Installing Power Director 9 - Error 1625 On Windows 7

Sep 25, 2011

I have bought a copy of Power Director 9 and when I try to install - it comes up saying to contact the system administrator - the error code is 1625. I tried cleaning the registry by buying Advanced System Optimizer. I feel the only option left is to wipe the computer entirely by doing a clean re-install of Windows 7. However, there are two versions that you can by, a full or an upgrade version? (I do not have any discs as this was already installed on machine). Which one should I need - or can this 1625 error be Fixed?

Laptop Does Not Power Off After Installing SSD?

Jan 22, 2012

My laptop was working fine until recently when I installed a new SSD (I used an optical bay caddy). The SSD works fine, and actually everything is fine except for the fact that after I shut down the computer it does not power off automatically (I have to hold down the power button for a few seconds). However, when I start it again,Windows does not complain about not being shut down properly, so I guess that it manages to do so, it's just that the power is not cut off. I should also say that neither restart, hibernate or sleep work. The result is the same, with the mention that for hibernate and sleep Windows does complain when rebooted (which is natural for sleep but I don't understand why it happens for hibernate).

The problem starts during the Windows installation, when it gets stuck on reboot. However, I can power it off manually and start it again and it all goeswell. should also say that:- I use Windows 7 64bit with SP1- the laptop is an ASUS K53SC- the SSD is a Corsair Force 3 60GBThe things I have tried so far are- I tried a different version of Windows 7 (on 32-bit)- I tried updating the BIOS (turns out I had the latest version)- I tried disabling the SSD or uninstalling its driver from device manager- I tried disabling all devices that could be disabled from device manager- I tried closing all services before shut down (from task manager)- I tried selective boot (from msconfig) with all services disabled

Windows Kernel-Power Error On New PC?

Jan 14, 2012

I just built a new computer about 2 weeks ago, and everything seemed fine until recently. I started getting "Kernel-Power" errors, usually when I play Star Wars, the old republic, there is no BSoD instead what happens is that I am doing everything normally, and suddenly i get this streak of multicolored pixels across a black screen and the pc restarts.

My Computer specs are:
500w Corsair PSU.
Sapphire Radeon 6850
i5-2500k
OCZ 60gb SSD
16gb ripjaws DDR3
Asus P8Z68-V LE mobo.

I have the latest bios on my motherboard, Microsoft Security essentials returns clean, no minidump is created even though I have it on.

Also I'm running Prime95 on my pc right now and have been for the past hour, but I can't recreate the error that way.

Windows 7 Constantly Freezing / Kernal Power Error 41?

Have had a home built PC now for a bout a year, i have my OS running from dual SSDs in a RAID configuration (for fast access of databases), recently i noticed my machine began crashing a few times more than i had been used to, but recently it has really started to increase in frequency. When i turn the power off to my machine and reboot, what often happens is the system freezes again just before i reach the password login screen (freezes at the screen with the windows logo). I have checked the event viewer, heres what i found after the last crash today.

Kernel Power Error ID - 41

May 26, 2012

I have been facing a wierd problem recently. My desktop monitor turns off itself after a few minutes but the CPU works, I can hear the fan running and see the lights blinking. One thing I noticed is that when the monitor turns off, the Orange light on the CPU stays on which normally just blinks. My PC works normally on safe mode, but the worst part about safe mode is that I cannot work on my software CorelDRAW. Can this be the SMPS problem? because recently my mouse and keyboard inputs were not working because of which I got a USB keyboard and mouse. I have recently installed Windows 7 64bit, but I think that should not cause the problem as I have worked with 64bit Windows before on the same machine.

PC configuration -

Intel Core 2 Duo 4500 @ 2.20Ghz Processor
ASUS P5QPL-AM Motherboard
3GB RAM
No Graphic Card (Maybe inbuilt, not sure)
1TB Hardisk

I checked the Event Viewer and came through a critical error, here is the error log

Log Name: System
Source: Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-Power
Date: 01-Aug-12 5:41:39 PM
Event ID: 41
Task Category: (63)
Level: Critical

[code]....

And I also checked the power settings before and the monitor is set to TURN OFF in 15 minutes when kept IDLE.

I discovered audio stopped working because the Windows Audio Service, which relied on the Windows Audio Endpoint Builder service, which relied on the Power service, all stopped working. So to solve my audio problems, I must first start the Power service. However when I try to start it, it gives the following message:Windows could not start the Power service on Local Computer.Error 127: The specified procedure could not be found.

