When I first assembled my pc I installed my drivers from the motherboard disc. Now I want to update them to the latest version. How does this work? Do I just install over the old ones or do I have to uninstall. Also in the dowloads page of my motherboard I see.
Intel(R) Management Engine Interface V8.1.10.1275 for Windows XP/Vista/7/8 32bit & 64bit.(WHQL), my version is V7.1.21.1124, should I update this as well.

I have 5 updates that fail to install. I have also tried to manually install them, but they still fail Here are the updates:

The error code I get is "800736B3". I ran MS FIXIT and it said they did not detect any problems.

I have Administrative rights to the computers only, and network access rights on our network. I keep a number of computers up to date, including various 3rd-party programs (i.e. java, flash, etc), and I currently manually remotely connect to each computer and install the updates to the programs from a network share, then run Windows update, select all the critical updates (as well as all the applicable optional updates), then disconnect and move on to the next one. Needless to say, time quickly adds up.

Could I have some suggestions as to what would be a reasonable new mobo upgrade with maybe something like an Intel (what type) dual core processor or suggested alternatives - I need the whole system to be a bit quicker. Most importantly though without having to re-install Win 7 in the process. I would probably have to stay with 32bit as this is what everything is now.The new board must have at least 1 IDE for my Plextor PX-870A DVD and at least 4 sata connections. There is so much stuff out there which makes the choice confusing.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have quite a few hard drives but for the time being I have unplugged all of them and I am just trying to install windows on my 120GB OCZ Vertex 3 SSDI am booting windows 7 off of my flash drive which has worked on pretty much all my other Windows installs.I am able to get into the Windows 7 setup however right after clicking Install Now I get a screen saying "Select Driver to be installed" Which has a pop up screen headed "Load Driver" and then information about needing a CD/DVD with the correct driver information on it.I have tried using the CD that came with the Mobo. But nothing even if I got the list to populate with a choice after clicking on it and choosing next I would get an error that it can't be installedI have tried booting in IDE, ACHI, and RAID. All modes I get the same problem. The PC is finding the HDD because it is in the BIOS and I can even boot from it, but since it has an old Windows 7 install it just ends up rebootingI have also noticed that in the BIOS there was an option to turn off various storage controllers. I tried disabling them to leave just the Intel RAID controller. Yet still I get the same problems.

But when I boot in safe mode I cannot access my driver cd, it tells me to reinstall the program or something. So basically i'm stuck in a loop.

I can't understand why I even need them, as I uninstalled net framework. Notice how the update at 8:17 AM., KB2656368, is the same as one of the 4 updates installed at 7:47 PM. Windows wants to install the same four kb files again.How do I stop this?

It loads to 15% then it says "failure configuring updates, reverting to old setup", or something similar. First I had 8 updates when this started happening but I managed to install the security updates by selecting them exclusively. I have have tried deleting my updates folder and download again but same thing happens. Is there a fix for this?
