I upgraded a desktop and laptop from Vista Ultimate to Win 7 RC and have the same problem on both. I can't install programs, run msconfig, cmd, regedit, etc, because I receive a digital signature error that is supposedly related to a recent hardware or software change. I can't even edit the properties of the accounts because of this same error.
Interestingly enough on my laptop one account shows a blank programs list when you go to start-all programs, but on the other account they show up. I restored the desktop from my windows home server and will shortly do the same on the laptop if I can't figure out this problem.
what is "Programs digital signature"? According to my knowledge some security software categorize programs trustworthiness using program digital signature. How do program developer get digital signature? Why some programs not have digital signature?
I am trying to add a public digital signature in word but am unable to do so. when I try to protect the document and go into 'protect document' --- 'add a digital signature' and selct change to change the signature it only displays my local signature (myemail@company.com) I would like to use a different signature like a public or trusted signature.
I want to know if there are the digital signature with the Microsoft system files located on c:windowssystem32 directory, how to view their digital signature?
my comp all of a sudden reboots and the message i get is that windows failed to start because it cant verify the digital signature of CI.dll.Status: 0xc000042I do not have the installation disc. It is a dual booted computer with two identical windows 7 x64.I use dual boot to keep my Music Creation separated from my internet and gaming OS.
Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)

I've recently switched to Digital Audio (S/PDIF) (High Definition Audio Device) using one Toslink cable instead of all the analog wires going from my PC to my receiver. The digital sound is amazing, CD quality from my PC is great. However, I now also receive the digitized sound of pages being loaded as I surf the web. All sound comes out digitized when loading a new page.Is there a way to stop this from happening while listening to music or course material without gong back to analog? Can I have my digital CD quality and enjoy it too!
I went to the signature page i uploaded an image and in the textbox there was nowhere to insert the image that i uploaded it was just a black text box.
i wanted to play my pc games with my ps3 controller and from a tut i press to disable signature driver and now noting works on my pc i cant move my mouse i cant type on my keyboard
I have used a linux live cd to create an exact image copy of a 320gb hdd on an external HDD by doing:
root@ubuntu:/media/backup# dd if=/dev/sda of=2011-09-19.img bs=32256 9922896+0 records in 9922896+0 records out 320072933376 bytes (320 GB) copied, 8851.48 s, 36.2 MB/s
Windows 7 ultimate is installed on that HDD. I just want this image so if the hdd fails i can buy a new hdd and restore the image to the new hdd. However is there some disk signature problem if i do this? Because the new hdd would have a different disk signature from the one of the old hdd. I have read that this can cause an error message during boot along the lines of 'The boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible.'. Do i have to manually edit the MBR using a hex editor to match the new hdd? How do i even find the correct signature of the new hdd?
I have set up several outlook (2007) signatures and now they are gone. They are listed in the drop down menu when I click insert, signature; but when I select one, it does not appear in my e-mail. nothing does. I am not able to edit or delete them. I am able to create new ones but can't use the same name as the old ones, because a pop up say it already exists. I did some search and found out the htm, txt, and rtf files are located in C: user, <user>, appdata, roaming, msoft, signatures. I see both the ones that won't appear and the new ones I created. Not sure if this is related to my issue, but i ran a few free scans to see if i could find and fix problem. (regcleanPro, RegBoost, CCleaner) they all found a ton of errors. I'm missing a load of HKEY files, plus other stuff, too much to list.
I am having a problem (see title) and error code 0xc00000428 I am planning to have a a new install or reinstall or a COMPLETE REINSTALL of Windows 7 Ultimate.
I keep getting pop-up ads after clicking google links, or just randomly How do I fix this? Also, whenever I visit an HTTPS:// website, I always get a meassge saying:The site's security certificate is signed using a weak signature algorithm! You attempted to reach www.facebook.com, but the server presented a certificate signed using a weak signature algorithm. This means that the security credentials the server presented could have been forged, and the server may not be the server you expected (you may be communicating with an attacker). You should not proceed, especially if you have never seen this warning before for this site.
I'm having a heck of a time changing my signature that others see when I send them mail. I've changed the account info but can't figure out where to go to change the sig. I have windows 7.
As a UK lawyer it is essential have a signature with all kinds of regulatory stuff as a signature. Why is it so hard to create a signature in the new Windowsmail? I have read all the threads here for 40 minutes. I have done google searches. i have searched and searched in Windows livemail. I cannot find any Options or signatures boxes. I don't need any graphics in there. I just need some lines of text with regulatory information. I cannot even find an idiot's guide and I will not watch videos to learn as I am a words person. I cannot find a file menu. I cannot find any options. It must be lurking there. Thi sis the very latest version bought September 2012 in London UK. I have now in a sense spent a few hundred pounds of chargeable time just on this silly issue. No one's heart bleeds ever for lawyers but there must be a four clicks and you have your signature added surely within it.
