View 3 RepliesWhilst I was running Glary utilities , I noticed 3 entries in the program listing , and I have no idea what they are . googled , and got mixed results . the listings were :MSVCRT , MSVCRT 110 and MSVCRT_amd64 . Bit confused as I don't have any AMD kit in my PC.
View 7 Replies View RelatedSo, the problem is fairly simple. Basically, when i right click on my desktop to pull up the personalize menu and such, sometimes windows explorer crashes, and it blames msvcrt.dll as the culprit. It's strange because sometimes this will happen so much to the point that i can NEVER right click and must reboot after which it'll work perfectly again, or sometimes it will only happen every few clicks or so.
Usually though, it's all a fairly uncommon occurence, but annoying none-the-less. Anyone have any idea what's going on? i usually am always running the same programs (not very many, either), so i can't really tie it to a particular program... *shrug*
Oh, FYI, I have Win 7 Ultimate x64 edition. If you need more info, let me know!
We recently installed Yahoo messenger and suddenly the Library folder isn't showing any folders/files under the Administrator account. When I go to create a new Library it reads the following error message: "Unable to create the new file 'New Library.library-ms' File System Error: (16389)." Not only is the library no longer accessible, but I cannot access any of the Music, Pictures or Documents from the Start Menu.I am only able to access the folders using the search bar by selecting "User Name" from the drop down box, then suddenly everything's there. It will not allow me to drag/drop anything into the Library folder or even create a new one.

View 9 Replies View RelatedWindows 7 now incorporate Librarys as a way of sorting ur stufff instead of designated Folders. Well I always Renamed my libraries (from Beta to RC to now Win 7 Pro) with no probs at all.Tll just now. I discovered all my libraries have "fixed" them selves to the default naming (music, Videos, Documents...you get the pic ). Any further changes to the library name does not work at all. However if i were to change the library name to anything other than the desired library name, it would change without a hitch. just what is going on here? It jut recovered from another prob, that was Chckdsk not starting (it would get stuck at 1 second) now my question is these problems interelated, and if so do i really have to reinstall My copy of windows 7 ?(please don't tell me i have to. D=)
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhere are the REAL picutes you download stored? I'm confused about the library.. I download a set of pics and the file is named the date. Then when I have time, I have tried to go in and set up folders, by year 2011, Month, or activity such as folder named 'Holiday's that would be in the 2011 folder... when I move the pis to a newly created folder to organize them all, it freaks out and gives me some error message! It seems then the pictures are lost or unaccesable because they were moved. Am I not allowed to touch these, and orgainze once downloaded? those that undestand where I am coming from and can tell me how it work and what to do.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a security question about the "Include in Library" function. I have 2-1 tearbite hard drives in my desktop . The OP is on C drive , and the second drive is in 2 partitions E and F . I save all my important stuff on E and back up E on F. If I use the Library function and shortcut a file from E to startup on C wouldn't it create a way for a hacker or a virus to get into E drive? I hope I explained this right.

understanding the 50 folder limitation of Windows 7 Libraries. Using Google, I found this:[URL]That post claims that there is a distinction between "parent" folders and "standard" folders (which can, perhaps, be called subfolders). So here are 2 sample Library structures:
Family Photos Library
Old Family Photos folder
[INDENT]Many subfolders*

WMP is showing music library at opening, but it won't load any album art. It's a bit complicated to explain the problem exactly, so I will post some screenshots that you can get what I'm saying.
1) I open WMP, and at it's set to Library => Musc => All music, but it wont' load any album art. I see album name, artist, and everything else, but no album art. I tried to wait, but even after hour or so everything's still same.
2) I go to album submenu (or any ohter), and than it shows album art normally.
3) After that, I go back to All music, and then I can see album art there, as well.
Libraries are one of the coolest features introduced by Windows 7. They can help people organize their files and folders very efficiently. By using libraries, you can easily build a system so that you can always find what you want in seconds. Not only that, but you can also sort, tag or edit files and folders with just a few clicks. In this article I will explain what libraries are, show how they work and how to create new ones. Also, I'll show how to add new folders to a library, how to modify its properties and how to delete a library.

