I have a completely new Lenovo X120e computer - yes my company bought the best (sarcasm). whenever I try to copy from excel and paste into another program the excel crashes. It just shuts down completely and trys to restart.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just changed out my President's XP-Pro to Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.We store all of our Word & Excel docs on a 6.5 Netware server.Yes it's old and out of date - but it cost money to change it. so.....I had no problems ever with XP but with Windows 7 when you open a Excel file it ive the old BSOD.It may not do it every time, sometimes I have to open, close a couple of times and then it happens.I have no other problems in connecting to the Netware server.BTW - I'm using the Novell Cient 2 SP2 for windows 7

There have even been instances whereby the "Pasting" part would be in black and when I click "Paste" nothing happens. On all other instances, the "Paste" feature is in grey.

I've already made sure that the Clipboard is checked in the RDP connection properties. I tried connecting as her on my machine, and the same thing happens. If I log out and then reconnect as me, copy/paste works. Should I have the remote admin take a look at his policy?

This makes me nuts as I have to do loads of this each day.In the glorious days of XP there was just the simple:"do you want to overwrite this?"[yes] [no]So with only one click for confirmation. Nothing I do seems to fix it, deleting cache, etc. So eventually, out of frustration I give up but it interrupts my productivity of course. Some time later in the future I find it is working again but i do not know how/why it starts or stops and it is most vexing and inconvenient.
It seems to happen periodically whether I am using my Windows 7 or my Mac Snow Leopard? I right click, select copy right click again select paste and ZIP, NADA? I will be forever grateful or at least for a very long time!

View 9 Replies View Relatedevery time i cut and paste a file/folder. i have to refresh explorer for the file/folder to disappear.example: i cut a file from folder A and paste in folder B. the file does get moved to folder B. However, i can still see the file in folder A, i need to refresh for it to go away.is there a way to fix this? is this normal?using windows 7 32bit (retail) fresh install.
View 4 Replies View RelatedAlright, this was my first time removing the current thermal paste and applying new one, the previous one was tough to remove because it was stone hard, although I didnt remove 100% of it i'd say I took out a good 70-80% of what was there.So when applying it, I hear some ppl say to put as much as the size of a bb just a small dot (this is for my laptop cpu and gpu) which I did, then evenly spread it around with the little spreader it came with. My cpu now gets hotter by 4-5c.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a new system with Win7 Pro. 64 Bit Sp1.I've found out that sometimes Win7 has problems with cut & Paste. At first I thought it was a problem with win7 security system but it doesn't seem to be the case as I don't get any message.When I want to move a file from one location to another, I cut and then go to the destination, click paste and nothing happens. No error message, just nothing. I try again but with the same result result. It seems that others have a similar problem, some have suggested that by Killing RDPCLIP.EXE and restarting it fixes the problem. But I don't have this .EXE in my task list, and some other people suggested some other way.This problem does not happen all the time but considering that my PC is only 3 days old and I have experienced this problem 3 times already, it seems unacceptable. This is not some small, obscure, rarely used function, this is Cut & Paste, who doesn't use it almost everyday?

I used to be able to do this in XP, but in Win7 when i paste I see many more asterisks than there are letters in the password I am trying to paste and the password is never accepted by the web page.
