Installing WAN Miniport IKEv2 For Windows 7?
Jun 9, 2011I cannot access the Internet from my desktop.I get message that Wan Miniport (IKEv2) cannot upload 31. I guess I need to download updated driver but how can I do it if I cannot access the Internet from this machine. I have a laptop. My laptop runs on Vista and my desktop on Window 7 64 bit.

Oct 4, 2012Seem to be going around in circles ... just want to install Wan Miniport (IKEv2) driver. The driver won't install. I have a new internal adapter ... I haven't intalled yet. That's the issue ... Isn't it? The driver needs the adapter to recongize. Did I fix it myself? Install the adapter then the drivers

Jan 30, 2009i have just installed the beta version of 7 and yes it looks awsome(well done microsoft ) but the problem i am having is i cannot get on the net my mini port drivers will not install have tryed the ones on the disk supplyed and the latest ones of the site but still no joy any advice plz doi need special ones?? Everything else on pc is fine grapix card sound card ect.

Oct 17, 2011My HP 110-3030NR Netbook is completely wiped clean at the moment. I have a bootable USB with a copy of Windows 7 Starter. I insert the USB, boot the netbook and go through the motions of selecting language and accepting terms and conditions. I get to the infamous "Where do you want to install Windows?" screen.
If I try to install on partition #2 it says...

So... I gotta admit I sort of became a traitor and tried installing Linux 10 Mint because I had been told Linux will handle all partition problems itself. Well, that didn't work, it seems to be the same type of problem with a different error name, with Linux it said, "The ext4 file system creation in partition #1 of SCSI2 (0,0,0) (sdb) failed". So I gave up on that and am now BACK to trying to install Windows 7 Starter. The only difference is that NOW when I get to "Where do you want to install Windows?" there aren't ANY partitions and at the bottom it says, "No drives were found. Click Load Driver to provide a mass storage driver for installation". I have been to the HP website and cannot find any Mass Storage Drivers, all I found were upgrades and patches. I loaded a few promising ones on a USB and tried to load them but the computer wouldn't even recognize them.

I disabled it a long time ago but it always comes up as an error when I scan my computer. Jan 5, 2013I've got a netbook here. By default, it boots into something called HP QuickWeb. It looks like just a small OS designed to get you online quick. The wireless within that OS will not connect unless you restore the laptop to factory defaults. Even then, if the laptop's battery drains all the way, or is taken out, the next time you log in, you will be unable to connect once again until another restore. From QuickWeb, you can choose to boot into Windows 7. I figure that's the best way to take care of the wireless problem since there are very little configuration options from within the QuickWeb OS. Anyway, when I try to boot into Windows 7, I get a loading bar, then the screen goes black with a cursor visible. I can move the cursor, but the screen remains black no matter what. I tried some different button combinations (ctrl+alt+del, Windows+D) to no avail. I get the same thing when trying to boot into safe mode. It goes through the list of sys files it's loading, then goes to the black screen. I'm not sure how to get into the BIOS. It loads into the QuickWeb pretty quickly. I tried the usual (del, f2, f1) and those didn't work.

Jul 11, 2012My daughter had received a Dell Inspiron mini with Windows 7 starter preloaded. At some point it started crashing when attempting to connnect to our network (in home) to get on internet. I also noticed it would not run windows updates. After some research discovered possible virus. I did run several spyware, malware programs and was able to remove fake trojans. Everything seemed to be going well until I rebooted. The system now boots to system recovery options. Knowing there is nothing really on the computer to loose, I have tried ever option. When it runs startup repair, it is unable to repair the problem. I have tryed system restore, I picked a point previous to problems start, it said it restored it but it still boots back to system recovery options. I tried the image recover and factory image recovery. If i go to command prompt I even started the setup.exe and was going to reinstall but it says it needs some drivers and for me to insert dvd/cd. I dont have one since it came preinstalled, or at least I have never seen one with this machine. I can view in dos prompt everything on the machine. Every time I reboot it goes back in to repair cycle with no repair.
