When I go to an album folder from my computer, highlight all the songs, then go to right-click and play. Problem: If I highlight more than 15 to play, instead of 'Open' (which opens MediaMonkey, as that's the program I've chosen for these types of files)...it says "Add to Windows Media Player list".

It's something I thought could be useful for some people You know how you can shift+right click on items in windows explorer to get added options? Well, the same command works on jump lists, except with some useful added functionality.I remember at least one forum member having mentioned that the reason they misses quicklaunch is that they could drag and drop files onto an app to open said files with said app. Well, although this doesn't completely cover that problem, as you have to use the keyboard, it sure does help.Lets say you have 10 images you want to edit in a program, but you dont feel like opening up the program and then searching for the files, because you already have the folder with the files open in explorer. Normally, if you right click on the item in a jumplist that represents the application itself, you only get a tiny context menu with 3 or four options. I was messing around and saw that if you hold shift while you right click, you will get a full host of options like one might when browsing in windows explorer. So if I want to edit those ten images in GIMP for example, I can select the images, right click and press copy, open the jumplist for GIMP, and hold down on shift while I right click on the GIMP program in the jumplist. Now the right click menu gives me the option to Paste, so I select paste, and voila, my 10 images open in GIMP.

View 3 Replies View Relatedhow to disable those jump lists, now we all know about the Right-Click ones, but there is other type witch i want to disable completely - the Left mouse click jump lists - it happen when you left clicking more then 1 second and sort of drag it up without the purpose to it. im using 7 Taskber Tweaker witch doing the job for the right click only but not the left (left just for Grouped button - but its not what i talking about here) there is no just left option.
P.S. - ive seen that those lists that im talking about often called "Lists Mode" i think, and presist also in any theme and are left click & drag based. there is got to be a solution for that.

Basically the problem is that after installing some programs, the "All Programs" list in the start menu disappears and is just blank. At the time I thought the problem was only with MyDefrag but today I installed the microsoft Intellitype 6.1 software for my keyboard and the same thing happened. Has anyone else had a similar problem.

Some times when typing it will pop up i escape out then go on to continue writing but it just comes back! It's extremely annoying and i can figure out what is causing it. I'm currently using a desktop machine with Windows 7 home premium 62 bit, and i have tried more than once unplugging my mouse and plugging it back in. View 1 Replies View RelatedA few minutes ago I highlighted a URL, right clicked in order to copy and the right click context menu did not open.
Unfortunately one cannot use Edit/Copy in the command bar for a URL.
I then attempted to copy random text from a web page and again no right click context menu. I was able to copy the text using Edit/Copy. I can also use Edit/Copy in notepad.
I also discovered that I have no right click context menu at all. I tried right clicking on the taskbar, the desktop, desktop icons, and in an empty space in my top command bars. Next I tried to copy the URL using SeaMonkey. Didn't work.
It worked earlier today. I have made no changes to anything that would cause this to happen. I really need the context menu. How do I get it back?
edit to add: I uninstalled the software for my mouse, reinstalled, didn't cure the problem. I did a google search and found an article by Microsoft which I followed but did not resolve the issue.
The red x icon for the close window option is cut off. Using stock skin. Probably easier to understand if you see a pic, What's caused this and how can I fix it?

Right click + W + F = new folder.Right click + W + T = new text doc.I just noticed however, that in the right click menu, the shortcut letters aren't underlined anymore like they were in older versions.for example, New used to be written New. For me this is not a huge deal since I already know most of them but why would MS intentionally remove a helpful feature like that (especially while leaving the functionality in)? A new user will have no way of knowing that shortcut exists without seeing the underlined letters.The only reason I'm noticing now, after so long, is because I'm learning Ubuntu/Linux and noticed they do have the underlined letters in their GUI, and then coming back to Win I noticed they don't.

Now there is a weird little "box" that pops up instead of a menu, and I have to move my mouse significantly further to get to "close." Sounds trivial, but if I am shutting down several applications in a row it is much slower this way.

After I got through and did a clean install of Windows 7, I went and did all of my customizations, and I tried to modify the right-click menu using registry edits that I found online. I've been running this system just fine until recently when this problem with the right-click menu started. Actually, it is a problem specific to the "New" portion of the right-click menu in Windows Explorer. I can right-click a blank portion of an Explorer window and I get the usual instant pop-out menu; but, if I click "New", it takes a full ten seconds to respond. For ten seconds, it is as though I didn't click at all, then the "New" nested menu appears and everything works as normal. If I impatiently click several times in a row during that ten seconds (on "New"), everything grays for the rest of the ten seconds, then the Windows Desktop redraws completely and I have to start over again trying to use the "New" menu.
I have read several threads in different forums regarding different types of issues with right clicking in Win 7 x64. My issue is when right clicking on folders/files within the Window Explorer. Below is my set up:
Win 7 Ultimate (64) - SP1 Build 7601
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800 (2.47Ghz dual core)
Asus AV8 Deluxe
4GB ram
Nvidia GeForce FX 5200 (Driver 96.85)
I am logged in as Administrator by default. I did not have this issue before.I only have the following installed (in order of installation):Office 2007 / IE / Firefox / MS Security Essentials / Spyware Doctor / Malwarebytes / Adobe Master Collection CS4 / AVS4You Suite / WinRAR / VLC player / Picasa / Orbit Down Loader / Mp3tag / and Rocketdock with Stack docklet
Issue:I can right click on the desktop, desktop icons, task bar, and start menu with no problems (including inside the start menu). As an example - if a go to the start menu and left click on My Computer, the Windows Explorer will open as normal (displaying all my drives). At this level I can right click on my drives and the menu pops up with no problems. But as a further example - if I left click on my C: drive, in order to go into the next level in Windows Explorer, I will see the folder/files inside the C: drive (like normal). But at this point (or further levels), if I right click on any folders or files - the menu will pop up so fast (like a split second flash) and go away. It does not give me the chance to do anything. And after this split second flash, the Windows Explorer goes back to the previous level (as if I hit the Back button).
It does not matter how deep I navigate into the folder structure (anything past the first level - where the Drives are displayed) - as soon as I right click, the same "flash" happens. Including the backing up of a level each time I right click, until I end up back at my Drives again. Yet if I were to copy-n-move any folder/file to the desk top level, then I can right click like normal (even though within the Windows Explorer I could not).Is this a Security/Permission setting? Or is this a corrupted Context Menu issue (inside one of the registry levels)?
Here's what I want to do: I probably type my email address 50 times a day (kind of long address) to log in to email, online shopping log in, forums, etc. Is there any way to simply click in the box where it wants my email address and do a right click (or something quick like that) and be able to create a selection list with email addresses or login names and I simlply just click on it to fill in the email address/login field?It doesn't have to be exactly that method, I'm just looking for some way to keep my email address on a permanant clipboard so I can just select it or do a keyboard shortcut to fill in email address fieldAnyone have any ideas? Seems like a fairly simple request so I have to believe there is someway to do this.
