When typing a post the cursor is blinking away as I type. After a few lines it stops blinkingEventually it disappears and can make editing a headache as you can never be sure where the cursor is.As this is a fairly new phenomenon can any one tell me if it is something I have done, or can do, to stop this odd behaviour?, I am using Windows 7 and IE 9 with all updates offered installed.
I'm facing one serious cursor issue.Whenever I'm typing something, the cursor is just going off from it's normal place.
For example: Right now I'm typing in a Notepad and the cursor is just going off the notepad and I have to click again inside the notepad to bring the cursor back to it's position so that I can type. The same thing happens while chatting with someone. I've to click on the chat window again and again to type my messages.I recently got my palm rest replaced which included new touch pad and I'm pretty much sure that it's not touch pad problem. This is really frustrating and annoying.
I am having an issue with my computer reading boxes from my input that look similar to []. When I use a readkey method in a program it will display that the input it is reading is a 255 which is ancii for 'blank' if I understand right. I believe the boxes are the visual representation of a blank?
I am using windows 7 ultimate on a dell inspiron 1501. what in the world would cause it to continue reading this input? The thing that is strange is it only happens during a readkey call in code or a program that uses a similar method to type with such as a java application that is used to show work for homework. Things such as threads like this, or word processors or notepad etc don't do this.
I am totally tired because cursor is disappearing after few seconds while typing. I have to click anywhere on the working page to bring back the cursor again. I am using window 7.
This problem is happening on two different laptops, both Windows 7, so I'm wondering if it's a virus. On many occasions, but not every time, my cursor will jump to another spot in the text and continue typing in the middle of another word. It seems to happen when a word ends in "t".
whenever i'm typing a text on this laptop (fujitsu siemens amilo li 1818) the cursor () changes it's position randomly i.e. to: .
it is very frustrating as i need to put the cursor back in it's original place again, due to the fact that it jumps to previously typed text. sometimes it goes back a few words, sometimes it jumps up a few lines. whenever it jumps back, it jumps in between words or randomly in words like you can see on the second image.
it happens alot (the more i type, the faster it occurs again). i am 100% sure that it's not caused by me touching the touchpad while typing, as i've been looking for 10 minutes now while typing and i can't spot myself touching the pad with my hand, finger or anything else. i tried covering the touchpad with random objects such as a sheet of paper or a creditcard but the problem still occurs.
it happens in any program (firefox, internet explorer, microsoft office, notepad,...), even when i'm watching a Internet-video browsing the comments it's scrolling the page up (never scrolls down).
Most of the returns are for solutions for the exact opposite (cursor hidden not showing) The ones that are for my trouble send me to control panel check box that I have checked.
I am using a Logitech G500 mouse, the bloatware (SetPoint) has no cursor "hide" option. Though it does not seem to matter the driver (win 7 ultimate standard system or Logitech) I use.
Seems a trivial issue other than I have a gift for clicking the dialogue box right where I prefer to see a word that the cursor obfuscates.
Neither Quick Reply nor Reply are working on my desktop PC, anyone else? Or do i have to resort to violence.Posting from Laptop,so if this works, what's up with my desktop???
I was wondering if any tells solution to dissappearing threads/ half composed emails, in relation to a connection dropout? This has happened to me here a few times and also at another forum I am a member of. Usually with email the half composed mail will be sent to draughts in various emailing facilities, however I was wondering if anyone knows of any third party software or other solution which may be appropriate in alleviating this problem.
i start up my computer and it freezes at my load up screen (It shows F2 for BIOS and F12 for boot menu etc.)i am luckily able to enter the BIOS if i press key quick enough before the computer freezes a few seconds after.i got lucky and my computer functioned one time, i am running System repair on the computer (Windows software)After my issues i checked my RAM moduels, i removed them and put them back in ETC, i can run the memory test x86 (I have the CD and i can boot from my optical drive) if required but i doubt this issues is memory related, plus checking memory is long and tedious As far as i know, the most recent changes made to my computer were changes to the registry with the software CCleaner however i am unsure this is what caused my freezes to start.
When i set task scheduler to run a program it works. But if the pc is not on at the time it will not run unless task scheduler is opened. It is set to run as soon as poss after scheduled time and task scheduler itself starts and runs properly
Frequently--and growing more frequent--I get a lag in typing in Windows 7 for any application involving typing (browsers, Office, email....anything). At first nothing happens, and then everything I tried to type shows up several seconds later, sometimes as long as 20 or 30 seconds later, though usually with the first few letters missing.
I'm just setting up a new computer, and not used to the keyboard. When I was installing the operating system I was asked for a User name. Before I had a chance to do anything it had accepted the name GREU and moved on to the next step.I've tried doing a search in regedit for GREU, changed it in one place, but its still showing up all over. Is there a complete fix to this or should I resign myself to being known as Greu for the next few years?
Windows 7 has been giving a bit of issues with delay or lag in typing I called Dell and received help in upgrading drivers.Things seem to work better then it went back to its old waysCan anyone shed light? why is there such a lag in typing when using win 7 having issue with cursor
For a number of months, Windows 7 [Professional x64 w/SP1] has been hanging after I login, but only after I start typing somewhere.I can open up applications, such as Chrome and Publisher, and they'll continue to work fine as long as I'm clicking and not typing somewhere. But, if I start typing in the address bar of Chrome, or in the Windows Run box (winkey+R), it'll hang, usually for 10-15 seconds. If I let my system just sit there after logging on (30 seconds or so), and then start typing in a program, it won't hang. The same thing happens on my gaming PC. They both have a similar set of applications installed.I had Task Manager open while the hang was happening, but nothing out of the ordinary was happening.
Time to time when I am typing up something my typing would freeze and then would resume, after the missing characters show up. I also noticed that when I am running WMP listening to an online streaming, fixed at 128kbps, the music would studder/pause and continue, it would also sound like scratching sometimes, very short pulses like something is causing PC to strain under a lot of workload but there isn't much happening. I also set the buffer at 10 seconds to avoid the problems if it was bandwidth related, but I don't think it is due to network. It happens at T1 and it also happens at home with 30mbps connection. Time to time the processor would also report high usage on the monitor.

For a while now I have been having this bug where my computer just keeps constantly typing zero's like this "000000000000000000000000000000000000000" without me doing anything.A few points I should mention-I have unplugged the keyboard and the problem still persists2.The issue normally starts after watching a movie, a long video or after playing a game.3.My antivirus software couldn't find anything.4.It is always fixed with a good ol' restart but it is REALLY annoying to do this.
Ever since I got this new PC with Windows 7 two weeks ago, I've had problems when typing text in applications, web forums, etc. I'll be merrily typing along and somehow a random combination of keys I hit causes some unintended action, such as the opening of a new window, switching focus to another open application, opening a different application, or activating some feature I don't want. Does Windows 7 and/or typical apps have tons of keyboard macros or shortcuts on by default, and how can I disable them?
All I'm doing is typing normal text, I swear I'm not hitting the Windows key or some combination of ALT_CTRL_X or anything like that. Maybe it's this crummy USB keyboard, is it possible that it interprets rapid keystrokes as the wrong thing?
I recently bought an X4 keyboard to replace my G15 but I have found the X4 great until it has a burst of random typing without human input. I was playing CSS and found it was randomly controlling my player, I checked console and it was typing a lot of c, d, e ,f
when ever I play games this is a serious problem because in games where you hold down W to move and hot keys for stuff whenever I am typing on my Dell insprion 17r my mouse WILL NOT MOVE. I have no idea how to change the settings I looked at the driver called Dell touchpad but no options to change settings?
