Well I have a iPod so I have iTunes but heres my problem when i click the X to close the program it freezes on me and the only way to get it to close is to go to Task Manager then process's and find itune.exe, i have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it and nothing has helped and i'm not finding anything on google that fixes my problems either.

After I removed an iPod from my laptop I never had installed before I got the BSOD after I restarted the computer. The message stated "Windows failed to start a recent hardware or software change may be the cause". I have tried startup repair from the OEM disc and have had no luck after 5 or more tries. I can boot into safe mode fine and connect to the internet. It will not start normally. The two options you get are start normally or launch startup repair and both of these fail when attempting. It always shows the error code 0x0000007e but some of the code in the parathensis change each time I boot the computer.
I have Windows 7 Ultimate on my laptop and constantly am running into the issue with iTunes always freezing up either when I open the program or while it's minimized, scrolling through my library, or in the iTunes Store. I have uninstalled it and all of its components one by one, re-installed and it will only work for so long before it acts up again.
let me get you caught up to speed. I have a reasonably-sized digital movie, music, and tv show collection I corral with iTunes. To date I have 145 TV shows covering almost 90GB (mixed SD and HD), 1000 songs covering 8.2GB (From 256kbps AAC to 320kbps MP3 to Apple Loss-less), and 29 movies covering about 50GB (all SD), totaling around 150GB, give or take, I didn't have a machine capable of managing my HD content effectively. I was limited on HDD space as well as processing power. I am the type of person that wants to have ALL of my audio-visual media (minus pictures) in one place. In my case, iTunes. I've decided it's time to re-encode the containers for all of my HD movies to an MPEG4-type container to allow iTunes to even acknowledge it's presence. Since the release of Handbrake 0.9.5, I've been able to encode right of the disk to a file, even mix down audio tracks to AC3, etc. etc. My point here is I have one movie, Hancock, 1080P, around 4GB with audio, encoded H.264/MPEG4 @ ~4500kbps, imports into iTunes just fine. BUT, when playing, it either plays slow (say, 80% of real time) or freezes altogether around 10 seconds in. iTunes freezes when I try to give it a file over 4GB... sort of... It acts as though it's frozen... It even freezes the window I dragged the file out of (drag and dropping into iTunes) so I can't even see my desktop. Windows isn't frozen. I can still move on with life and do other things just fine. iTunes is supposedly chugging away using one of my cores according to my task manager.
sometimes when i try close the PC my screen gets error and it doesn't shut down, and when i start or close some games it gets me the BSOD error saying that there is a problem with cdd.dll Adress 972CB768 base at 872C0000 date stamp 4a5bd922
looking for alternative for itunes for a while.I have an ipod touch 8gb.Now been looking at this piece of software and wondering will it recognise my ipod touch or will I have to stick to itunes,I have music photos & video clips on it now. This is what I've been looking at but will it recognise the ipotouch?? Link..... Free iTunes alternative - Manage iPod iPhone without iTunes
I'm trying to downgrade from iTunes 10.5 to a version that doesn't crash (see my previous thread). However, whenever I do this, I cannot import my Library file (.itl) because it was created by a newer version of iTunes.
I use iTunes on my Windows 7 computer to sync with my iPhone, and the last time I went to open iTunes it gave me the error message "iTunes cannot run because some of its required files are missing. Please reinstall iTunes."I had heard that if I uninstalled Quicktime (which is bundled with iTunes when that is downloaded), then reinstalled it separately, it would work again, but after trying that it didn't. So I decided to just uninstall iTunes, then reinstall it. However, every time I try to uninstall it in Add/Remove Programs, it just sits there saying it'll be about eight more seconds to go to finish deleting, but it just sits, and sits, and sits...... Nothing. I also tried to just install the newest iTunes on top of the existing one, but every time I try it tells me that it's already installed and to click "Ok." So I can't uninstall it, nor can I install it, nor will iTunes open on its own. I had done a system restore recently, so I don't know if that had anything to do with it.
