are some unexpected results when searching for songs...If you search for an artist, if they have produced albums where they are the only artist, then they are listed - the ID3 tags on their personal albums have the Album Artist field set as the Artist field and all works. However when listing by Artist, there is an artist listed called "Various Artists" and every song (12,000+) which is on a compilation album is listed as being by "Various Artists" as MC seems to get the artist name from the "Album Artist" field rather than from the "Artist" field.
I thought I'd found a workaround by changing the Album Artist field to be the same as the Artist - indeed this did work, but the unexpected side effect is that when you search by album, because each track on an album shows a different Album Artist set in the ID3 tag, it lists the album seperately for every song... so you may have "Now Thats What I Call Music xx" listed 20 times - once per song!Is there any way to get media centre to catalogue songs using the "Artist" field rather than the "Album Artist" field - but also to take into account that even though songs are by different artists, should the Album Artist all be the same - then to treat as a single album??I have only just started researching this and have read a bit about Media Centre using the catalogue created by WMP - but to be honest I have never used WMP and wouldnt know where to start.
Media Center Not Playing DVDs Properly - Sound Issue
Dec 24, 2009I have a problem with my Windows 7 Media Center. When I try playing a DVD on it (does for only some DVDs), it plays the background music and the video, just the voices are gone. I made sure it wasn't just the movie by enabling closed captioning and using a regular DVD player. On the regular DVD player, it ran with everything voices and all. Anyone know what could be wrong? I do have Home Premium so it shouldn't be the codecs I'd guess, but I'm new to this stuff.

Norton frequently gives me an error message saying that 'Windows Media Player Network Sharing Device has high CPU usage' or something to that effect. It is running as a process the entire time my computer is switched on, regardless of whether or not I am using this program.

According to my oppinion WMP11 was quite better in handling.
Now in WMP11 we have 2 main views, as the Library mode and as the player mode, and some skin modes.
Well in player mode everything was fine, I had some reactions for it but I finaly managed to settle down with it.
After some days of usage WMP became "Ghostly". It lost its background image, and it lost it blue faded corners.
Now my WMP looks like an unseccesefull plastic surgery.
Watch by yourselves.
I thought that it would dissapear, but later I found out that it is permanent.
Anyone faced this? Anyone knows how to face this?
There also was an option to RIP CD when I had no CD in my drive. But after some days it was gone.
I hope they make WMP better in handling.
Sound Is Low In Media Player
Aug 5, 2012For some reason (I think this happened with the installation of the latest version), all my movies play very low. I play them in VLC, and my ears are about to blow off lol. Any ideas before I roll back to the prior version to see.
