I dont know if this is posted in the right area but I'm so desperate to get my laptop working its unreal. First it started off with my laptop crashing, I had totally forgot it needed to do a windows update and turned off my laptop in hopes that it would work properly. After that my laptop has not been working. The machine turns on and gives me two options. Start windows normally or do a repair. Upon starting windows normally, it loads so far before sending me back to the two options of start windows normally or repair. On the second time I clicked repair. My laptop then goes so far before presenting me with a blue screen that is usually the screen where my accounts are. The cursor still moves but it loads no further even after leaving it an hour. I decided to make a repair disk, hoping that the problem was because of windows. the disk loads, gives me a choice on the keyboard language then does nothing. I honestly have no idea what to do, I want to keep all the files safe on my computer as I havent backed them up and I have worked so hard on the projects.
Im having a couple problems with my computer, firstly when i boot up The icon for the LAN onnection has a red cross to say its not connected even though it is and it will recognise that it is after approx. 5 minutes and will only say network instead of the actual name if my connection (network99) secondly when i log on from booting up the desktop take a while to load and all the icon thumbnails load slowly one at a time and its really slow.
Recently my computer is always at 100% even when no apps are running. But as soon as i run Task manager load reduces. This doesnt happen in safe mode. Im sure that this is a virus. When i scan my computer with Avira Antivirus (Free) it doesnt detect anything
my daughter has a two year old Toshiba Satellite laptop, AMD, Windows 7 64 bit. (I don't know all the specs to her machine) Windows will not load.Gives me two options at start up, normal or Repair start up, I have tried.both, normal brings me back to the same menu, so then I check repair, itruns through to the windows loading, then goes to a blank screen with the cursor. When she got this pc I created 4 recovery discs from the start menu the.4th one I have labelled Recovery Environment 64 bit. Can anyone guide me here?If her hard drive was fried would I still get the Windows starting up menu?I have never tried to repair a laptop, have done it a quite few times on my.desktops, but am at a loss since there are no messages at all during start up.Okay, I have tried using the disks, the first one seemed to run through, then I had to shut system off and put the 2 and 3rd recovery disk in, but this is part of the message I received when I tried to run those disks.Intel UNDI, PXE-2.1 (build 002)This product is covered by on or more of the following.PXE Rom the same message seemed to fill the screen - looks to me a failed drive? How do I check that? When I went into the Bios it seemed surprisingly limited (sparse) , not sure if it said hard drive or not Can I fix this without taking it to a shop? and if I had to buy another HD.for the laptop is the Windows 7 OS on those 4 recovery discs I made or will I have to buy another licence?
the thing is, after some usual Microsoft updates on my Windows 7 Home premium, it refuses to load, stuck at "windows loading" right after bios loads, i have to shut down the PC and restart, and it loads, but then it installs the updates again, and the same thing happens, how do i solve this
windows 7 32| installed by the manufacturer so I don't have any discs to reload it..I'm sending this on my mac because I cannot start windows on my laptop Yesterday it went into some sort of thing where I tried to restore it the way it came from the manufacturer but it's in some sort of loop.I started in SAFE mode and used the restore setting but now it starts trying to load but I get this error message: "the computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error, windows installation cannot proceed. To install windows click OK to restart then restart the installation"... [setup is preparing your computer for first use]
I am about to buy a new desktop and notice that most of them now come with Windows 7 Home Premium. I was wondering if it's possible to load Windows 7 Pro? My CD of 7 pro is 32 bit version. Will it be compatible with a 64 bit machine?
I have tried 5 times to load Windows 7 Service Pack 1 and each time it fails. I have made sure there is enough disk space, updated the drivers & run cCleaner registry check - all to no avail.I have also explored the Microsoft suggestions for the failure to load. It would appear that it might be caused by the Background Intelligent Transfer Service as this doesn't start. It won't start if you access it manually through the control panel either.
I'm in the process of acquiring the parts to build a new PC and was kicking around the idea of how I want to load windows 7, my programs and files and such? I was thinking about buying two different hard drives, one smaller one (250GB or smaller) and one bigger (maybe 2TB). I would use the smaller hard drive to only load the operating system on and the other hard drive would be used to load all my programs, files, emails and such on.I'm thinking that by having the OS only on one drive it would be easier to recover from should I have another hard drive failure on the drive the OS is loaded on. Same for the programs, files etc.. should that disk develop a problem down the road it would make it much easier to recover from if everything was on a separate disk than the OS?I eventually plan on building a small server for my home network that would be used to run a network that consists of 1 server, 2 Pc's , 1 laptop, 2 Netbooks, several smart phones and 1 centralized laser printer that everyone can print from.
