Magic Rotation (Samsung) Eternally Asks For Allowance
Nov 29, 2010
every time I have started Windows 7 I am forced to answer the question if I want to allow Magic Rotation to take influence on my computer. How can I stop this without deinstalling the software?
The Vista version of this program for fine-tuning your monitor doesn't seem to work under Windows 7, even in "Vista compatibilty mode". I wonder if anyone has found a work-round to get it up and running?
I got an Acer Extensa 5220 laptop with Windows 7 RC and integrated graphic card of Intel. The properties of this graphics don't have the screen rotation option and neither does Windows in the Screen Resolution menu.
I tried to reinstall the system (to RC again and to RTM), downloaded programs such as EEErotate, iRotate, PivotPro; used the Ctrl+Alt+(arrows) combination, upgraded the graphic card to the latest drivers and none of these options worked.
I was wondering if this could be enabled through the Windows Registry Editor.
Somehow I have enabled a "feature" that caused the screen to rotate 90 degrees. How do I get it back to normal? (key strokes?) Gateway laptop, brand new.
Is there any way I can stop my photo viewer automatically setting files to "hidden" when I rotate them?I can go through manually and do it but I have to do it with EVERY photo I upload and believe me there are a LOT of photos being uploaded to my computer every day. so this will be ludicrously time consuming.I have set every file I can find to "show hidden" but that isn't the point they shouldn't be hidden in the first place.
my win 7 photo viewer does the weirdest thing!! when i view my photos and rotate them and close the viewer, they disappear from my folder where they were originally stored in. i've checked my deleted items. no luck. searched whole pc for edited files and names of files that disappeared. no luck there either. i tested it on my hubby's pc. exact same result there.
I have a full Win 7 Pro 64 and 32 bit licence. I dowloaded the Iso files and burned it with Nero, the 32 bit installs ok but I did not register it. I tried the 64 bit, it installs, i get a window where it tells the Country, language and so on, I then click ok and then I get a window which states INSTALL WINDOWS, I press ok and then I get another window which states Select the drivers to be installed.
Now which drivers is it asking for. I can't go beyond here. Is there something that I can do or what.
just bought myself a new HTC Magic today, its a brilliant phone, but i'm kinda having problems getting it connected to my laptop running Windows 7 RC.
with Bluetooth, it can detect my laptop, it can pair itself up initially. but after that, it just says 'paired but not connected' on the Magic while it shows as 'currently connected' and 'authenticated' in the Properties of my Magic in Windows 7.
cannot get it to connect at all.
also, the USB syncing doesnt seem to work either, there are problems installing e drivers in e first place, and neither the phone nor the laptop detects the other if im trying to sync via USB.
would appreciate any help if anyone has faced e same problems with HTC Magic or Dream as yet?
Ok, So I got Magic ISO and Magic Disk, (and i got them from a link that someone on this site posted, and seemed to be able to use just fine) and I even ran it as an administrator. I was able to install magic disk but now I can not open it. It just starts running in the background, but doesn't actually show me anything. What am I doing wrong? This is where I got it. I go the 1 for Windows 7. Mount ISO Files - Freeware MagicDisc Download
I was wanting to save a back up of my complete drive on my other pc using my network, thing is all starts ok, then asks me for a password!!! i haven't set up a password on either pc, there both running windows 7, and I have turned ask for password off on each pc, any ideas on this?
Windows 7 Professional is asking for a password. It's a new laptop. After transfering all my personal files from my old machine, I turned it off. When tried to start it again, it asked me for the password. I didn't set a password because this laptop is at home and for my personal use only. The files that I transferred where in word and excel.
when i leave my pc on for a while and do nothing it shows a login password screen I don't know why my screen saver is off the box that enables the login pass screen is unchecked and it still shows the login screen without rebooting the pc what should I do to fix it?
on the power options advanced settings sleep after setting: never, allow hybrid sleep setting: on, hivernate after setting: never, allow wake timers setting: enable
a couple of days ago I've started to encounter this problem. My computer will ask me to select an operating system every time I successfully boot - even though I have only one. I have been into the system config and unchecked this option, however the problem still applies. What's more, I occasionally will get a Drive Reading error, forcing me to rebootIn terms of recent hardware changes, all I have done is revert back to an older graphics card due to having an insufficient PSU. I also started using my old Logitech G11 keyboard, but I doubt this will make a difference
I have recently built a computer. Everything went well, and I have Windows 7 installed .I have an SSD and an HDD. When I put in the Windows installation disk, it asked me to choose which to install Windows on. Both drives showed here. I loaded Windows onto the SSD (which is insane), but when I go to 'computer', the 2TB disk doesn't show up.
i bought a new computer 1 week ago windows 7 home prium model#h8-1124- i installed the magic jack that i had for 2 years and it worked for 2 days. now i cannot make or recieve calls and the computer won't let me access the majic jack website to truoble shoot problem.
