Networked Printer Always Shows Up As Offline Have To Select Other
Oct 21, 2012
so I have a hp a910 printer connected directly via ethernet to my router. The printer shows up in my Devices & Printers, as a HP a910 network, and I have it set as my default printer. However if i go to print lets say from Word or really any application, and I print to my default it won't print, as the HP a910 shows up as offline. But if I select the "plain" HP a910 from the printer drop down menu, it will print. Why is this, and is there a way to have the "plain" HP a910 as my default printer?
My wife has Windows 7 on her computer.( Am a Linuxuser myself). We have an HP Photosmart 6100 (wireless) networkprinter. After each update fromWindows Update, the printer shows offline. Until now the only cure is to remove the printer and to recreate/add.I have no problems on my PC.The other PCs with WindowsXP have no problems also
I am a student worker and I am having a problem with a small project that I'm working on. I have a user that wants one of our computer labs to have his networked printer added into the list of available printers. The Printer is a Brother HL-5250DN, and I already have the .inf driver. I have written a script but it does not seem to work. I am replacing the printers IP address with a generic loopback.
Computer #1 - Dual boots with XP Pro SP3 and Windows 7 RC1 7100 with Konica Monolta 2400W printer attached via USB and shared.
Computer #2 - Windows XP Pro SP3.
Computer #2 Sucessfully installed networked printer and prints normally when Computer #1 is booted to XP. When computer #1 is booted to Windows 7 it automatically detects and installs networked printer once network was correctly setup but gets error message when trying to print.
I have a Windows 7 x64 RC.7100 build installed and have configured my HP printer using Vista x64 drivers, it prints locally just fine. However I tried to setup printer sharing with my x32 Windows XP laptop and have an issue that is really a pain. Whenever I print from the XP machine I get the print job in the queue on the Win 7 machine, but it just says printing for an infinite amount of time. I have to either restart my Windows 7 machine or go into Services and Print Spooling and Restart Service for the print job to complete. I found a similar error/problem with Vista but all of the suggestions did not help. The only thing I can think of is that there is some driver incompatibility, but HP states on their website that they wont have "official drivers" for Windows 7 until Oct 22.
My Brother HL 5250DN networked printer causes HP A6152N PC to crash when anyone on my Home Network sends a print job to the printer, including me. No BSOD, screen goes blank and starts the reboot process. Original OS was Vista when problem started a year ago, upgraded to Win 7 Ultimate x86 but still having same problem.
I've been using the Hp 4100MFP Laserjet printer for almost a year. Several days ago, it stopped printing from my computer. I have reinstalled the drivers and no change. My admin can still print to it. I am using Windows Ultimate and when I go to the printer windo, it shows the printer offline. But I have not found a wat to put the printer back online.
I have a Windows 7 64-bit machine with a wireless Epson NX510 printer. After restarting the PC, the printer will not come back online.I have to remove the printer, delete the printer port, and then add the printer back (printer is installed as a local printer using the EpsonNet Printer Port).Printer then works fine until the next time I restart the PC.
I have an HP F4580 wireless printer connected to a D Link router and a Toshiba Satellite L500 laptop wirelessly. My problem is that the printer goes offline after about 20 minutes and can only be brought back online by switching the printer off for 10 seconds and switching back on where it goes offline again ater 20 minutes. The 'always available' tag is selected.
my printer which i use on the network shows offline status to some PCs while others print fine the host PC is on Win7 and the PCs showing offline status are also on Win7
Have deleted all printers, all drivers and am trying to reinstall HP OfficeJet PRO 8000 (series). One desktop, Win7, prints OK. Second desktop, XP SP3, will not print (print queue lists several documents, first one w/ "error".
I have a 2 computers connected using a Cisco router and ethernet cables. one of them has a printer connected via USB and this printer is sharerd. Both of them running Win 7 Professional 32-bit OS. I can connect to the shared printer from the 2nd machine, but after a restart, the same printer appears offline.I have to go to My Network Places, click on the 1st PC's icon and then right-click the printer and click Connect. This re-establishes the connection.Though this method serves my purpose, I want to get to the bottom of this. Why does the printer show offline each time I restart?
I have a wireless printer installed and am running my laptop with Windows 7. Everytime I reboot the laptop, it fails to find the printer and marks it as offline. Sometimes I can restore it by deleting and then re-adding the printer from the control panel. The printer is a new HP wireless model, and I have installed the driver successfully, I should not have to re-install this everytime. Is this a Windows 7 issue
I am running WIN7 64 Bit, BT wireless hub. Have added a laptop (also running WIN7 64 bit) to home network and set up HP Photosmart Premium 309g printer as 'wireless'. It works a treat with the laptop but my desktop computer tells me the printer is off line.
This morning tried to print on shared printer connected to another computer via home network. The computer with printer connected was not powered. After powering up Win 7 computer still shows printer as being offline. how to fix this?
All of a sudden mylaptop will not print to my HP 7200 series printer. It says offline. My desk top works fine. I have reooted everything......What else is there to get it back......