View 8 Replies View RelatedMy notebook's music library had three locations: c:userspublicmusic c:usersmemusic \servermusic That last one is on a Windows Home Server. I decided to remove the server's music folder from the notebook's music library because I only wanted the files that are on the notebook to be displayed in the music library. The problem is that Zune, Media Center and Windows Media Player 12 all still show files from the server's music folder. I verified that the server's music folder is no longer listed as a location in the notebook's music library. I've also rebooted the notebook.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm having a very strange problem with my System32 folder. Basically if I move files into System32 I cannot open them while they are in there but once I move them back out I can open them again. For example I am trying to add some .dlls for a java library and they will open with programmers notepad fine on the desktop but as soon as I move them into System32 I get an error saying the files do not exist when I try and open them. But if I copy them back out again they will open fine again. ( A normal text file also has the same problem )I have access to another computer running Windows 7 Ultimate X86 and I didn't have the same issues. I did go through and compare permissions on System32 between the two and I couldn't really see a difference. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium X64.
View 3 Replies View Relatedhow can I change program association on Libraries? I mean, in Music, when you right click your Album Art it gives you the option to play with Windows Media Player. I would like to change that to WinAmp. Can it be done? I saw you can change the icon, so I guessed.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently switched from Mac to PC, and I would like to transfer my iTunes library (preferably with all the playlists intact) via external harddrive. I uploaded all my iTunes data to the drive making sure to consolidate my library first so that all my playlist/rating data would be uploaded as well. I have about 12,000 songs, so this process took several hours.I hooked up my drive to my PC, and I tried dragging the music folder to various locations (My Music, desktop, etc.)It seems like the copying process starts (it says time/speed is calculating and that it is starting to detect more and more GB of data), but then it mysteriously stops and the update box disappears. There is no error message. When I try to drag it one more time, nothing happens.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI know this is a small issue but I've already tried a few things. Naturally I made sure that in WMP 12 I went to Organize > Options > Player Tab and made sure "Keep Now Playing on top of other windows" is already UN-checked.I can also get this to work in the 64 bit version by doing the following:
1. Right click on the WMP shortcut and click properties.
2. In the Target box Add /Task MediaLibrary to the end.
3.Click ok.
Should look like this."C:Program FilesWindows Media Playerwmplayer.exe" /Task MediaLibrary Here is my particular conundrum. When I use the above example it works but it reverts back to the 64-bit version of WMP 12 and I lose all of my custom plug-ins. All my plug-ins are only compatible with the 32 bit version of WMP NOT the 64 bit version. I'd like to find a way of opening WMP 12 (32-bit) with Library View on top without losing the plug ins.I know this is a small issue as I can always click "Switch to Library" in the upper right hand corner. But who wants to do that every time a person opens WMP 12? I know its not the end of the world, but I never use the Now Playing screen as I'm always in the Library.
I have developed a S/W which works fine in windows XP environment but not in win 07. I am getting below error.Unable to register the library c:windowssystem32stdole2.lib Error accessing the OLE register.I tried to register the library in many ways 1) Downloaded VBRegTLB6.exe to register the library.2)Downloaded process monitor to find the Error's in the process3) Downloaded subinacl.msi to solve problems during setup4) Run with "Run with Administration"5) Tried to run in comparability mode Please tell me if there any other way.

My video library use to look like this as you can see, nothing unusual. Now, I have an SSD and a 500G HDD so my main storage drive isnt the "C" drive but the second one. i went to the video library to add a video folder on the second HDD "E" and this happens I dont want it to list each source and tell me what videos I have from it. like in the first picture i want it to tell me at the top how many sources it is pulling from and then show them all in one nice folder.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am setting up a new system and this is my first foray into the Win 7 world. So far, I really like it. My questions revolve around the location and size of Library folders. My root drive is an Intel SSD of 160 GB. My plan is to load program files only onto the C: drive and have all data and seldom used by useful programs on the 1 TB D: harddrive. My questions are, 1. Is there a way to change the default location of the Library folders to a drive other than C:? 2. Can the Library folders, or additional Library folders be located on the D drive? 3. If I have to leave the Library folders on the C: drive, I am concerned about the size. When I do a properties check on the folders listed under libraries, is the size given the size of the Library folder on C:, or the size of the folder actually holding the files?
