Cant Connect To Internet Using Belkin N Wireless Usb
Nov 24, 2009
just having troubles connecting too Internet i am currently using a BELKIN N wireless USB adaptor f5d8053 version 3 on my windows 7 computer and just wondering if some 1 could point me in the right direction .
I have a problem my HP Pavilion dv5-2035dx it can't seem to connect to any networks anymore. It was working fine two nights ago, and now it can't connect. It can locate the networks, but every time I try to connect to one it will give me a cannot connect to network. Troubleshooting does nothing as well.
I'm having a connection issue with my new computer running Windows 7 Professional x64. When I first set it up, the wireless connection worked flawlessly, and then the next day the internet cut out and has not connected since (currently 2 days). Note that I can still connect to the Network, it is just the internet connection that is the issue. Other computers and devices can still connect to the network and internet, and as a temp fix I am using a wired connection to the same router.
My router is a Dynalink RTA1025W Rev2 using WPA2-Personal security, and my computer has a 802.11n Wireless LAN Card.
Release / Renew the IPFlushing the DNSCreating a static IP addressUpdating the wireless driverUninstalling / re-installing the network card / driverResetting the modem/routerResetting the computerDisabling the firewallChanging the security type (tried WEP and none)System restoring the computerWiping the computer back to it's original state I've probably tried a couple more things that have now slipped to the back of my mind in the many hours of frustration which I have encountered. None of the above have worked, even temporarily.
I have also attempted to connect to a neighbor's unsecured wireless network, however I was also unsuccessful with that.
So yesterday my internet was working fine, but today when I returned and got it out of standby, I could not connect to the internet. It says "limited access" when I try to connect to the wireless, and when I try to connect with an ethernet cable nothing happens. If I troubleshoot, Windows is unable to resolve it. The problem it says is:There might be a problem with the driver for the Wireless Network Connection adapter. There might be a problem with the driver for the Local Area Connection Adapter.
i have pc with adsl and 3 printer newly i have bought a laptop i wanna openly share every thing in my pc like internet, hard drives, printer with my laptop. i can do it in network and sharing center but i have to do it several times in a day like my first time to make every thing sharing and get connect i need software to get connect automatically through my wireless network sharing and share every thing with my laptop
My windows 7 machine is unable to connect to my internet through the wireless bridge I've set up on my WRT54G using DD-WRT. It seems to be connected to the network as it sees the other computers that are on it but there is no internet access. Every once in awhile it gains access and then abruptly loses it in a matter of minutes. The router supplies internet to anything else I plug into it, be it my Xbox or laptop running XP.
My desktop (windows 7 ultimate 64bit) has been able to connect fine to the internet until I got home from work this morning. My laptop is connecting to the same modem fine through wireless (along with my wii). The modem I am using is Motorola SB 901. When I rightclick my connection on my desktop and hit troubleshoot problems, I get 'local area connection 2 doesn't have a valid ip configuration'. Same thing happens when I switch the ethernet cord to local area connection 1. When I go to control panel, network and internet, network and sharing, the connection map at the top stops between my pc and the network (which is now labeled as 'unidentified network'). Here is a list of what I have done so far to try and resolve the issue:
1. Replaced the ethernet cord with one I know is working
2. Full scanned my pc for viruses
3. Disabled all firewalls and virus protection programs
4. Restored my pc to a previous save state
5. Reset winsock with cmd via these prompts: netsh winsock reset catalog and netsh int ip reset reset.log hit
6. This attempt is unfinished as I am getting stuck. I am attempting to setup a static ip to attempt to resolve the issue, but when I open cmd and type ipconfig/all, the default gateway under my local area connection is completely blank. Here is what comes up with ipconfig/all:
C:UsersPaul>ipconfig/all Windows IP Configuration Host Name . . . . . . . . . . . . : Paul-PC Primary Dns Suffix . . . . . . . : Node Type . . . . . . . . . . . . : Hybrid
I have a netgear wireless router upstairs. My dell laptop, my iMac (which is downstairs) and my iPad/iPhones all connect anywhere in the house. My Toshiba laptop and my work dell will not connect or it connects very intermittently. I can stay connected for days on other wifi networks, just not at home. Any ideas?
belkin router unable to connect to certain web sites by hard wire, but can access through the wireless side with the same computer with windows 7 and firefox or internet explorer
Ive been trying to install my wireless drivers, when you run them form CD everything seems fine and says installed, but when it says connect your usb device it starts to instal the intantly stops and says driver not installed..
