Jul 27, 2012I have had two separate computers with two separate o/s systems using Windows 7 ultimate, one installed directly from discs, one upgraded from Windows Home Premium. The restore has never worked on either of them. Another friend who has the same system has the same problem. It does work (or at least, it worked one time) in Windows Home Premium. Does system restore not play well with Windows 7 Ultimate 32x & 64x? Last computer was Dell Dimensions 4600 with 2GB RAM, 2 TB harddrive Windows 7 Ultimate 32x . The 2nd is a Dell Inspiron 2320 all in one with 8 GB RAM & 2 TB harddrive WIndows 7 Ultimate 64x . Maybe it is just Dell doesn't play well with Windows 7 Ultimate 64x? It does creat restore points manually and also automatically. Each time you attempt restore it simply never completes and the system message is always the same, Unfornately I forget what it was ended in 009. Dell was actually on line with me and trying their best and saw the system message but still couldn't figure out why it wouldnt work. We removed ALL the anti virus, we turned off firewalls, we used safe mode, none of them worked.

However, the sound is not played.The sounds applet in control panel has the "Print Complete" sound defined correctly and the Test button plays the sound. So I do not have an audio problem, and the .wav file is not blocked.I have looked for any options that could control the sound, but have not found any.

Nov 8, 2011The problem occurs while playing Starcraft2. The system will freezes after maybe 10 min of play. Screens go black and sound is frozen, and I have to reset manually. Sometimes though, I can play for hours with no freezeThe Windows install is only a few weeks old and I led Windows install every driver for itself, and then updated my graphics driver to the newest from nVidia.com, installed the drivers for the Razer keyboard and mouse and then went on to install my usual stuff from Ninite.I am aware that it might be a problem with heat (on the graphics card), however it should not be, since the computer is placed in a closet with a very large fan installed in it, so that fresh air is constantly flowing. Also no weird artifacts are displayed before the crash, which is usually the case with heat problems on the graphics card, in my experience.I used the verifier.exe procedure to force a BSOD (don't know if this isctual freeze is not a BSOD). The BSOD happened before I could get to desktop. The dump analysis and health repport is atttached. My system specs are in my profile

Feb 3, 2012how can I play a video in jet audio (or any other media program) on one monitor while I play a fullscreen game on the other. I can get it to work with streams off of website like own3d.tv and twitch.tv, and I can even run the streams in full screen. However when I try to run a movie through jet audio or even just play music through zune player, they freeze up. The audio will still come through, but either the picture is frozen in place or the zune player seems to get frozen.
