View 2 Replies View RelatedI installed a new motherboard an asus p8p67 with a intel i3 and upgraded to windows 7 64bit. Everything went fine the first day, but next day everything kept telling me to install flash player which I already did that along with java. I went to control panel flash player was there hit update, says I had latest version. I uninstalled flash player went to adobe and downloaded it again, install process says I have the newest version already installed but I have no flash installed at this moment. The little bar at bottom keeps saying website wants to install following adobe flash player addon which is showing right now as I write this. I installed it at first with the default 32 bit internet explorer which is ie9 but now nothing seems to work and still have no flash player installed.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI can not open some programs in windows 7. This is a brand new Dell Laptop. I install all of these programs 4 days ago and they worked fine. Now when I try and open these same programs. I get the motion circular object as if the program is opening, however the programe never starts. If you click on the program again, each instance will appear in the task manager, but the program will not open. I have ran the compatiblity check on these apps.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI got windows 7 ultimate 32bit free from my school, and decided that I wanted to clean install, and not upgrade it. I transferred all my files off, booted the laptop up with the windows 7 disk, and proceeded to clean install. I didn't have the drivers cd for my laptop, but I just wiped my drive and installed 7 anyway. Now I have windows 7 ultimate 32bit, and can only use 3 of my 4 gigabytes of memory.. The thing I don't really understand is the whole upgrading option, and like, I know that it's a windows 7 32bit dvd, but it doesn't seem right to go from 64bit to 32bit. So is there anyway I can make it 64bit without having to buy a new dvd? And if not, how much am I missing out on, with not having 64bit, especially with having 4 gigabytes of ram?

I currently have an SSD installed with Windows 7, and I installed my games on an internal HDD. If I were to wipe my current SSD and install a Windows 7 on a NEW SSD, is there a way for me to transfer the games installed on the HDD to the SSD?
I'm not looking to clone Windows 7; I just want to transfer the games installed on the hard drive, to the new SSD with Windows 7. I've seen a lot of people posting about cloning the OS and such, but I'm not looking for that.
Firstly let me state that I know nothing about the inner workings of a PC although I consider myself to very familiar with using PCs.I have had to renew my PC hard drive as my 26month old one crashed. I now have a Dell Inspiron and to my dismay after it was set up and all files restored from my back up disk and I was ready to have a little time playing Solitaire - boring I know for all you gamers - but I like it. No preloaded games are available. The games folder is there but it is empty.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been using PSE 7 for a few years. I just bought PSE 11. The PSE 11instruction sheet said it is OK to have two versions installed at the same time. I installed PSE 11.I restarted the computer and Windows 7 wouldn't open. I tried a couple of times and then opened Windows 7 in Safe Mode. I used System Restore to eliminate PSE 11 and, and after a Windows 7 opened normally (with PSE 7 still installed).I uninstalled PSE 7 and restarted Windows 7 normally. I installed PSE 11 and Windows 7 would not open. In Safe Mode I uninstalled PSE 11 and reinstalled PSE7 and Windows 7 is opening normally now.Did I just waste a lot of money upgrading to PSE 11?Adobe Forums have not been able to provide an answer to this problem.

Had to power off to get out.Second time was logged off my admin account by nephew while installing, though the install ran for a long time - should have completed anyways, after installing, it's not showing anywhere: checked box for install desktop shortcut - not there, not showing up under win start> all programs or games.Tried to launch directly from install path folder... blackops.exe ERROR says: "Blinkw32.dll missing...
1) I never installed steam or anything, could that be the problem?(I'm on different pc now, game pc doesn't have internet right now
2) Can't uninstall! Not showing up as installed program. Uninstaller in game directory won't work. There are 2 uninstall.dll ( 1 for each failed install I guess)
2a) Windows didn't recognize as a program install cause no restore point created before (IS This because I changed install path away from C:programs???)In future how do I deal with installing games to d data partition and have system trat as program install? not listed as program, can't uninstall from control panel
2b) HOW DO I REMOVE FAILED INSTALLS (BOTH).Do I just delete or did the installer likely create all kinds of entries in various other locations that would possibly leave HUGE files elsewhere???

When introduced a CD Rom into the drive, it has all the autostart functions for movies, pics, documents, but instead of starting the games directly, It allways ask me to open the file, movies or pics, but the game never starts automatically as It used to do in the past Windows versions, and in Windows 7 BEFORE SP1. It's imposible to play games that require the insertion of the disc into the CD Rom Drive, for the same reason.Im running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and have a LG Super Multi RwDVD +R DL Light scribe multirecorder.
View 1 Replies View Relatedok so i have a problem thats been driving me insane. my toshiba F50 was working totally fine until suddenly during games my GPU started overheating quickly during games (Was not doing this before) i noticed that my fan didnt seem to be spinning as fast as before. i cleaned it still no avail, tried riva tuner and ntune and all of that jazz and all of them have the fan control options greyed out? (cannot use them)i noticed that when i start the laptop the POST test on the fans guns the fan to 100% speed so i know its capable of doing it. it seems like the fan doesnt know to speed up when it gets hot and it keeps shutting my system down and i reallllly dont feel like damaging my GPU. i tried rolling back my drivers and running the latest drivers.

View 0 Replies View RelatedI have a small network of six computers. Five of them run XP and I just added a Windows 7 machine. I've got a Microsoft Access 2003 database that all of the computers share that is hosted on one of the XP machines. The Windows 7 machine can access the Access database through the network just fine, as long as no one else is accessing it. However, if someone else on an XP machine on the network is using the file, it won't open on the Windows 7 machine. Doubling clicking the file on Windows 7 gives me the circling blue icon for a second or two, then nothing happens. If the XP user exits the database, then I can open it fine.
