View 1 RepliesFor the past few weeks, I'm getting all these error codes and have NO clue why? They are to sites I use every day. One moment I can access the sights and next moment I get the error codes.I've run the Windows Repair Disk, CClean, Malwarebytes and Spybot and nothing I've done has helped. Any ideas will be appreciated because I've gotten a rotten headache again today trying to figure this out.If I recall, I think it all started when the Babylon Toolbar forced it's way onto my computer. I have no idea how I got it but I believe it's been deleted....and not even sure if that is the start of the problems/ I just remember having to delete it and then got these others problems afterwards. Whether there is a connection or not, I don't know.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI can't get rid of security certificate error. It happened because i accidentally set wrong date in BIOS (i wasn't using it about 3 month and CMOS batter was dead therefore it asked me to enter the date). After using it couple hours i saw that error and googled it. I found that the date is wrong and fixed it but nothing changed. I still get that error almost on any web page i enter (on all browsers:Firefox, Opera, IE9). click Continue to this website (not recommended) on IE or add exception on Firefox. And also can it be a firewall or antivirus issue? I've Nod32 ESS x64 installed.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a PC with windows vista installed. I recently bought windows 7 home premium and installed a fresh copy of it. Every time I download some software like Chrome, VLC, iTunes , it downloads fine, but when it has to install it gives strange errors. I have seen all kinds of errors.
E.g.: VLC gives NSIS error.
Microsoft Security Essentials gives "File Corrupt Error".
Got certificate invalid error for some other software. if I download zip files, they fail with CRC check.
Just to be sure it wasn't hardware issue, I installed vista as a second OS and that works fine. I am really uncertain what is causing the issue (seems network related though). I had an old router and just purchased a new linksys router. Other configurations are: Core 2 Quad, EVGA SLI ready motherboard, 4GB DDR2 ram, ASUS EN210 gphx card.
I've scoured the web for this but can't find a solution. Every time I go to a https site in Windows 7/IE8, I get the "Certificate Error: Navigation Blocked" "There is a problem with this website's security certificate". This happens to both internal sites at my company and external sites [URL]I can click the "Continue to this website" and everything is fine, but I want to make this 'error' go away completely -- for every https site.

I have been having some hard drive issues with my Acer and I'm not sure if they are serious or not. I am not computer savvy and am planning to take the bar exam to get licensed as an attorney in a few weeks and really need my computer for the exam. I am hoping someone can advise me as to whether my problem is serious enough that I need to get another computer to use for the bar exam.

I had League of Legends up in the background, and I was surfing on Firefox when my mouse cursor...changed. It looks glitchy, becoming white/multicolored lines and looking fuzzy. I know that isn't right, so I immediately restarted my computer. After a few minutes it BSOD'ed, and now I am officially worried.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I'm using Firefox, my Foxit Reader has been randomly popping the sign 'can't read the PDF file' when I haven't been trying to read any PDF files, especially when I'm clicking the "Apply" button in [URL] and when I'm on [URL]. Because of this problem I tend to avoid FF and use IE, but IE has another problem: it doesn't change the home default website as I tell it to.
View 3 Replies View Related2 days ago I uninstalled Microsoft Security Essentials from my pc. Yesterday I update my Firefox from v. 14.0.1 to v.15.0, since then firefox won't run on this pc. I tried downgrading it to version 14 but it wont work. Here's the error msg: Code: Description: A problem caused this program to stop interacting with Windows.
Problem signature:
Problem Event Name:AppHangB1
Application Name:firefox.exe
Application Version:15.0.0.4619
[code]...
Yesterday while using Firefox I noticed it kept crashing, with the cause being a "BEX Event". I try opening it to no avail, everytime terminating immediately after I clicked on it. I tried Chrome and Explorer, but both of them suffered the same problem, immediately crashing due to the BEX error. I restarted my system multiple times to see if it subsides, but it reappeared promptly everytime for ALL three browsers (!) I tried Safe Mode with networking to see if its gone. Nope, same problem, with Explorer and Firefox collapsing instantly, while Chrome seem to take around 10-12 seconds of surfing before flatlining due to the same cause.
