Intel Mobile 4 Series Graphics
I have removed the battery, held the power for 30 seconds and then connected just the mains and the problems remains. I have removed the Heat Sink and cleaned out the dust and replaced I have tried another RAM chip I have tried another HDD
The only other thing I can think of is to remove the BIOS battery
I have just upgraded from Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional to take advantage of Virtual PC but I notice that when using the new W7 professional, there is a lot of web content missing from the display when browsing. e.g on the Yahoo home page, only the central section is displayed, the two side sections are completely missing. Even the submit button is missing from this page! How I can see the full content of a display? (It is ok in Virtual PC running XP).

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been having problems with artifacts (sprinkled dots and rainbow-ish shapes) popping up on my screen whenever I put my laptop to any more demanding use, like games, videos, hi-res images, etc. This leads to the system hanging up, repeated "Driver stopped responding and recovered errors", and eventually a blue screen. If I shutdown my computer and restart it, it tends to go away for a few days before returning to normal. I ran the Furmark stress test and it immediately caused the above symptoms and I had to stop it. I'm aware that this kind of problem may have several possible causes. I'm hoping maybe someone with a similar system (see my system specs) has overcome this.Edit: Wow, great timing. I was just trying to play Osmos just now and I got an error message I never noticed before. The game froze up and the "driver stopped responding" message came up but this time I got an Nvidia Open GL error that said "The NVIDIA OpenGL driver lost connection with the display driver and is unable to continue. The application must close. [URL]
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there any negative impact to purchasing a laptop with Windows 7 Professional vs. Windows 7 Home? I am purhcasing a new laptop and would prefer if I could to have the "Home" version of the Operating System (this is what I have on my current laptop now);however, many of the Black Friday deals are for pre-built models that already have the "Professional" version installed.Just wondering if there is any negative impact with a laptop that will be for personal non-professional use that has the "Professional" operating system.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Windows 7 Desktop mainly used as a server to store files and I have a Windows 7 Laptop used to mainly access and store files to the desktop. I do not use home groups because I find that work groups work better for what I am doing. I have researched hours and hours on forums and goggling troubleshooting tips but I can not find one thing that will fix my problem. So here it is.My laptop can see, view and access my desktop no problem. It shows up on the network and also sees the media devices on it. I can ping and view and alsp remote to desktop. So this is working as expected. My desktop however cannot see my laptop on the network. I can ping and view laptop by ip address though. I can also see the laptop as a media device. I just cannot see the laptop as a computer on the network.I have renamed work-group, reconfigured windows firewall, disabled windows firewall, and pretty much done everything basic and also some minor registry changed but converted back because problem did not fix.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a little while ago build up my pc,
and bought a new system development package of win. vista home premium 64 bit.
with in my foresight i had the new 7 totally for free.
Then i got my win 7 home premium, formatted my system and installed the upgrade just fine as a clean installation.
But in home premium are some features you have in the ultimate or professional version disabled, and some of these features i just want to use.
now i do the education on school for IT, and my school has given me a msdnaa account.
Now on that msndnaa account where i can download windows 7 professional.
My question is:
Now i want to install the home premium on my laptop, and the on my pc
can i install the home premium which is of course already activated on my pc, can i install it on my laptop. i don't need a explanation of how i install a os, cause i already know such things.
How can i get a free base system device driver for my laptop hp pavilion dv6000 operating with wiindow7 ?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an Acer Aspire 7741z-4433 with an Intel(R) Pentium(R) p6200 (2.13 GHz, 3MB 1.3 cache). This only happens to me while I am playing The Sims 3. I have the game set on the lowest quality settings, even though my laptop "claims" to be HD LED, etc. This issue still happens. As you may know I cannot replace the graphics card as it is apart of the motherboard, and to buy a new motherboard with a better graphics card would cost more than a new computer. I have been the my manufacture's website and tried installing an update of the graphics card, and that didn't do the trick either. I am at my wits end, and I just want to play the game without it shutting down and freezing my computer. The reason I know the error is because I do Alt + Tab to get back to the desktop. The way it acts up while I am in game is the screen blacks out but I can still see the software's mouse, and then it blinks a couple times and then freezes completely?
