I have an HP Photosmart Plus B209a-m and have been trying to install the driver on my computer. I have Windows 7 32 bit. I have the installation CD, but that doesn't seem to do anything. I have gone to the HP Customer Care site and tried to install the driver for x32, but my cpu does not show the printer and the device that was added says it needs troubleshooting (which doesn't work). Another computer in the house has a 64 bit system and installed it without any problems. I want to be able to scan wirelessly. What more can I do!?
i got the printer HP photosmart C4380. wonder if anyone know if there is a way to install it in Windows 7 ( i use build 7229 ) with HP´s software, i know windows 7 install´s it fine on it own, but i would like to use hp´s software.
i am hoping some body can help we have a hp photosmart c5180 printer and ever since i have installed windows 7 all the pics are coming out darker than the picture .

My HP Photosmart 7600 series printer won't install or work at all in Windows 7. No updated drivers available. I just love this printer. Nothing wrong with it and it prints beautifully. Since this is a beta OS, is it a possibility that later down the road, drivers might be availablle? This HP printer is a 2003 model, but perfectly good. Newer ones are too expensive in this horrible economy.
I am running Windows 7 RC 64 bit & 32 bit (on separate machines) and am very pleased with the performance compared with Vista. I successfully installed my HP 2610 All in One printer using the latest HP software available (for Vista) and everything works fine, including the scanner. However, every time I start my computer, Windows informs me it is installing Device Driver’, but after a few seconds it then informs me that “Device Driver Software was Not Successfully Installed, (this applies to the HP 2610 Printer). It happens every time I start Windows 7 and is the same on 64 bit & 32 bit installations. How can I stop Windows trying to install the device driver? (as a printer, it does not show in the device driver list).
When I turn my printer on, a window pops up requesting that I download the appropriate driver. I click on the button, it takes me to Hp's website, my OS options are Win Vista, Win XP, and Win 2000 (?!). I have tried all three. It downloads, then I open the file and I get the original window (must download driver)!!! AGH! Has anyone found a solution, short of reverting back to Vista?
Running Windows 7 RTM 64 bit and looking for drivers or some guidance on drivers for HP 7960. I have tried the vista 64 bit driver from HP for the 7960 printer and while the driver installs without error, still cannot get it to print.
I had trouble using the xp64 driver and did not want to download and install the full (huge) vista 64 driver package for this all in one printer. I tried to add printer but there was not an Photosmart 2570 series to pick from the windows driver list. So I tried the available 2600 series driver and some what to my surprise the 2600 series driver works..
I'm having trouble installing a driver for this printer. I've tried to run the setup file I obtained from HP in any type of compatibility mode and it still won't go into the setup mode for the driver. Any suggestions?
I am in terrible trouble with drivers for an HP C 7280 Photosmart All in One.
The device has been working perfectly well under Windows 7 build 7000, and more lately with 7057 upgrade.
Starting with some unexplained problem in printing I tried to reinstall the driver-I had a file sitting in my Downloads file. BIG MISTAKE!. It found that the installation I had was incompatible and said it would remove these elements (or something similar).
Net result is that now Windows won't/can't recognize the printer when it i plugged in (USB), won't allow any other HP driver to install (doesn't recognize Windows 7 OS) and in some way I don't understand had the effect of slowing my system down to less than a crawl -(it took a good 10 minutes to reboot)-windows were appearing slowly like ghosts (so the nVidia GeoForce card was affected).
Eventually I was forced to a system restore. I removed all of the HP files from the system I could. Rebooting was again a 10 minute job, etc. Eventually I did another system restore to an even earlier time, and at leas the system is working sufficiently for me to send off this plea for help from anyone.
How can a printer driver wreak such havoc on a system?
I upgraded my laptop from Vista to Windows 7. I'm on a wireless network and tried to print onto my HP Photosmart c6180 and it didnt' work. So I figured I would go to HP's website to see if there was an additional patch to download and sure enough there was. But it still didn't print.
Long story short, I uninstalled and then went to HP's website to reinstall for Windows 7. The file name was: AIO_CDA_FSW_Full_Win_WW_130_140.exe(1/1 , 290.27M).
I kept getting "timed out" errors from their website during the download process so after a few tries, I ended up calling HP's tech support to ask why their version for Windows 7 was not working? They told me that my printer was not compatible with Windows 7 yet it simply was available on for download on their website. What gives? Can anyone please help me to get my new Windows 7 to work with my printer?
I got the Vista 64-bit drivers for my printer, but when it ask whether I wanted to connect via USB or network, and I clicked network, it just kept re-opening. It presume it is having difficulties connecting to the printer. Any good drivers you can recommend that might work? I am running 7 in 64-bit.
I tried to install the HP driver for a Photosmart 3210 all-in-one printer (Vista 64 bit version) and it worked with the compatibility mode.
Now the printer/scanner works, but everytime I boot it will try to update the driver, then it fails and tell me that the driver could not be installed. What should I do?
I began to add programs and printers and when I added my HP Photosmart 2575 and then its Vista drivers. I then made another backup of the what I had added to that point. I now get a 9F stop on shutting down after I have done something with the printer as simple as printing a page.
I restored to the original installation and added the Photosmart using only the RC's driver. All is well under that setup and would like to go back to the second backup and uninstall the Vista drivers and use the RC's drivers but can't find any way to roll back the driver to RC one. If I try 'New Driver', the system seems only to find the Vista driver.
How can I delete the Vista driver from my system so that I have only the RC drivers?
I am trying to install a new HP printer and I get the following error message. Windows cannot find C:UsersSandyAppDataLocalTemp7zS3FF3HP-DQEXS.exe, I can find one called Sandy-PCUsers
I have problem installing driver for my HP Photosmart 7550 printer.
I do everything that is told on the official HP website - Installing and Configuring an Alternate Driver in Windows Vista HP Photosmart 7550 Printer - HP Customer Care (United States - English)
I can't do the following that is told in this guide in step 2:
"9. After a message appears on the computer that the product was added successfully, connect the USB cable to the product and to the computer.
10. On the Found New Hardware screen, click Cancel".
In other words this found new hardware pop-up appears but there is no way to cancel it in windows 7. It always installs drivers by its own and I can't interrupt this process!
However I have no problem actually getting the printer to work and even print the test page.
But I have this thing in the Control Panel -> Printers section (screenshot).
I tried many times to remove all drivers for my printer and printer itself, but every time I plug it to my PC found new hardware appears and installs its own drivers... How can I stop it from doing this because actually this printer is already installed in my system and works flawlessly.
I am running on my new HP Pavilion ds6 and need this driver if it exists.HP e-mail support advised to create a new driver using the properties fora HP Deskjet 970cse but that did not work for me
I could not print with my HP photosmart on windows 7. HP have a driver now, so I plugged in the printer and started trouble shoot, it fixed it, and now I can print directly onto DVD CDs. I had previously asked HP to let me know when a driver was available, but they have not.
All of sudden my printer will no longer print from computer but will print from printer. Have run HP Print Doctor 3 times and each time it says "Everything checks out OK ". My network is working. It seems to be holding printing in queue. Only thing I can think of is that I recently put two new ink cartridges in. Have taken them out and put them back in several times and they seem to be OK. I am running Windows 7 Home Edition 62 bit. Have tried turning off AVG to see if that is interfering and it doesn't seem to make a difference-still won't print.
