View 2 Replies View RelatedSystem is HP desktop running W7-64 bit. Printer is HP Photosmart 7350, old but working perfectly until 2 days ago. Driver is Deskjet 5550 (closest one for this printer).
I've reinstalled the driver, plugged and unplugged the printer, and tried to print from different programs. As soon as the print button is selected the error condition shows in the Devices & Printers section. This happens whether the printer is turned on or not.
What can I do to get the printer running again?
I have Epson LQ-1150 II Printer. My computer is named GIR and my printer is shared as EPSON.I used commandNET USE LPT1 \GIREPSON /PERSISTENT:YESI used my printer with this command for 1 month then my my machine got infected with VIRUS and I had to format it.Now I am unable to create a batch file and also when I enter this command the computer asks user name for "GIR". When provided with any user name whether existing user id or fake id the computer askes for password. I do not have any password on my PC.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using a new Dell computer with Windows 7. I am trying to print PDF files with a Xerox 7750 printer. I have downloaded the Xerox driver to the new computer, the printer is connected via USB. Each time I try to print the PDF file(s), they do not print on the entire page (8.5x11). All data on a page is printed but it is printed as a 1/2 page and in landscape, not portrait. I have tried to adjust the printer settings via Windows 7 (print window) but cannot get the document printed correctly.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI set up a network printer and for some reason, Windows won't print to it (no error, the jobs just queues indefinitely) unless the Windows Firewall is disabled. I tried making a rule to allow outbound connections for all programs on all ports (which it seems to me should be the same as turning the firewall off), but no luck. I looked at the port the printer is using and its some WSD port, but there isn't an option to allow one of these under the firewall rules. What is WSD? And does anyone have any suggestions about how to make this work?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am finding that I am unable to print documents presented to me on the internet using Adobe. When I select to print the documents, they process to my print select screen (which shows to print all pages). I then select print and get a message "The document could not be printed." I press "OK" on that screen and get a new message "There were no pages selectged to print." When in fact there were. I have also tried going nto select the specific pages to be printed on the print select screen, but with the same result.

1 x Desktop PC, 2 Printers installed via USB - Windows 7 Home Premium installed. We have multiple users, Administrator group and then 2 user groups with no admin We want to restrict printing on the user groups with no admin rights so that when the person prints they have to have an administrator/authorized user type in there username and password.I have managed to restrict printing but as of yet have not worked out how to allow the users to print providing the admin logs in.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Windows 7 machine, 64bit running Ultimate. I am trying to get it to print to a Canon iR C3220. I have the 64bit Canon iR C3220-C2 PCL5c driver installed which works fine on 4 other machine of the same specs. On one machine though when printing anything, the document is sent to the printer but the user has to manually clear the message to "load more paper", and there is already full trays in there, so the document is printed. If there is more than one document to print the user has to stand by the machine and press the "load more paper" to print the next document.

I have been able to network the two computers, meaning I am able to create a file on the Mac and save it on the Toshiba and vice-versa. But I am unable to print a document from the Mac on the Canon printer which is connected to the Windows laptop. I think I correctly followed instructions here.

View 1 Replies View RelatedCustomer has Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64 bit OS. Customer highlights a sequence of consecutive MS Word 2010 files in his C:usersUserNameMy Documents folder (NOT the My Documents library but the actual folder). He right clicks and selects Print in the pop-up menu. Some print, some do not and the order of printing is NOT EXACTLY the order of the files in the folder. On previous customer PCs running Vista and Windows XP the above worked PERFECTLY. However, the customer was running Word 2007 on the Vista PCs.
note this is NOT the Word 2010 error about "xxxx normal.dot" that Google search will quickly show for bulk printing. There is NO error message. Also the normal.dot error prevents all but the first file from printing ; he gets several files to print. Also this is NOT printing from a Window 7 library (which did not exist in earlier OS's). A windows 7 library is ACTUALLY links to files in the actual folders and MAYBE bulk printing would not work for a library BUT this is the actual My Documents folder as defined above (full path name). Also he has only tried this for Word 2010 files BUT that could be because that is all he want to print. The problem could occur with a mix of ANY printable files (ex Word and PDFs); I can not report on whether that is true or not as I only have info from the customer on the phone about this at the moment.
(1) Has any other sevenforums expert seen this problem or can provide a link to a forum where someone else reported this problem.
(2) What is the solution OR is does this feature just not work right in Windows 7. Regarding this last thing, please note the feature has not worked right since he first booted his Windows 7 SP1 PC. It did not work initially and then later fail.
i have window 7 and install printer hp laserjet p1007 on same pc which is on lan network. The said printer was working properly till date but from today it does not print any document.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI would just like to say, I am not just posting this question anyhow. I have read around and I haven't found any solution to my problem, thus I have resorted in opening a new thread. So here is the prob:I have a Windows 7 Starter Edition netbook which is connected to a WRT54GL Wireless-G Router. This router is connected via hard wire to my Windows Vista Desktop and that is how the desktop has access to the internet. The netbook is accessing the internet the very same Router via Wi-Fi. The Printer (HP DeskJet 940c) is connected and installed on the Windows Vista Desktop and is functioning. It prints when I give it commands from the desktop. I have set the printer sharing options 'on' in the Networks and Sharing Center as well as haven't kept a sharing password (its open and unprotected). This is as far as I have gotten. My next challenge is, how can I print from the Windows 7 Starter Edition netbook on my HP Deskjet 940c via the Router.I would be very grateful if someone can explain to me in a very noob-ish way as I am not a techie. If someone could send me a video link or so.
