How To Delete Bonjour File To Get Wireless Internet Proper Working
Aug 15, 2012
How to delete bonjour file and fix the network problems? Whenever I turn on my pc, I have to wait 1 minute then I have to pull out the Ethernet cable and then put it back in again for the internet to work, I think this is due to bonjour. Also, I think I got it from Photoshop cs3, and bonjour is not in the form of a program but a folder.
I have thoroughly deleted Apple's "Bonjour For Windows" application from my Windows 7 Home Premium PC because it simply would not work. It would not allow me to access or use my Canon MP530 printer which uses a USB connection to our desktop iMac. I tried to delete the "printers" created by Bonjour prior to uninstalling the software. That did not work. Now I cannot delete the printers after the software is thoroughly how I can get rid of these Bonjour-created printers from my Devices and Printers container? I suspect they are interfering with my ability to access and use the printer using a strictly Windows 7 configuration / setup (Which is NOT easy to establish. Contrary to Microsoft advertising, working through a network setup like we have is unclear, the printer is not discovered or discoverable, and the network administrator I'm supposed to check with is ME.)
I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium. My wireless connection has been working on and off for a while, but now it just refuses to work. The other computers in the wireless network are working just fine, so it must be definitely something in my laptop.I can detect the network just fine, with good signal. It says:
Media State: Enabled IPv4 Connectivity: No internet access IPv6 Connectivity: No internet access
Also, in the activity there are Bytes sent and received, but I cannot connect to any webpage either with Chrome of Firefox I'm using McAfee Security Center. I tried turning off the firewall, but it still doesn't work.

I just went crazy as how strange issues my computer produced after I installed a program that uses Bonjour service by Apple (usually Adobe CS3 or iTunes). I tried to remove it following the posts I found around the net, but it just totally broke my system. So after a reinstall and some struggle I think I found what to do in what sequence to get Bonjour removed and the networking system fixed.
Some of the issues which happened frequently for me were:
No internet connection if you turn on your computer until you manually disable and enable your adapter. Strange behaviour during internet browsing: you have to refresh pages sometimes as they just not load for the first time, or click on a link twice as nothing happens for the first time. You have to connect multiple times to a FTP server, as nothing is happening for the first time. First you should download two programs and save or print this guide as your internet connection can go down after the first restart.
Download and run TurnOffBonjour.exe http://download.gizmoproject.com/jas...OffBonjour.exe Rename Program FilesBonjour folder to Bonjour.bak Download and run LSPFix.exe from http://www.cexx.org/LSPFix.exe You just need to click "Finish" and "OK" Restart your computer Write "netsh winsock reset" in the Start Menu/Run.. prompt. You might need to do it as admin. Restart your computer again. Now everything should work as it was originally, before Apple's evil Bonjour service turned everything upside down. You can delete or leave the Bonjour.bak folder if you like.
Doing some house cleaning. Before I delete some of these programs, which ones do I really need? Bonjour. I have iTunes, but no Mac. Don't think I knowingly ever used this program. Which of these MS Redistributables do I need?
I have had this problem not being able to turn on the wireless radio for months. I have to get it turned on now. When I press <fn> F5 I can see the wireless radio is off. I see the power on button. When I select the power on button nothing happens. I expect the wireless radio to power on.I have tried fixing the winsock. I have run this MS fix at: How to determine and to recover from Winsock2 corruption in Windows Server 2003, in Windows XP, and in Windows Vista And I have run this bat file
** Start of bat file called renew-ip-reset-winsock.bat ipconfig /release pause ipconfig /renew
I have a Dell Inspiron N5110, Intel core 3 processor, and Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit os. I have recently reinstalled windows 7 from the windows 8 os. I can't access my wireless internet, I can only get to the internet via hard wire. I have searched Dell and Intel for the network controller driver and the sm bus controller driver, but to no avail.
Am using dell inspiron laptop with windows 7 home premium 64 bit , i have a free wifi in our collage when i give connect it was getting connected but there is no internet access i had tried with trouble shoot it was giving problem regarding DNS
A few days ago the public wireless internet i used worked fine and i had no problems with my computer. Now when i try to connect to it, it isn't allowing me access. It works just fine on my sisters laptop that is the same model and brand as mine.
I have the home edition. I'm trying to delete a "ZTE Proprietary USB Modem" profile. I've removed the program through device manager and it's gone, but it still shows up when I click on "connect to a network". My adhoc network is also there. How do I get rid of both of them. I'd like to start with a clean slate to get my Ad hoc network going. I've tried the "Manage Wireless Networks" but they don't show up there.
I can no longer upload files to the internet. When I try to Internet Explorer 9 crashes and restarts. The same thing happens when I right click on a picture on the internet and try to save it to my computer. The only changes to my computer was I upgraded the Norton Anti Virus software. I've reinstalled IE9 and same thing. I tried reinstalling Norton and same thing.
I'm trying to delete this file in My Downloads folder (Firefox) but everytime I try, it says "Could Not Find This Item. This is no longer located in :\Users\Username\Downloads. Verify the item's location and try again. Type:File. ize: 0 bytes. It's just annoying me. I've tried Refreshing and rebooting.
