Ive been trying to make sure that all my drivers are up to date, so I've got the program Driver Max to make sure that they are the latest versions. Ok so as I understand it, things like:
And all of those related things are what the chip set driver update's? If I'm wrong please explain how I update those things. If I'm right then why would it say they were out of date when I've gone to the Intel site and used the driver detection feature and it says I'm up to date?
We have a Dell laptop with a unique problem.. An email showed up today from a person in our company.. date was today, however, the preview pane date had a date in the far future.. I have a toolbar on my taskbar titled "Programs". It has about eight folders in it. I made another toolbar, and placed it directly adjacent to the Programs toolbar, to obscure the eight folders and force it to be a dropdown menu.Trouble is, as soon as I lock my taskbar, right next to the arrow that displays the eight items of my Programs toolbar in menu-form, one of the eight items is showing up as an icon, as if the other toolbar isn't close enough to the Programs toolbar in order to completely obscure the eight items.
Windows 7 DVD Maker is free, that's a good thing, but it can not support MTS, M2TS, TS, HD MKV, HD WMV, and HD MOV and other formats, that's a bad one, and it can not edit videos either! in that way, i am thinking of buying a professional dvd creator to meet my need? any suggestion? or which one you are using?

nyway, yesterday the date in the system tray randomly stopped appearing. It still shows the time, just not the date. I didn't change any settings or anything like that, I just remember looking down and noticing it was gone. I've looked in the date's settings and it still knows the correct date, it just will not put it on the task bar.I've looked on google to find people having similar problems, but nobody with a solution. I've tried restarting the computer as well, to no avail.
The problem I am citing today is not a new one, however, I cannot find a fix for it. Its the problem with Windows DVD maker where you set the aspect ratio to 16:9, but the result is always 4:3. Does anyone know of a fix / workaround for this problem?

I don't know how to fix this as its gets annoying to manually change it everyday. Oh and its not a virus, as soon as i unpacked my comp and turned it on, it was the same date and time.

However when I replay the program it plays on a reduced size on my laptop and on my tv screen (not on the full screen size as it did before editing). The recorded format is MPEG-2 TS Video. How can I make sure that it plays at full size?

Just had a new computer made up using Windows 64bit OS. I installed the old disc drive from my failing old computer as a slave drive, which I was using XP on a 32bit system expecting it was going to be easy to retieve all my data files. What a mistake that is turning out to be !!! Does anyone out there know how I can do this ? The files where password protected is this causing the problem? I guess I have the option of taking the drive out and re-installing it in the old system and then try to download the data into something useable for the new system.
I was browsing through my program files while working on getting Unreal Tournament to host multiplayer when I came across a folder called "DVD Maker."
I've never installed anything like it.I went to control panel, uninstall programs, and I did not find it.I tried to delete it and it says that I do not have permission to delete the folder, only "TrustedInstaller" does. I tried to give myself permissions, (I am on my administrator account) and it fails.
Would like to restore system to a recent date to reverse some s/w updates that are causing problems. Apparently the option restore point creation function in the protection section of W-7 has been turned off since 06/2012, since that is the latest date listed under the system restore listing. Can I somehow restore to a later date maybe by accessing the calendar type options page similar to that of XP?
Even though Windows Update may fail to find them many newer drivers for Windows 7 are available for manual download at the Microsoft Update Catalog website if you manually search for them. You'll need to use IE to use the site. I found WDDM 1.1 drivers for my Intel G33 graphics that were newer than what I could find anywhere else. Go to Microsoft Update Catalog to search.
I got my Windows 7 Home premium about 18 months ago and have never had a need to use DVD maker. So when someone told me I could use it to make menu's on my home movies I wanted to try it.So I got to "Programs and Features" to activate DVD maker but it won't work.It gives an error "Unable to install some features"Can I download it ? On the Microsoft website I see only a developers kit for Vista.
I am adding two video items to burn onto the same DVD. I would expect the viewer to be able to choose to play either video 1 or video 2 but the preview screen does not list the files separately but simply has only one 'play' button. What am I doing wrong?