I then decided to use System Restore and managed to take my whole system back to 5 days ago when none of the problems were happening. Tried again, but nope, same issue with a BEX event. This time it seems Explorer would display it as BEX64 instead of just BEX. I tried resetting entire settings for Explorer, but the BEX error would always prevent me from doing so by shutting down the whole things before its done. I thought, maybe, just maybe, it has something to do with a faulty DEP on Explorer, and added it the list of exceptions for DEP. Still didn't work, and the system wouldn't let me add Chrome and Firefox to the list either. I tried to see if maybe I can download some new antivirus or antispyware programs off the net, except that none of my browsers work, so I have no access to the Internet in both normal and Safe modes.... Sufficient to say I am typing here from a library's computer.
My laptop was left on yesterday with numerous firefox tabs open (x20) for various websites, although no one was using the computer and this is a regular occurrence without fault until yesterday. I'd gone out fishing and noticed the BSOD and took this photo of the screen showing the full error as "stop 0x0000007A (0xc0487688, 0x3e5898c0, 0x96ed7e3e)"
I had altered the BSOD settings in the past to stop the laptop from restarting in order to have time to take note of the error codes in case of future failures, although I hadn't had any BSOD for over a year. The previous BSOD's were 0x000000d1 (netwLv32.sys) and 0x0000007e (Volsnap.sys), unlike those BSOD's, the one shown in the photo doesn't have a description other than the error code.
I had turned off the laptop while in BSOD, having completed dumping physical memory; subquent restarts were only reaching here followed promptly by a black screen with the flashing white underscore, which I could escape by alt+Ctrl+delete. At one point the laptop did load and somehow I was able to access System recovery options and selected startup repair, which I viewed the log prior to restarting and everything completed successfully and although I did restart the computer, I haven't been able to proceed further than the initial loading window or the defaulting black screen that follows.
I've tried running the BIOS setup utility, with the hard disk self test diagnostics, though this failed each time.
Not able to provide any debug logs until I can proceed further. Have the windows 7 back up DVD disc, but not sure if my DVD drive is playing up, as when I push ESC and enter into the boot menu selecting the Atapi cd/DVD rom drive, it only goes to the prior mentioned black screen and remains there long after 5 mins. The disc drive is heard to be working if the disc is within, though nothing results on the screen. I had recalled some difficulty prior to this BSOD with the CD/DVD rom, having decided it was either only a driver or possibly registry error or required itunes reinstall, as afterwards having successfully read a music cd with itunes.
I don't think I have the windows recovery discs or system restore discs, as I tried some I thought were these, but nothing occurred and I figure they must be from when I tested the windows 7 beta or W7RC or such. So only have the legit Windows 7 back up disc (32 & 64 bits), which I was running 32 bit. Only twice has it shown up "Press any key to boot from disc", although there was no response and it doesn't always reach this prompt.
I cannot start Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox because I get a(0xc0000005) error. It also prevents installation of Google Chrome.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm running Windows 7 64bit. I regularly access a work website that has a self-signed certificate. I got tired of the warning message that always pops up regarding the untrusted certificate, so I installed the certificate. When I used to run XP, that solved the issue. However, for Windows 7 64-bit, that did not fix the problem.
I've also tried installing the certificate into the "Trusted Root Certificate Authorities" store for both my user account and for the computer. That didn't fix it either. Finally, I tried changing the security zone for the site to be in the Trusted Sites list. That also didn't fix the problem.
I find it very irritating that a website that has a "trusted" certificate is giving me a warning message about an untrusted certificate. I wonder if this is related to the Windows 7 64bit driver signing nazi-ism (i.e., you can't load device drivers signed with non-Microsoft certificates, even if you install the certificate). Just for grins, I tried disabling driver signing enforcement, but that didn't change anything either.
Does anyone have any ideas?
