I bought a new puter; it had windows 8. I downgraded and loaded on a clean start windows 7 (I think that's how techies refer to it "clean Start" ) In the process my puter now says no wireless hardware or driver detected. downloadable drivers or how well a stick of dynamight may work.

Anyway all the drivers work except Network. On Toshiba's website I saw 32/64 bit networking drivers and no Windows 7 network drivers at all. I am trying to find the manufacturer of the card to do it that way but no luck yet..

When I run Windows Update after installing Windows 7 it wants to download the "Intel driver update for Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2200 BG Network Connection" driver. After it is installed the computer locks up on boot up.
I tried to install the XP driver using xp compatibility mode "Intel 802.11a/g,g Mini-PCI Driver" which came on the laptop when I bought it and I get the same result.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Dell N5110 with a failed hard drive. I bought a new hard drive, reinstalled Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit. I then downloaded all the drivers from dell. I followed the Dell recommended install order. After all the drivers are loaded, I go to Device manager and it says I am missing a network controller driver and I am unable to access wireless. I press function + F2 and I can turn on the wireless, but I am unable to add a wireless network. I have tried numerous network drivers from the dell site - doing a win reinstall before trying a different driver, but none are working. I have reformatted the machine again (for the 5th time) and I have no drivers currently installed. Where do I go from here?

So when i go to Computer/Device manager i can see That i missing some drivers for Network Controller and PCI Simple communications controllers. View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a fairly new Toshiba Satellite P755 laptop and just started having an issue connecting to my Netgear wireless internet network since yesterday. The issue is that every time I turn on my laptop after it was off or hibernated my computer won't connect to my wireless network but I do see it available to connect to. When I try to connect it won't work unless I reset or unplug the router and plug it in again (Windows Diagnostic Tool says check router access points). Once I do that and wait a couple minutes I can connect to my network again. I have a Realtek RTL8188CE Wireless card and made sure my drivers were up to date. I have tried unchecking the option under Device Manager to not use it if the battery is low and that didn't work. I also tried to system restore and when I did that I got the following error: (0xc0000022) which says an unspecified error occurred and my files and settings were not changed. I have AVG Free 2013 and haven't made any new changes or updates recently.