My desktop PC running Windows 7 64 bit behaves erratically when I close it down using the Start Orb - shut down button. Sometimes it closes down fully on other occasions the computer goes into a deep sleep, (the hard drive light continues to flash, the fans are running, the monitor screen goes off) but it will not respond to either the keyboard or the mouse, both of which are connected by USB cables.I then have to close down the computer by holding in the power button for about 10 seconds. When I next require the computer it boots normally and seems oblivious to its shut-down problem.I always ensure that no programs are running when I shut down the computer and cannot see any clues regarding what I was last doing before shut-down that might trigger a problem. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the USB device drivers to no avail.
I’m using windows worms dors cleaner tool to close ports , these ports ( 137 , 138 , 139 , 135 and 5000 ) , successfully closed but i can’t close port 445 , so please tell me how to close port 445 .
I just got a new HP laptop running Intel Core i7 and Windows 7 Home Premium. I'm also using IE 9. A lot of times when I have a tab open in IE9, and open a new tab, either by clicking on the new tab, or a link inside the current page opens the new tab when I click it - when I'm done with what I needed and go to close the new tab, I get an error message 'Internet Explorer Has Stopped Working' IE freezes until I close the error window. It doesn't happen every time a new tab is opened - I just can't narrow it down to what is actually causing it.
laptop is running win7 x 64 bit, i have one program that opens ok but closes after about 12 second, i have this same program in my XP home laptop and it runs perfectly.his is not a virus problem , i have tried ( one at a time ) a paid for version of vipre, a free version of malwarebytes and a free version of zone alarm, all with the same result.i have opened the program when i have not been connected to the internet
I recently installed the new service pack for windows 7 and since then seem when I try to close down a program such as Word, Excel, my browser or Outlook they take ages to shut down. Computer seems to lock freeze quite often as well and take several seconds to start running again.

when running several programs on my Dell Inspiron laptop (Windows 7).
1)Outlook keeps stopping, Windows says it's checking for problems and can't find any. 2)Can't open the volume control and I have no sound lthough when I hover over the small icon on the lower right of the computer it says its at 52% 3)Can't open Windows Movie Maker from the start menu or from locating the .exe file within the C: drive.
probably others I haven't encountered today.Running Windows 7 (64 bit) on a Dell Inspiron 1545, have had it over a year. Using Avira AntiVir personal, perform full scans each night. Problem began last night (5/4/11). I received a backup file for Quickbooks Pro 2011 via e-mail and tried to restore it to Quickbooks (something I do weekly). QB program would begin opening, but couldn't. After working with a great tech from Intuit we discovered the folder holding the QB data files was the problem (corrupted?) and worked around the problem by creating a folder on the desktop to use for data and backups.Steps I've taken so far:
1) Updated MalWarebytes AntiMalware and ran a full scan. No malicious software found. 2) Ran the defrag program. C: had 3% (if I remember right) fragmented, and it ran 5 passes to fix that. 3) Updated CCleaner and ran the cleaner to delete unneeded files. 5) Avira had run last night and found nothing, so I didn't run it again. 6) In looking at Task Manager there's a file that seems out of place: qbw32.exe *32 Quickbooks isn't open and the usual QB program file is just qbw32.exe without the *32, so maybe that's a clue. 7) Another possible clue: our other computer has slowed to a crawl..currently on its 16th hour running a malwarebytes scan. Both access the same verizon e-mail so maybe something came through e-mail to plague us.
OKay, so this week oblivion was on sale for 5 bucks on steam and im like sure, why not, because my xbox game broke forever ago. I purchase it and install it and when i try and start it up and press play in the launcher, it says, "Oblivion has stopped working". I can't get it to work. What I don't get is that I can run Skyrim on maximum graphic settings.
i usually started to got alot of BSOD after closing games like PES 2012 or S4 League and this is becoming annoying . I used WhoCrashed v3.06 (HOME EDITION ) to analyze my BSOD and this is what i got after my last BSOD error when i closed a game: [code] I can't understand what those two BSOD means , but i think they are the problem . I will attach the dump file i got and the files that i got from the SF Diagnostic Tool.