Freezes - Error With Power Supply

Nov 5, 2009

Through a clean install I switched to Windows 7 last week. Today being the 6th day since I switched, the computer has frozen 4 times. Of the 4 times, one was just a sudden power down without a proper shutdown.

Through event viewer, the log suggested an error dealing with power supply.

Since I've noticed that multiple PCs on different processors are seeing the same error, I would like to know if there have been any fixes released for this yet.

Anybody solve this yet?

I just got a new computer about a week ago and Ive notice that its been having this weird problem. Its happened about once or twice a day, the last couple of days.I will be surfing the web or listening to music on itunes and the system will freeze completly to the point where I have to hold the power button down to turn off the machine. On startup I get the screen where it says "windows did not shut down properly.." When I log back in and open the event viewer it shows the same error everytime. "Kernel-Power. Event ID 41. ERROR Event 35 - Kernel-Processor Power

Aug 12, 2009

Ok, my system is slowing down when I do large file transfers (transfer goes from 60M/s to 2M/s after zero io for about 10 min).

Anyway, I am now combing through the Event Viewer + resource monitor and I came across "event 35" with the source kernel-processor-power the text associated says "Performance power management features on process or 1 in group 0 are disabled due to a firmware problem. Check with the computer mfgr for updated firmware" - anyway I have a bunch of these errors.

Googled for 'event 35' and found nothing - anyone have more detail on this event and how to solve it?

Driver State Power Error On Install

Apr 14, 2009

Could anybody help me out with this or point me in the right direction?

Whenever I try and install Windows 7 build 7068 or 7077 the installation process freezes and after a while i get a "DRIVER_STATE_POWER_ERROR", If I then restart the machine the installation process starts up again but just hangs.

I have tried this with both a clean install and an upgrade and I get the same thing.

However, build 7000 and build 7057 install fine.

I am using a gigabyte GA-E7AUM-DS2H motherboard with the Nvidia 9400 chipset with a mirrored RAID configuration on two of the hard disks. The windows partition is on a non raided disk. The video is outputted via HDMI and the audio via optical to my AV reciever (Harman Kardon AVR-255)

also another thing, build 7057 seems to work fine as I am using it only as media center. HD video, dixv, mp3, recorded and live TV are all fine in media center and the configuration to pass DOLBY, DTS and AC3 5.1 surround sound to my AV reciever works perfectly. However, whenever I try to play a DVD, the screen stutters and flickers every few seconds as though the signal is lost. If i plug the HDMI cable directly in to my samsung plasma, the problem goes away!

If this was happening with all video I could put it down to the nvidia drivers not sending a correctly formatted signal, but it is only with DVD playback. I have tried the drivers which were installed automatically with win7 and the nvidia windows 7 beta drivers and I still get the same problem.

Error While Installing Windows 7?

Nov 14, 2011

i've recently decided to reinstall win7 64bit because my computer started freezing up occasionally while browsing, playing games or even watching Internet videos... the freezes would pass after a few minutes and the computer would recover and start up/shut down would take a long time as wellso i thought that reinstalling windows might help as i havent done it in a long while. but i ecountered a problem while installing win7 64biti receive these errors (0x8007045d and later after trying a few things it changed to 0x80070002 both times it stated something about files missing or being corrupt) while on the "extracting windows files" section of the setup.

i've done a clean install every single time and formated my hdd (seagate barracuda 7200.10 320gb) but got an error every single time but at various %'s (once it went up to 70% other times it would get stuck as soon as 5%). i'm really out of ideas now, i've tried switching ram's, switching dvd drives, disconnecting my gpu but nothing seems to... has my hdd died? or prehaps my mobo or cpu is acting upoh, and i burned my win7 iso's myself via imgburn - i've used the slowest possible burn speed (x2) and did it multiple times but every single dvd gave same error.

Getting Error While Installing Windows 7

Feb 15, 2012

I am upgrading to Windows 7 on my laptop. When I inserted the disk it went through some of the installation then when it got to the Expanding Windows Files I got an error message. I looked it up and everything I read pointed to my dvd drive. I was told to bypass it you either by an external drive or use a usb thumdrive. I had an 8GB one laying around, followed all the steps on http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us [...] -usb-stick, it installed fairly fast, now I'm stuck on the Completing Installation part for about 30-45 minutes now, is this normal? From what I've read it works for alot of people if they remove all their USB devices however thats what I have Win 7 on. Would I still need it in my usb port? Or could I take it out since its on the completing installation step and everything is already copied over? I can post my comp specs here if that would help anyone. It's possible I'm just anxious and it could normally take this amount of time on a Laptop. It's somewhat new Dell Studio XPS with what i would say above average specs.