"Could not find this item." "This is no longer located in C:/Users/Amber/My Pictures. Please verify the items location and try again."How do you delete the file? it was a picture, but now it's like a blank white paper looking thing. i just want it OUT of my pictures file. No, i cannot move it to another folder, it says the same thing as above.Windows 7, Premium Vision, HP Pavilion g series, Pavilion g4..
I can't delete a jpg file from our computer. The issue is that we can't even click on the file w/o it freezing the computer. I noticed the problem because I tried to run a defrag and virus check but both get stuck on this same file. I can't right click on it or even drag a box over it w/o the computer freezing.
so i cant delete a file that is giving my computer viruses. I went in and tried to set the security to allow me to delete, but even with me being the administrator i cant change anything this is the file: C:WindowsInstaller{e0b2d104-07bf-22c0-683c-905e6600cc79}
I had some RAR files, which I extracted into a single 8GB 1080p movie file. Throughout the movie playback my PC lagged like it was 50 years old and the movie kept getting stuck at times. Now when I attempt to delete the movie file, it says recycling but it never goes any further on the green progress bar. I have gone into safe mode and tried deleting it, same issue, it gets stuck there. I have played other 1080p files bigger than 8GB and they have run with no issues at all, so this file is just weird and corrupted. And now it won't get deleted I tried using file shredder and THAT also got stuck and went nowhere. I tried cut/paste the file into another external HDD and that also got stuck. How the heck do I get rid of it? PC starts lagging a lot if I touch it. Will system restore remove it?I have: Windows 7 Ultimate Core2Duo 3.0ghz 4GB RAM Nvidia GTS 250
Downloaded a few cbr files (comic books in .cbr format) and now I have a file listed with 0 bytes that wont let me delete it. I've tried unlocker, killbox and a few other things to try to get rid of this annoying file but nothing seems to work to make it go away. I even downloaded the same file again but while the file successfully downloaded again, the "ghost" file is still there. It is not a virus or malware; I checked that already. When I try to delete the file I get this message:"Could not find this item." "This is no longer located inC:\user(foldername)\Downloads. Verify the item's location and try again."
I have two blank files on my desktop. I can't rename them, and I can't delete them either! When I try and drag it over to the Recycle Bin, nothing happens. When I try and delete one of them, I get the message "Could not find this item".
I want to delete 20 folders containing images. Whe I try to delete more than one folder, I keep getting a Thumbs file. when I skip it, it returns for each folder. If I delete a single folder, it gets deleted OK.
For a week or so now, I've been having this issue where I can't delete this file without an extension. It was supposed to be a .RAR file but something failed and it left this. Now when I try sending it to the recycle bin it says that this is not the valid location of the file. So now I don't know where it is. I tried using FileAssassin but it couldn't be deleted.
I'm trying to delete an ISO image which appears to be in use by System. When I boot into safe mode and try it, the error still comes up. I've also tried deleting it via the elevated command prompt. Changing the security permissions doesn't seem to do it
When I delete a file in a directory, of any extension, it takes about ten minutes or more to ask if I wish to delete this file. When I delete a working file from within a program, say Excel 2007, the screen presents a transparent whiteout and the program hangs. Some times Windows ask if I wish to terminate the program or wait for the program to execute. Again, if I wait, it takes about ten minutes.
Using Windows 7 Home Premium. I have some MS Word 97-2003 .doc files that I cannot Delete, Move, nor Rename. I get this message: The action can't be completed because the file is open in Microsoft Word
If I edit them and do Save As... I cannot delete the new file either. It only hapens on some of my old files - not all.
Have deleted files, registry keys etc., but still it pops up on opening Firefox. It does not, however, show when using IE [which I do not use generally but did so as a test]. The only place I have found any reference to this abysmal virus is in the clr.lst file and I am not sure if it is permissible or wise to delete the file or even to edit it since I am not sure of it's purpose.
Can I put bootsqm in a folder somewhere? And 2, if anyone doesn't mind explaining, what exactly IS bootsqm?
Hey, I'm wondering if someone could tell me what bootsqm.dat is? I mean considering it has boot in the name I'm assuming it boots something, and it's coming up as clean so I really don't care, but I'm a little curious about if this is something normal. The reaon I'm wondering is because I figure if it was an adobe file or a system file, it would be in a folder wouldnt it?
It's just sitting there on my local drive (c:) without even being in a folder... Kinda bugs me. I think it may be on my xp as well... not sure.
Oh, and sorry if this is a waste of a thread, but I just want to be safe considering I'm using a beta AV right now (it's nice but idk how reliable it is, it passed my tests though), and I want to be sure I don't get an infection for another month or so when I get Eset smart security 4 (building this computer robbed me =(
EDIT: does nobody know about this? Should I just delete it to be safe?
To make this more... on topic, is it recomended to get ESET smart security 4, or wait until they come out with a Windows 7 specific AV? Because buying eset in august and then having a Windows 7 AV come out 2 months later would suck...
When I used VirtualBox and had system failures and/or viruses, I tried to save it with an antivirus. Sometimes it did not help so I had to delete it and create a new one.Well, I wan't to try the VHD booting on windows 7, but before I start I want to know what happens when my VHD file gets infected by malicious code. Can I just delete the VHD file and create a new one? as I would do with VBox?
I was having troubles with deleting some files and folders in windows 7, I used a software called longpath. It works fine. Do I have any other options to do that thing? Or is it ok to be with longpath?
