Printer Driver For HP Laserjet 1000?
Jul 24, 2010My win 7 machine having crashed yet again and had a trip to the repairers, I have lost the driver, which I remember spending about a month to try and get it going, as HP no longer supports this perfectly good laser. I see no reason to junk a perfectly good printer ( especially as I still have thrre new toner cartridges - not cheap!)

Dec 22, 2009This printer is about 5 years old. It is perfect for my needs, but HP will not issue a Win 7 driver for it. I REALLY don't want to buy another . I have been given lots of advice, and tried all sorts of options. Once I did actually manage to print something.
The printer is a hybrid: parallel port connector with a USB connector coming out of it.
Please can someone advise me how to get this going?

Jun 22, 2011I am missing well over 1000 files. A good deal of those are .gif files. When I go to the child folder they were in, it is empty as are all the child folders. When I use Windows Search to search the parent folder for *.gif, the results show 1000 of the files in the child folder they were in. They appear with the Irfanview icon, which is the default viewer and a .gif extension. They are way too small, < 1 kb. Irfanview cant open them, "...cant read the file header. unknown file format or file not found." I admit Im fried enough to have some how, possibly, maybe deleted a whole folder while doing a clean up, but it is still there and I cant possibly imagine selecting that many files and doing anything with all of them

Two Of Games Crash -Event ID 1000?
Sep 26, 2011I've been having issues with two of my games, Hearts of Iron II and Civilization V.earts of Iron will play for a couple 'days' or a couple months before crashing. While Civ V could play for a while or crash instantly depending on what I select. I checked the Event logs for these crashes to get these[CODE]Now I've run some tests on my memory and it seems everything is physically.I ran some registry fixes that claimed to fix things, but didn't resolve anything. I uninstalled and re-installed the video driver.I've tried uninstalling and then re installing the games themselves. It should probably be noted I just recently installed a harddrive and this problem has only been since then. My current suspicion is that something is messing with my CPU usage and these two strategy games are burning through the memory for some reason

USB connected 3G/4G internet connectivity when wired lan fails.I have 3 PCs with gigabit Ethernet on board. The fourth one has a 100 mbps Ethernet.Now the question is this. Do all the connected PCs have to have Gigabit Ethernet capabilities to get such speeds or should I get this high speed connectivity between complying PCs?For large file transfers I used to get around 11 to 12 MB transfer rate with a 10/100 ZTE modem /switch / router. This is like saturated 100 mbps connectivity. I am not getting anything close to this with the new router.

Windows 7 picked up the headset fine and everything has been working "straight out of the box".
I only had to change the name of the device in audio properties to distinguish between speakers and headset. Mic has worked perfectly and sounds fine with no adjustments. (Tested on ventrillo)
The only thing drivers/package seems to offer is changing EQ settings or various "technologies" available which im not interested in.
or is there something else i'm missing which I would need the drivers for?
F1 2011 Game Crash Event Id 1000?
Sep 16, 2012i was playing f1 2011 and then it suddenly froze. i had to press alt+f4 to close the game. looked at the event viewer and there was event id 1000. then i again started the game. it again froze after some time. the same error message. today i have been playing since morning and everything is working fine.