My computer i tried changing the boot drive to my ssd but decided not to mess with it till windows 8 because i dont have the time to reinstall all my stuff right now and now HDD is showing when i boot my computer up to pick to load either Win 7 or Win 7 and the top one will not work it says its corrupted but the bottom works perfectly fine any ideas on how i could get rid of the corrupted one?
So I installed windows 7 onto a usb using their tool. So if I format my hard drive and restart will I be able to do a clean install of windows using the usb? Or is their a chance it might not work?
cant get windows to load normally, nor in safe mode and i cant even get into system restore, it loads then there is a quick blue screen and then restarts on its own.... i have a 1TB HD in 4 partitions i can only see the C drive listed and it says 132 out of 931 free which makes sense with all the data on all 4 parts......i took the HD and used an enclosure but the i cant get the D to recognize anywhere......i was thinking maybe using the Combo fix on the boot up might work??
I was turning on my laptop but realised i had to be somewhere else at that time and needed to leave so in a silly rush i just as it was loading i held the power button so it shut down (I know that is a terrible thing to do but was in a rush and wasnt thinking clearly) and now when i turn it on it load but it gets the screen that is all black with only the mouse cursor showing and stops there and does not load to the log in screen. Anyway to fix this without a fresh install as i have documents on there i really cant afford to lose.
statement of windows failed to load because a critical system driver is missing or corrupt. It said for me to insert disk, or contact administrator however, I have no disk
when turning on the pc it comes up with a black screen and says windows error recovery, the starts doing a launch start up repair which doesnt seem to do anything
I just changed my CMOS Battery and put the date and time back in the BIOS and now when i get past the POST screen it goes to a "A recent hardware has been changed, click on diagnostic and fix" something like that. so i did that and it goes and checks and comes back saying failed. now i try just clicking on "Start Windows Manually" and the windows 7 icon pops up with 2 little dots then freezes and reboots my pc back to the BIOS. i did a diagnostic from the BIOS and it says my Memory and hard drive is OK.
My friends laptop wont load windows normally, but i am able to get into Safe Mode.Laptop Specs:Dell Insperion M5030AMD Athlon II P360 Dual-Core Processor 2.29GHZ3.00GBWindows 7 Home Premium, 64-BitI have ran scans using Malwarebyes, SuperAnti Spyware, and the free version of Kaspersky, with 160 days left of activation.Scans pulled up a lot of adware cookies that i have since removed. The issue is that i am unable to get the system to load normally. I have been able to get it to load, but the computer goes into an intense think period, which causes me to force turn the computer off. Other times, i am able to type password in to log on, but the system screen remains blank and i have to force turn off the computer. What scan logs may i provide to help with this issue?NOTE: There is no recovery partition, and due to no free CD's at the time, there was no recovery disk made for the laptop.
1. I plugged the wire in my laptop(ASUS K40IJ) for some electricity
2. Without pressing the power button it suddenly turned on! Something was wrong at that time and it asked me to do something about the CMOS or something and I have noticed the time and date were jammed. But I proceeded.
3. I loaded my Windows 7 but there were problems regarding my dropbox(it had problems connecting to the website), on my google chrome( it could not load images). So I have decided to restart and see if it would fix the problem.
4. When I tried to run it again the system crashes(I couldnt even read the error) and restarts whenever I am in the "Starting Windows" screen.
5. I have tried almost all of the repairs offered by the OS except the command prompt part since I do not know how to use it.
6. Now I am stuck using my UBUNTU 11.10. It is working perfectly well until I saw that my chromium here was affected (It is not recording history but other than that it is working perfectly well)
The other day I was on my laptop computer and it froze. I had to hard shut it down (like I have done in the past) and when I tried to turn it back on, it wouldn't go past the "starting windows" screen. I have pressed F8 and F10 when I turned it back on and tried everything that it gives me the option for. It won't allow me to go into safe mode. It ends up doing the same thing as when I just try turning on the computer normally, doesn't go past the starting windows screen. I have had this computer for 3 years and have never had an issue with it until now. I don't even know if I still have the discs still or not (don't believe I do)
I have a Lenovo Laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium on it (32 bit). Everything worked fine until all the sudden the computer stoped working and there was this dash beeping... appears and disappears... It happend before the loading of the windows. On the BIOS stage.