I'm having this problem when I try to install Heroes of Might and Magic 2 or 3 on my Windows 7 computer.
So my prob is that when I press Autorun it pops up that window with Instal, Play and so on clickers, and None of the buttons work. The window disappears after I press any of them.
Somehow I was about to install Heroes 1.
As far as specs I have a Lenovo Thinkpad. Windows 7 64 bit processor. 4 GB of Ram. Hopefully that's enough info for you to give me a clear answer. I really want to play this cool game again.
PS Does anyone know how to play any of the Heroes (1,2, & 3) online??? I would like to play against my brother who is out of state.
From looking at other computers and on the Internet, it appears that the Contacts folder is supposed to have a customized menu bar with a "New Contact" button, but on this machine the menu looks the same as every other folder. I don't use this folder/app very often, so I can't say exactly when this changed, but the desktop.ini file in this folder has a relatively recent modification date, and contains the following:
I can still add new contacts by selecting "Contact" from the "New" submenu, but it'd be easier if I had the button in the menu bar. How can I get it back?
I have a magic mouse that I used to use with my laptop, I reinstalled windows (it was getting slow), and now when I try to pair my mouse I get an "Authentication Error".
I can't enable wake on lan on my computer. First I tried with an on board LAN cart then I added external cart - Intel(R) PRO/1000 GT.In the device manager I checked "Allow this device to wake up the computer" and "Only allow a magic packed to wake up the computer" for the network adapter. In BIOS I enabled the PME Event Wake up property. On my machine I installed a Magic Packect sender/receiver to check whather the packets can reach the computer and I see that the packets are received when I send them from my phone. But when the computer is turned off I can't wake it this way. Also there's light from my LAN cart, so I assume that is has power from the mainboard when the computer is turned off. My mainboard is Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3 and the operating system is Windows 7 32bit.
I need to uninstall Iolo's Macro Magic version 4 but it does not appear in Control Panel>Programs and Features and does have its own uninstaller that I can fine. Iolo ceased support of Macro Magic but one of the tutorials says to use the standard way to remove via Programs and Features. As I said, it does not appear there.
I have just recieved an Acer laptop with Windows 7 installed. The owner says it is his old laptop. He now wants to use it but has forgotten his password. He doesn't care if I erase it and reinstall or put in Windows XP. However I have put Windows 7 O/S disks in the cd and Windows Xp but it just goes to windows start and asks for the password, which I don't have
I have two Win 7 64bit computers, one Home Premium the other Professional, and seemingly at random when trying to access one or the other over the network it will ask for a username/password. Sometimes it won't ask for one at all, and I'll be able to see shares without problem, but I can't replicate when this does/doesn't happen. I've read as many threads as I can find on this and other forums, but still no luck.I have no 3rd party firewall and I've disabled Windows Firewall on both computers.I've disabled anti virus software (MSE only) on both computers. In advanced sharing, I've turned password protected sharing off (as well as tried almost every other combination of settings on this page)I've verified that both computers are in the same workgroup, and I am NOT using homegroup sharing.I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling drivers for each network adapter.I've tried disabling IPv6 I've tried looking through the event viewer for any errors.I've tried 3 different routers?
i have windows 7 ultimate, although i have the connect automatically checked evry time i reboot i have to put the network key in. dongle is a billion and router bthomehub2, any help appreciated drives me mad trying to remember network key all the time.
my HP ProBook windows 7 64bit Ultimate can't recognize any device with bluetooth. i traing everiting but nothing helps me i wanna connect my new magic mouse but can't.
I think the problem comes from the last installation of partition magic 3 program in the windows 7. Now, when i start windows it goes to repairing starter and detect a problem with \?GLOBALROOTDEVICEHarddisk0Partition3Windows in Windows Directory. And the name of Problem is "StartupRepairOffice"
