I have Windows 7, HPrem, 32 bit, SP1 OS installed on an Intel D975XBX2 MoBo. The MoBo is beginning to fail. Intel no longer maintains or updates D975XBX2. I have ordered a new Intel MoBo D67BG. I want to reinstall my existing Windows 7 OS on the new MoBo. I have the key for the OS presently instlled on the failing D975XBX2.Will Microsoft allow me to install my existing OS on the new MoBo or will Microsoft require me to buy a new license? If Microsoft will allow me to transfer my existing OS to the new MoBo, what department (telephone number?) will I need to reach the right person/department?

Its been a little while since I've been here and I have a quick question about this new fangled Windows 7. I have it and Windows XP installed as a dual boot on my machine currently. However, I'm ready to get rid of XP entirely and switch to 7. I have a new SSD coming and I could just clone the drive but instead I was wondering about doing a fresh install on the new drive and just formatting the old one.
I bought the retail version of Win 7 Home Premium when it came out, and put it on my laptop.I'm now building a PC for my parents, and I was thinking about transferring the Win 7 install to the new PC.I still have the Vista for my laptop that it came with, but would probably want to keep Win 7 on it until i'm happy that the PC is working ok.Having never transferred licences between PCs? Will the two versions run concurrently (I know its a license for one, but i'd like to know what happens!) or will the 'old' version stop working correctly?
I upgrade my Vista OEM laptop a few months back to Windows 7 Home Premium using Windows 7 Home Premium upgrade edition, and would like to know if its possible to transfer that upgrade to my WinXP OEM desktop? Does the OEM editions of Windows affect the ability for a license transfer?
I bought Microsoft Outlook 2007 (Program on CD, unlimited Licenses) 2 years a go, and have installed it on my windows XP. However I recently bought a new Windows 7 Computer and want to install Outlook but I lost the CD, so is there any way that I can transfer the program/ license from my old computer onto the new one.
My OS is XP Pro 32-bit. Using Easy Transfer 32-bit saved selected files to external HD. After installing Win 7 64-bit, can I use the resident Easy Transfer to reapply/import the earlier saved files?
I am about to receive a new 64 bit computer soon i want to transfer some setup files I prepared for the new computer but i want to make sure that it will work..

I am wanting to transfer files from an HP laptop running windows 7 ultimate 64 bit to a new HP laptop running windows 7 home premium 32 bit.I have downloaded the files onto an external hard drive, but the 32 bit machine won't accept them.
Just thought I'd back up my data files one fine day. Used Windows easy transfer and transferred the files, intending to transfer them back after come comp maintenance. The next day the bloody computer crashed.Fortunately I had transferred the files to my transcend ext HDD. I tried to transfer the files from the Ext HDD to my laptop, and get the message - "Can't tx files from a 64-bit comp to a 32-bit comp."
My mom got her laptop from Best Buy, and it came with Geek Squad optimization. They made it so the C: drive is around 58GB, and the D: is the other GBs which add up to 500GB. She is practically out of room on her C: and the computer is almost unusable. I already deleted the D: partition, but the partition manager in Windows 7 won't let me extend the partition to fill up all of the space. The option to extend it is just grayed out.
I'm having trouble getting on my home wireless internet using my iPhone. My router is in the basement, and whenever I'm on the third floor, my laptop gets around 2 bars, but my iPhone can't pick up the signal. So is there any way that I can use my laptop as a second router to extend my wifi to my iPhone? I've tried third party programs like Virtual Router Manager, Connectify, Maryfi, but my iPhone (4S model) picks up the signal for like 20 seconds, and then the wifi just drops for 10 minutes, then picks it up again for like 20 seconds, then drops for like 10 minutes again, and on...) Is there any way that windows 7 can do it natively?
So I have 30Gigs on my Windows 7 Partition, which was fine for a while, but I want to use Windows 7 more extensively now so I wanted to extend my partition. I have looked at the tutorial posted in the tutorials, and its as simple as right-clicking the partition and clicking 'Extend Volume'. Well the problem is that no matter what I try, this option is always grayed out. Whenever I right-click any of my partitions, all of the options are available except for 'Extend Volume'. Am I missing a step here, or am I not doing something right?
I have a desktop pc with two monitors connected using a vga splitter. will it just keep mirroring or is their a way expand my desktop. I dont know to much about computers
I used XP Transfer Wizard to store my files (over 200GB) on external hard drive. Now I have Windows 7 machine and can't use them directly.I tried to use Virtual PC XP mode to import files but Virtual PC can only handle something around 136 GB virtual hard disk, so after 6 hours of transfer it stopped... I don't have the XP machine anymore - I'm stuck with Windows 7 and can't figure out how to move these files over..Is there a way to actually open all these Wizard IMGXXXXX.dat files and read them?
i want to extend the timing of my laptop so that is doesn't shut down even while i am not using the system . the main purpose is to keep the downloading on( torrent download ).I have seen this feature in control panel in other OS but i am not able to locate the same in windows 7 .
I want to use that 4.88 GB and allocate it into any of the 4 drives... but the extend volume option is grey and i cannot select it.. since the unallocated space is at the right of all drives i should be able to use it, right?
Running out of space and I'd like to extend my primary (C) partition to the next drive (D) but in computer management D is listed as "Page file, Logical drive" and it will not allow me to delete it.
Would moving page file from D to E partition allow me to extend C into D? If so, how do I move page file in Windows 7 to another partition?
If I can't do this in Windows natively does someone have a suggestion on 3rd party software?
which I am going to purchase. Sewell InjectIR, IR over HDMI for Remote Controls - SW-29660, $44.95. This is perfect because I am running a length of 40 hdmi cable. Now I need arecommendation for a remote for windows 7 media center control. My main goal, is to control movies to my bedroom, from my newly built htpc. I am am running Windows 7 64, and my C drive was 150GB, and the other drive was 450GB. I decided to extend or expand it by deleting one of the volumes. However, I have come across a speed bump while doing this. After deleting my unused partition which was 450GB, and right clicked on the C drive to extend, but the extend option is greyed out. The shrink volume seems to be clickable though.