I have a question that I have been unable to solve but first I will start off by saying I am running boot camp on a mac, just so there is no confusion. I am an architecture student and am using a program called Revit to render 3D models regularly. Due to the long render times find myself stuck waiting many hrs up to many days with my computer tied up rendering. Recently, after a lapse in smart thinking, my battery went dead and I thought I had lost 4 hrs of rendering time. I then disappointingly restarted my computer to restart the render but found that Windows had saved, as a last effort to maintain my program files and unsaved data, the progress of the render and it continued upon reboot.
With vista and previous OS's it was easy to just right-click a program on the taskbar and hit the letter "c" to close it. you could very rapidly close a series of windows from the taskbar.
now in Windows 7 x64 when i right click a program in the taskbar and hit 'c' it simply highlights the "close window" option... requiring me to either have to hit enter or click on the selected option "close window"
is it possible to have things work like they used to ?? such that a right-click and then the letter 'c' would close the window without any additional input ?
I am using a browser, and for example looking at the forum here. When I close the browser without logging out from the forum and then restart the browser I am still logged in.
This never happens with Vista, I always have to login again
Does seven not close the programs properly to speed up the re-opening??
Does this not infringe on some aspect off security? Not for me I am the only user
i start a new thread in oder to know if any one have the same issue with ACDsee Pro,The thing that ACDsee pro in my computer close very slowly , i have to wait for about 10sec to have it closed completely.i explique the situation, double click on one photo, it starts automatically ACDsee view in full screen (good thing) press Esc to close the full screen view: have to wait 10sec .(bad thing - issue) - in Vista or XP, it was below 1 second.Others soft go normally with Windows 7 Condition, windows 7 updated full,My Pc is protected by Kaspersky 2010 Kiss with all update full.
I have had 4 BSOD events since December, which appear to occur when I close the laptop lid (where it would normally sleep it eventually goes off - I don't know this has happened until I return to it later!)I was struggling to get my computer details on my profile, so here is a rundown..Dell Vostro 3700 laptop, windows 7 professional, Intel Core i3 CPU M 370 @ 2.40GHz, 3GB RAM. I run avg anti-virus free edition.I have also noticed that windows media player is crashing a lot.
I have 4 PCs running W7 Home Premium 32 bit all with the same annoying problem. Very often when I close Windows Live Mail 2011, Microsoft Security Essentials or Word Pad the corresponding process is killed but the window will not disappear before I click the Desktop Ikon. It only happens with those 3 programs. The 4 PCs are 1 Sony Vaio Laptop, 1 ThinkPad T60 and 2 ASUS Desktop PCs. It have been the same alle the time (for more than 1 year). Everything is 100% updated. W7s are OEM Versions. The Log do not show any problems referring to this issue.
Im getting PFN_LIST_CORRUPT and MEMORY_MANAGMENT BSOD's very regularly when closing out league of legends games. The BSOD's only happen at the end of a LoL game when you press either victory or defeat, then there is a black screen for a few seconds while the game closes and either BSOD's or goes back to the score screen. I have 3 DMP files to be analyzed. WhoCrashed says that the latest crash was caused by driver "shareduserdata.sys" , i couldn't find this driver on my computer.
Recently when I have closed over the screen on my laptop (HP Pavillion g6) when I have lifted the screen up again i've had blue screen pop up, I didn't manage to get all of what it said down in time but it was something like, STOP:0x0000016 The 'windows has recovered from unexpected shutdown' pop box gave me these details:
Problem signature: Problem Event Name:BlueScreen OS Version:6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3 Locale ID:2057
