HP 6100 Photosmart Printer Shows Offline After MS Update?
Sep 19, 2011
My wife has Windows 7 on her computer.( Am a Linuxuser myself). We have an HP Photosmart 6100 (wireless) networkprinter. After each update fromWindows Update, the printer shows offline. Until now the only cure is to remove the printer and to recreate/add.I have no problems on my PC.The other PCs with WindowsXP have no problems also
so I have a hp a910 printer connected directly via ethernet to my router. The printer shows up in my Devices & Printers, as a HP a910 network, and I have it set as my default printer. However if i go to print lets say from Word or really any application, and I print to my default it won't print, as the HP a910 shows up as offline. But if I select the "plain" HP a910 from the printer drop down menu, it will print. Why is this, and is there a way to have the "plain" HP a910 as my default printer?
My HP Photosmart 7600 series printer won't install or work at all in Windows 7. No updated drivers available. I just love this printer. Nothing wrong with it and it prints beautifully. Since this is a beta OS, is it a possibility that later down the road, drivers might be availablle? This HP printer is a 2003 model, but perfectly good. Newer ones are too expensive in this horrible economy.
I'm having trouble installing a driver for this printer. I've tried to run the setup file I obtained from HP in any type of compatibility mode and it still won't go into the setup mode for the driver. Any suggestions?
I began to add programs and printers and when I added my HP Photosmart 2575 and then its Vista drivers. I then made another backup of the what I had added to that point. I now get a 9F stop on shutting down after I have done something with the printer as simple as printing a page.
I restored to the original installation and added the Photosmart using only the RC's driver. All is well under that setup and would like to go back to the second backup and uninstall the Vista drivers and use the RC's drivers but can't find any way to roll back the driver to RC one. If I try 'New Driver', the system seems only to find the Vista driver.
How can I delete the Vista driver from my system so that I have only the RC drivers?
I could not print with my HP photosmart on windows 7. HP have a driver now, so I plugged in the printer and started trouble shoot, it fixed it, and now I can print directly onto DVD CDs. I had previously asked HP to let me know when a driver was available, but they have not.
My HP Photosmart C6150 printer is hooked up to our computers via wireless connection to the Linksys router. After adding the printer to either of our Windows 7 computers, we can only print for about 24 hours before the printer goes offline and will not print any documents in queue. How do I make it so the printer stays connected to the computer for more than a day or so? Here's the specs of our computers:

Looking for Windows 7 third party printer driver for HP Photosmart 1000. HP doesn't offer it.Sad companies force consumers to buy products they really don,t need.
I've been using the Hp 4100MFP Laserjet printer for almost a year. Several days ago, it stopped printing from my computer. I have reinstalled the drivers and no change. My admin can still print to it. I am using Windows Ultimate and when I go to the printer windo, it shows the printer offline. But I have not found a wat to put the printer back online.
I have a Windows 7 64-bit machine with a wireless Epson NX510 printer. After restarting the PC, the printer will not come back online.I have to remove the printer, delete the printer port, and then add the printer back (printer is installed as a local printer using the EpsonNet Printer Port).Printer then works fine until the next time I restart the PC.
I have an HP F4580 wireless printer connected to a D Link router and a Toshiba Satellite L500 laptop wirelessly. My problem is that the printer goes offline after about 20 minutes and can only be brought back online by switching the printer off for 10 seconds and switching back on where it goes offline again ater 20 minutes. The 'always available' tag is selected.
my printer which i use on the network shows offline status to some PCs while others print fine the host PC is on Win7 and the PCs showing offline status are also on Win7
Have deleted all printers, all drivers and am trying to reinstall HP OfficeJet PRO 8000 (series). One desktop, Win7, prints OK. Second desktop, XP SP3, will not print (print queue lists several documents, first one w/ "error".
I have a 2 computers connected using a Cisco router and ethernet cables. one of them has a printer connected via USB and this printer is sharerd. Both of them running Win 7 Professional 32-bit OS. I can connect to the shared printer from the 2nd machine, but after a restart, the same printer appears offline.I have to go to My Network Places, click on the 1st PC's icon and then right-click the printer and click Connect. This re-establishes the connection.Though this method serves my purpose, I want to get to the bottom of this. Why does the printer show offline each time I restart?
I have a wireless printer installed and am running my laptop with Windows 7. Everytime I reboot the laptop, it fails to find the printer and marks it as offline. Sometimes I can restore it by deleting and then re-adding the printer from the control panel. The printer is a new HP wireless model, and I have installed the driver successfully, I should not have to re-install this everytime. Is this a Windows 7 issue