So I told my girlfriend to bring the laptop over so I could take a look at the problem. It took her about a week or two to remember that she need to bring the computer over, so here we are... I turned on the computer and I noticed that everything is fine until the loading of the windows stage has come... And its just stuck. I turn it on and it gets me right to the Safe Mode and Last Known good stage... I tried starting it normally, in safe mode and every other possible way but the safe mode doesn't work, the last know good config is loading but stuck at the windows logo and then it gives me a BSOD for less than a second and restarts the computer.
I dont know what to do. I entered the Windows CD that I have from when I bought the laptop and I click on "Repair" but it doesn't show any windows. Its just stuck again.
I have no idea what to do, and I need the files on this laptop so I can't reinstall windows just yet...
I loaded a sata drive in an empty slot (its an old drive out of my prior computer which has stuff on it that I want to get), hooked it up and started the computer and now it won't load windows, its not the bootable drive either, the windows logo shows up and it just sits there, granted I didn't wait 20mins or something but why would it stall. I did a hard power off and tried to launch safe mode startup repair and nothing, the green bar just keeps moving across but nothing ever loads? or is it supposed to take forever Should I just take the drive out and get an external enclosure like I originally planned or have I now screwed up the main drive and windows?
I am having a heck of a time with my new hardware. I finally got my new motherboard and CPU installed. I'm afraid I don't have the info in front of me, but I believe the motherboard is an MSI Military Grade III or something like that, and the CPU I wanna say is an A10 5800k or something like that. It's a quad-core, 3.88GHz.
Before I changed everything out, everything worked fine. I obviously knew that it wasn't going to just work right away. But this is a little ridiculous. After a while of troubleshooting, I have figured out that it keeps getting stuck on trying to load the old video card driver, doesn't find it, craps itself, and then restarts. I have a CD with all the new drivers on it, but I can't get into any form of Windows to actually install it. All of the boot menu options do the same thing. Unlike every single previous version of Windows that have an option to do a basic VGA driver boot, all of the options in this menu appear to use the driver that you have installed. So apparently, if your video driver is bad, you are boned.
It really shouldn't just be constantly rebooting like this. When I get a chance, I'm going to try and put in the old card and see if it will recognize it, because I just now thought of that as of this typing and it would definitely be worth a try..
I turned on my computer and it says windows is unable to load it then it started to show start up repair and says the system is checking for problems. Idk wat to do, I was on it about an hour ago and it was just fine, but when I tried to turn in on this came up.
Unfortunately this time things didn't go back to normal. I was informed that the video card had failed and windows had recovered. The computer shut down by itself afterwards, which is something I had not seen when this happens. I can not get the computer to come back now, in normal start up or in any of the safe modes. When I start the computer now I get this:
POST beep BIOS screen Loading Operating system Windows error recovery (with booting options) The four little dots that come together to form the window with starting windows underneath it. The screen then goes black I get my cursor arrow and it remains that way until I get pissed and shut it down.
Here is a link to what I see on the screen sometimes, fortunately it happened as I was tying this up, I recorded it with my phone.

Whenever I start,it does the usual windows sign, but then its black screen.I can hear starting music but a black screen. My login is set to auto,so no point showing the login screen as well.
Last night it was working perfect, have not done anything unusual, not downloaded any software or torrent, yet the problem is here.Mind you I am writing this on safe mode..seems as though it loads perfectly well on safe mode.
I did the windows repair thingy, but still black screen and no background music this time.
It loads fine but I wonder why doesn't the come up when it's booting up. It just stays there black. Is it because I have reinstalled my operating system way too many times? Because it's been like this since whenever I reinstalled it. Not a big deal but I'm just curious as of why. My windows is activated, btw.
i have a hp mini 110-3000 notebook and today it decided that it would get to the windows loading screen and freeze or reboot, I've tried to re-install it and it gets to the "install now" page after i select the languages and click install, it gets to the "set up is starting" page and the courser starts spinning and stays like that for hours on end
