View 21 RepliesOk, this is probably a dumb question but I want to find it and I'm having a hard time doing it.I had a image on my pc and I hit Prt Scr button, so I could save it to paint. I had to leave the pc and do something and when I realized I had done a bunch of other stuff on my PC, I realized that I had lost the image. (This was a month ago)I know there must be somewhere maybe on a clipboard where I may be able to find this image??
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a Canon Power Shot SD600 which I am attempting to upload photos from. I have a new Toshiba Sattelite. The USB ports work fine for every other use so far (I-Pod, external monitors, wireless keyboard, etc.). Even when I unplug all of these things, the camera is not recognized. There are no beeps, or alerts that I have plugged anything in. The camera is turned on and I have tried plugging the USB into each available port with the same result.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having an issue with the creation/modification date of .mov video files on my computer. Simply, they both keep changing to the current date/time when I transfer them to my computer.
For example, if I transfer my .mov videos from my Canon camera via USB to my computer (copy from one, paste into the other), both the created date AND the modified date in Windows 7 becomes the current date/time that I'm transferring them instead of the date/time they were actually shot (which is indeed on the file in the camera). All other video types from other cameras or the like (MP4, MPG, WMV, etc.) don't do this. In fact, I've never experienced this with any of my movie files before and have always been able to see the time they were shot because the created and the modified dates will be when they were shot (and only one changes when I move them).
.mov files automatically get the current date/time for both the created date AND the modified date meaning a video shot and dated weeks ago on the camera appears like I shot it right now when it's transferred to my computer.
I'm not sure if this is a Windows 7 thing with .mov files or a Canon thing. I've posted in a Canon forum and nobody seems to know what I'm talking about so I'm assuming it can't be that widespread. I just don't know where to go with this and it's driving me insane. I hate that I can't tell when my videos from a trip or whatnot were actually shot. It looks like they were all shot at the exact same moment weeks after I got back!
I would like to download a driver to be able to transfer my photos from camera to computer.Do you have a download for windows 7?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm currently administrator of a couple different groups of computers at a university, and I've been looking into changing the layout of the logon screen. I've found a lot of information, but something that I have wanted from the start has eluded me. I'd like to set the logon screen (or welcome screen I suppose) to display only one available account: the guest account that I have personalized for professors or students to use (not the same as the default Windows guest account). I would also like to have the option to switch users at the logon screen, preferably with the on-screen button that says switch users which I can't seem to get to display using my methods.
System Specs All of the PCs I am administrating have some differences... Simply put, I have a bunch of desktops running Windows 7 Pro x64, and a bunch of NetBooks running Windows 7 Starter x86. I've made my attempts on one of the NetBooks thus far since I can carry it around. On Windows 7 Starter it seems that "Switch User" is disabled, but I think it is still in the PC because when I tried a Registry Hack that hides all user accounts except the one that was last logged into, I had the option to switch users, but only when the account I last used had a password. The guest account does not and cannot have one. Anyway, the registry hack I just mentioned involves going to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE..... and creating a bogus key under the ProfileList key.
I also tried a similar thing to the above which didn't work, I can't remember what it was though.I have also tried hiding the default administrative account I made while keeping the other account visible, but this results in me not being able to log into that account from the Login screen, and the system will automatically login to the guest account because it doesn't have a password. Not necessarily a bad thing, but I need a way to get into the other account. This was done by changing HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOF... and adding the account to hide as a 32 bit DWORD. Don't hide all of your administrator accounts in this fashion, or you'll be screwed FYI.
The third thing I tried was adding an entry for fast user switching and enabling/disabling it, in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOF.... and adjusting the "HideFastUserSwitching" key. This didn't seem to have any effect.I also tried various combinations of the above, but that didn't get me the outcome I was looking for either. This has all been on the netbook, but I'm looking for a solution that will work on the NetBooks and the Desktops.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI want to take my Windows 7 from 32-bit to-64 bit. I know that to get from a 32 bit OS to 64 bit you have to do a clean install. Problem is, i upgraded to 7 from Vista about a year ago using a 32 bit version downloadable installer so there's no discs with 32 and 64 bit version. So I guess my real question is can i use a 32 bit upgrade version's key on a 64 bit non-upgrade version? I could download a 64 bit version ISO and do a clean install with that, right?.as long as the key i already have would work?

Everything I try is FUBAR.
Edit: Okay..nevermind..I Frankenstein it and figured it out finally..I just copied the install files onto my USB flash drive and rebooted and set to boot to USB drive.
No need for an ISO
Edit 2: ...Okay..I give up..I get an error during install saying Windows can't install the required files. The file may be corrupt or missing. bla bla
Anyone else getting this with the 32bit leaked copy that just came out?
