Delete HP Printer Driver?

I Have an ALL N ONE HP Printer, Win 7 64 Bit. Due to a Scanner Failure error, I have tried to remove and install the S/W several times . I have deleated everything associated with my HP all in one printer, in Registery, all Temp files, & Add / Rm programs. All thats remaining is a Digital Imaging, Bin file HPSLPSVC64.DLL and action states it cannot be deleted because it is open in HP Network Devices Support. Also after all this when i go into my Network the Printer is still there with no delete option, but under Divicies and Printers it's gone. Can anyone offer any assistance on a CLEAN DELETE of these printer files.

having moved once and having add and removed computers from my home network, along with other changes, I now have a cluttered Printer Selection Window, by which I mean the window that pops up when I want to print a document. I have five versions of a Brother printer and four versions of an HP printer, and only one of each is actually good. How do I clean up that window by getting rid of those obsolete references that no longer work? It's ridiculous that they don't simply disappear when I select one of them as the default.

I'm having a problem trying to delete a Brother HL-1440 laser printer. In "Control panel > Devices & Printers" the printer is shown with a trouble symbol. The connection is via USB using a USB to parallel adapter which worked fine under win XP. When I click to troubleshoot it returns the message that it's driver ids not installed. When I click on the "fix it" button it says it can't find a driver.After searching on this forum I found that an HL-2045 driver would work in win 7-64 bit. I've downloaded that driver from Brother as well as the driver uninstalling tool. When I run the uninstaller, it says there is no driver for that printer installed. Correct.The question is how to remove the printer icon being displayed in the control panel. When the icon is selected the "remove printer" link is not displayed.

Windows 7 recognizes the printer but has a yellow triangle exclamation point. it will not print, but I cannot find any printer driver for Windows 7. any ideas?

You should be able to download the Windows Vista drivers for that printer from here, which should be compatible with Windows 7:

We have just added our first Windows 7 pc to our XP network. I would like to connect to the Windows 7 PC to a shared "Epson lq-590" printer on one of the XP machines.According to the Epson website the only drivers available for this printer are through Windows 7 update in the "add a printer wizard". If the printer is directly attached to the Windows 7 PC the driver installation via "add a printer wizard" works without a hitch. When uninstalling a driver you now get a delete option as it uninstalls , what a god send this is I have lost count of the amount of times in vista I have uninstalled a graphics driver only to have it put it back in when it reboots ! Not anymore !

Is there any problem if I remove the ' protection driver ' from my computer. Will that cause any harm to the computer? It's actually blocking me from opening a game which I had just installed. Should I get it removed or should I update the driver?

I was wondering is it safe to delete the driver files installed in the program folders such as USB, GPU, and sound drivers? I know you can delete the downloaded folder package which you need to begin installing them, but can you delete the folders it creates afterwards?

I need to replace a W2K computer on a domain with a Windows 7 computer(laptop), but I want to keep the same computer name.I need the ip, username, profile to stay the same. Can I delete the computer from the domain and name the new computer that name I deleted and still keep the users profile on the new machine, as if it was the old one?

I'm running Windows 7 x86 on a very old laptop with 512mb ram (Toshiba Portege R200), which with a little patience is perfectly usable! However I am unable to install drivers for a HP B11a wifi printer because although I meet the system requirement of 512mb memory, only 503mb is stated as 'usable' I've run memory tests and all is fine so am assuming the 9mb is reserved for the video card or something, but bios options are very limited and I don't seem to have any settings for this. Is there any way to trick windows into thinking it has more memory, or some other ingenious solution I haven't thought of? I tried using ready boost but it must be usb1 because I don't get the option to use it as memory.

My new boss has a 64 bit Windows 7 laptop. We are trying to hook up to a Xerox WorkCentre 128 wirelessly. It connects, but prints only gobbly-goop. When I talked to Xerox they said there are no drivers for the 64 bit Win 7, and changing his computer to Vista, or getting a new printer.

I have an HP Laserjet 4L. Windows Vista and XP automatically find the software and install it correctly. Unfortunately, HP drivers are no longer available and HP says the drivers are in XP/Vista and they won't post the software for download. My environment: Home network, the HP printer is attached to a network printer device with an IP address. On my laptop (XP Pro) I have the printer installed and it works great. I was able to share this printer and find it and print to it using Windows 7. Now, since Windows 7 has the drivers and it works fine, I should be able to add a networked printer using the same drivers. But no luck.. When I try, it keeps looking for the INF file to install the drivers, which of course are not available. When I print a Printer Test Page, I see the following (I won't type irrelevant information)

The driver for my old HP 990cxi printer is not included in Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit. When connecting to the Internet Windows checks for newer versions of drivers and with that I was able to get the HP printer working. Where does Windows save the driver package after such an online update? Is there a way to download this package and make the driver update offline afterwards?

I have installed Win 7 a while ago and today needed to print to my upstairs printer. My printer is a HP Deskjest 340 and it is connected to an iMac. I have all comps networked together so when i click add a printer my HP shows up as connected to my mac, no problem there. When i select the printer it starts to install a driver for it but a message comes up that says "No driver found" it asks me if i want to search for a driver on my comp but i don't have one to begin with. So basically I'm stuck. i have been to HPs website about there drivers and such and they don't have any drivers for Vista, they say the comp will look and find one for you while it did properly.

There is no Windows 7 driver for my old but very reliable Kyocera FS-680 printer.
I saw a post on a German forum that said I could use a Vista driver 'and say a prayer it'll work' but I'm reluctant to try that.
Am I stuck with buying a new printer?
Is there anyone out there with a solution to this?

I have reinstalled the drivers and clicked the XP service pack 2 in compatability as I was advised on one site but it does not work - I am very frustrated with the amount of things causing trouble with Windows 7!

I had trouble finding how to get my HP Laserjet 4 printer to work in Windows 7.
My research indicates it would run in Vista using built in drivers, but I didn't have or use Vista. I also tried driversguide, and HP site just says "supported"
When I used one of the available earleir drivers I always get the error message:
"W2 INVALID PERS"
