I am having a problem with burning my movie I made using Windows live movie maker.I was so proud of myself,,made a movie with pictures from my sons variety show atchool along with some of the videos I took using my new Sony Bloogie video camera. When I clicked on burn to DVD it wanted me to save my moive to my files, and how I wanted to save it,,I clicked "with a CD/DVD player, which I did, then from there I went to my computer, clicked on my DVD RW drive (D),dragged the movie I wanted to burn, didn't take long. But it doesn't play on my DVD Player, it shows up as an error,,but does play on my laptop,,which is where I burned it on and so forth
I just purchased a dv7-1261wm and installed Windows 7. But in Device Manager, it shows 5 drivers that didn't install. There are 4 listed as "Base System Device" and 1 as "Unknown Device". I've installed all the drivers from HP's site, but that didn't help.
The main issue though is the CD/DVD/Blu-Ray Rom drive doesn't detect in any burning programs. It shows as installed fine, but burning programs can't access it.
I am trying to run a certain program and it worked previously for a few days, and then today all of the sudden its giving me this error. Is this a windows thing I can try and fix? Or is it program specific (this program doesnt have much support unfortunately)
Running 7068 currently.. Started up my computer, opened firefox and all my addons ran me through the FAQs on how to use them etc, ultramon forgot its registration key and my media player needed to re-run the library scan..
I did do a force shutdown, that may have triggered it..
I've been using TechTracker for years, but today I hit a wall with the VLC Player update from ver. 2.0.1 to ver. 2.0.2. I am using Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit system and have no problems with anything else. When the download from CNET ended, I got an error msg. saying the download failed. So, I opened up VLC Player, checked for updates, got the notice that a major update was available and downloaded it. When the download completed, VLC Player crashed and asked if I wanted to send in a crash report. I clicked on "Yes" and immediately got a new popup window saying that it failed to reach the FTP server.
i use windows media player 12 and i just did a back up of my mediaplayer songs but in the media player it says i have 1140 songs but when i use the backup feature in wmp12 and finish burning ,i checked all the songs on the dvds and it totaled 1135 , can some one tell me why this happened ? shoulndt there be 5 more songs ?
When I try to open Windows Media Player, I get this error:"The file wmplayer.exe has a version number of 11.0.6001.7000 where 12.0.7000.7000 was expected. Windows Media Player is not installed properly and must be reinstalled."If I follow the option to go to Microsoft's website, it takes me to a page where Windows Media 6.4 is available for Win95 and NT 4.0.
i was trying to open a video file then suddenly my computer got this media player error code C00D1199, now everytime i open any file (my computer, document and connecting to the internet) the media player open first then show this error again.
I have many BSOD with this computer while playing games, watching video with VLC,using bittorrent client. It's a custom built configuration. The exact line on the bluescreen is STOP: 0x0000000A (0x92C46604,0x00000002,0x000000001,0x82c80002)
i follow your tutorial and I preparate a zip folder with sf diagnostic tool. In my new sony vaio notebook vpcf2, just using it with different application opened (not always the same but usually: eclipse, sqldeveloper, vmware player, chrome, firefox, iexplorer) the pc shutdown with a BSOD.
I've got all my music in an external drive. When i configured bakups i selected that same external drive as destination to back up to.
Now, i added the music from that drive to windows media player and now, when the computer backs up, i've got this error telling me some files were omitted (namely all the music) because they're on the same drive as the backup's destination.
I'm going to use WMP because it's already there (regardless of there being a million better choices of media players/managers) so don't bother suggesting otherwise.
My question is: is there any special folder i should avoid backing up so this error doesn't happen? (like the one that contains WMP database)

I get error "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file."Do I, perhaps need to update the codecs, where from? Or does my player need some tweaks or repair?
I wanted to ask if it is possible to set Windows media player to open as the default player inside media center. The reason that I ask this is that I find media center sound is very low quality. I am using it inside windows 7 ultimate X64. I also use Media Browser and have set it to use media player as an external player but it loses some functionality after something is played I have to restart media center and media Browser to play anything again because it will go back to menus but not play anything untill
i brought a dvd i put that on my sony DAV-DZ340K dvd player but it can't playable on that but it's plays on onida dvd player please help me how can i play it on DAV-DZ340K.
I have excellent reviews of VLC from other people who have used it. I used it more the Windows Media Player or Media Center. I avoid Media Center all together for other reasons. But I have other video formats (.mkv, .mp4, .flv, .webm, .mov) and it seems like VLC can handle them all. Any one else have any other opinions or options for someone like me who uses multiple video file formats other than just .avi?
I have just bought a new Ivy bridge PC with a blu ray drive. I thought that it would be simply a matter of inserting the film blu ray and the same would run. However I believe that windows 7 does not support blu ray play function.in getting software which runs blu ray discs. If anyone has any experience of running such software, your comments will be gratefully received
I Can't find a flash player that works. everywhere I look it won't work. They say that it installs but when I go to a site that needs flash it doesn't work.
Why my HP G62 with a DVD drive will format CD-RW but not DVD-RW, and if so could they please tell me how to get it to do so? I got the title wrong - it should read format not finalize. I'm brand new to the forum and to computing.

I have tried several different players without much success. I have a 32 inch HDTV with my Radeon HD 4870 plugged into the tv via hdmi. Any suggestions?
I had to change out my HD and when I did that, I also changed my os to windows 7. I used to be able to use my cd/dvd player but since the upgrade, I can not use my cd/dvd player. I have to open it up manually with a paperclip, and I see there is power to the player but it doesn't play nor does my computer recognize the drive?