I would like to create a custom signature in the new Windows live mail. In the new layout there is not a "Tool" menu to bring up "options" from where you create a signature. However there is an "Insert" button which as well as being able to attach files etc shows a signature icon which is Greyed out. I have tried logging into email as administrator but it is still greyed out.
i have set my email signature with a HTML file that displays a logo from a remote URL. I have since changed this logo but kept the URL the same, the HTML signature will not update to the new logo and is still displaying the old logo. Is this cached somewhere? If so, where can i update the cache or at least clear it?
Some driver I have is messed up and my computer keeps trying to go through start up repair. Start up repair of course never works so i can't start windows normally.I noticed though that if I disabled driver signature enforcement, then my computer can get to the login screen. I thought this had solved my problem but after logging in this way, I get a fake antivirus coming up, then shortly after a BSOD.What I did on previous computers when something like this happened is go into safe mode, but like normal startup it cannot load and instead goes to startup repair.when I get to advanced startup options, only one or the other (Disable Driver Signature Enforcement, or safe mode) can be picked. How do I use both of these options simultaneously?
Install Unsigned Drivers on Windows 7 & Vista with Driver Signature Enforcement Over, Every time when we try to install any hardware drivers which are not signed by Microsoft, Windows shows a warning of Unsigned driver dialog box. The reason of showing warning message is to protect the stability of your Windows operating system as such drivers are not passed in Microsoft windows driver compatibility test.
In Window XP you can still install unsigned drivers but in Windows Vista SP 1 and Windows 7 Microsoft has introduced very restricted module of driver signature enforcement which doesn't allow us to install any incompatible unsigned drivers.
If you want to bypass or disable Unsigned Driver warning message then Here is small freeware utility Driver Signature Enforcement Overrider which allows you to install and load unsigned drivers dynamically on your Windows 7 and Vista.
I have Windows 7 -64 bit operating system, I have just set up Windows Live Mail and created my signature but I can't figure out how to insert my photo in my signature line. I can't find a place to choose using my own letterhead either.
So recently last day or so something changed and now i have to disable driver signature enforcement at every start up in order for my headset to work. It was working fine before. I unplugged it when useing it on another computer. then plugged it back into this one and it tells me the driver is not valid. i have removed said software and disconnected headset and reinstalled and no change.
I have a HP Slimline PC and a SyncMaster 2343(BWPlus/BWXPlus)(Analog) Monitor. The monitor two connection options. It has a standard VGA & DVI-D Single Link. The PC only has the VGA(BLUE)connection. If I use an adapter,(DVI-D single link male 18+1 to VGA female) will my monitor then switch to digital?
As I posted in the monitors forum, I am having problems with a new LG W2053 TQ monitor. Being used with a new HP Pavillion Elite PC. Great picture, but just can't get any of the OSD or configuration screens to appear.
It has those touch sensitive buttons on the front. Have tried everything, but they never appear on the screen no matter how I press them (quickly, tapped, held for several seconds, etc.)
Other than that, the monitor is great.
Have it hooked up with a DVI-D cable for a digital connection, rather than VGA.
Was wondering if perhaps to get these OSD screens to appear, the monitor needs, and uses somehow, the analog VGA cable for this. So, thought I'd give it a try. Now have both cables in place.
But, I'm reasonably sure that the PC is still using the DVI-D digital cable for its output to the PC. Looked in all (I think all) the monitor related screens in Windows 7 but can't find where it is.
a. Is there an option in Windows 7, somewhere, to tell Windows7 which to use, and to switch the output spigots between VGA and DVI-D going to the monitor ?
b. Or, any thoughts as to why the config OSD screens won't appear would also be most appreciated.
I was recently forced by my provider to change from analogue to a digital service. I received two basic analogue to digital converters and have them setup on media center (Windows 7). I have IR blasters going from the back of the USB MC dongle to the front of the 2 digital boxes. Problem: I can browse channels no problem when not recording anything. As soon as I begin recording a channel and change channels, it switches over to the second digital box/tuner but it won't change the channels. Media center seems to think it's changing but the instructions never make it back to the digital box. It's like it's never activating the second IR blaster. I switched some of the hardware around to no avail, same results either way. Both digital boxes are identical and both remotes worth with both boxes.
Downloaded Adobe Digital to load Kobo. Downloads fine, but gives Run error looking for Administrator. When i go into control panel, shows me as administrator. Tried all my passwords, not valid. What am i missing?
