Change Languages From Italian To English (Windows 7 HomePremium 64b)?
Nov 3, 2011
I have this brand new HP laptop with a pre-installed Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit. The problem is the language is "Italian" and I need to change it to english. I've read some articles on the net and it seems that I have to pay for an upgrade or buy the ultimate edition to have the english language pack. Guys is there a way to change the language without "paying" a cent? let's say a workaround or something.
my toshiba laptop computer`s windows language is italiano. i want to change windows language from italiano to english. my windows is only language italiano. it has not any language change option and have not windows cd/dvd.

I bought a laptop in Paraguay, with Windows 7 Pro pre-installed. I thought this would be handy and it was cheap as chips so bought it. Little did I know changing the language from Spanish to English would be such a chore. Is there a simple trick I'm missing?
I can get by but it would be so much easier to have it all in English. For instance, I just tried to put my camera's SD card in to the slot and it came up with an error message that I couldn't even read!
So my friend bought this Compaq Mini CQ10 laptop/netbook over in spain, and bought it over to the UK.When he got it home and first time booted he noticed it was in Spanish, with Spanish keyboard. So my question is, can i change it from Spanish to English? its running Windows 7 Starter.

I am an expat American living in France. I bought my laptop in the US, I have the Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit OS and it is in English. I have my location set to United States through the control panel and all of my system is set to display in English. My problem is that when I visit english websites that open dialog boxes, the boxes opened are often in French. My current example is I'm trying to update my video card driver through Intel's website. They have a diagnostic tool that scanned my computer and suggested I download drivers and update 2 components. The website was in English and I assume there are files that are all in English. However, when I run the .exe files, the dialog box is all in French -- and I am not fluent. I am assuming that something is checking my IP address or something. Is there a way to only have these programs display English? I'm not sure if it matters or not, but I am using Google Chrome.
I have a laptop that I am working on that is running windows 7 home premium and the language is set to Spanish. How do set the display language to english.
I have been struggling with my old desktop for 4 hours...as i have installed a fresh windows 7 home premium on a new Samsung 500GB hardisk, but soon after the installation when i rebooted my pc it rebooted to black screen which is never ending....i have tried installing Windows 7 Os three times and every time the result was the same. my disk is ok as it doesn't give any error while running check disk utility on it.
I have a problem with an Italian Windows 7 32-bit Home Premium installation that I have been unable to resolve. So I am resorting to a 'repair' install.I downloaded the English Win 7 32-bit generic version as an ISO file and started to perform an 'upgrade' install. However, I didn't get very far before I received the message that I couldn't upgrade due to the language difference.I searched on the internet but could not find an Italian version. I did find a language pack for Italian, but it is claimed to be for higher versions of Win 7 than Home Premium. In any case it isn't clear to me what I would have to do with this language pack. where I can find an applicable ISO or what else I can do in order to proceed?
possible to install foreign languages on Windows 7 Professional, which I recently purchased and installed. Is it really true that I now need to purchase something else to be able to install language packs? If so, what?I'm not one to go on a rant against Microsoft and even usually defend the company against the charges of fanatic MAC users, but if it's really true that I now need to buy something else, well, I'll be very angry. Language packs were available in the home version of Vista, for instance, so why would I, as a consumer, think that they wouldn't be in W Professional? The idea that ordinary Americans, for instance, only need English, is unbelievably retrograde in this day and age. I'm an academic who really needs to be able to type in foreign languages for my work.
I have a folder filled with photos and they are all titled in different languages. For some reason, all of the Chinese characters appear as normal boxes...Here's the interesting part, it ONLY happens in explorer... I can see all Asian characters fine in my web browsers, but when I copy them over to name a file or folder, they turn into boxes.
Yesterday my computer crashed, but I got it working quite quickly again. But when I was to write to my friends in a chat (I am swedish) I realized i could not write any swedish letters. And all the 1-9 shift functions were moved or gone too. It has taken me a while to figure out where the functions are now (like ? ! @ etc). So anyway I thought that the input language must be acting wierd. and when I were to look what language i had on, there were none. No input languages. None. I cant add, because there are no languages to add. They all are gone.
I am new here and I have a question that I cant find the answer to anywhere on the internet! Can I set up a home network between my new Windows 7 starter netbook, whose system language is Spanish and my old Windows Vista Home Premium laptop, whose system language is English?