Its a belkin G usb wireless adapter 802.11g model number F5D7050
Any help would be great , had to switch back to vista to use the internet.
I just installed windows 7 RC on my computer. Everything loaded fine, but I am having trouble getting my belkin wireless G usb working. I run the driver and it installs fine, and when it prompts me to insert the usb. When I insert the usb nothing happens. I have tried other USB ports and running in different compatability modes. It worked fine in XP. On the hardware screen I can see that it is plugged in, but it says it is an unknown wireless usb card (sor something similar to that).
I have a Belkin wireless unit what kind of # am I looking for ? There are a lot of numbers on it so which one do I need ? I'm looking for my security number for my wireless.
I wonder if anyone has got this one to work, I've tried everything, I did have problems with it on Windows XP also, but always got it to work after a while, but now it seem impossible to get it working and im in desperate need for help!
I've installed the latest drivers and when it tells me to plug in the USB adapter, I do that but then it says it can't find it but it did install the software and such so I reboot a few times to see if it starts working, but no, it just wont work, i've done the compability thing also but still doesnt want to work.
Like everyone else I've been having trouble with getting the F5D7050 to work on Windows 7 32-bit. I went through the different compatibility modes using the v4 drivers from Belkin's site. My results ranged from OS not recognizing the driver as compatible to BSOD when using the network. Finally I tried Vista SP1 mode. It works! That's the only mode that worked for me.
I read alot topics on this forum to try solve my problem. I found in here 2 topics about Belkin Wireless G USB adapter , but still i have a problem
I describe whats the problem .

Trying to install a Belkin Wireless or Retail Plus+ N USB Adapter, which the microsoft page says is compatible with Windows 7 (for the Belkin) and receiving an error basically saying the driver is not compatible with this operating system.
This is a brand new computer that came with Windows 7 installed and has 0 internet access right now....what can you suggest?
Also, I do have a wired internet access point in my house I can move it to, if there is something I need to download I can probably do this.
It's been hours, and I feel like I may have to take the whole thing back.
I would prefer to use the Retail Plus+ USB adapter for this system if given the choice, since the Belkin is in use on another computer in the house, but I'll take whatever is out there.
ive got windows 7 ultimate. Ive been trying to install my wireless drivers, when you run them form CD everything seems fine and says installed, but when it says connect your usb device it starts to instal the intantly stops and says driver not installed..
On this laptop, we tried to connect to our router via this USB Network adapter. We went into 'Manage wireless networks' and disabled the Belkin Wireless adapter, to see what would happen if we re-enabled it. But after we disabled it, it dissapeared. We can't even set it up again. what do we do?
I'm having a problem with using USB network adapters, I've tried three different ones and they all end up shutting off my computer every few hours. It is some form of USB conflict I can't seem to fix.
I tried switching to a PCI card, but since I happen to be in a corner in the house having the wireless adapter on top of the desk is the only thing that seems to get me any sort of signal. But the USB Adapters all persist in shutting me down. Just a hard-shutoff with no warning, all of a sudden bam, its just powered off.
Right now I'm using a Belkin N+ USB Adapter. Any ideas on how to correct this issue? I have several other USB devices plugged in as well: KVM switch, external hard drive, webcam, mouse+keyboard.
I don't found driver for this PCI card: belkin wireless g plus desktop card ver. 2001 ef driver The sistem is Windows Ultimate x64 and in the manufacturer page are only drivers for previous Windows.
I bought a Belkin N 600 wireless USB adapter about two weeks ago, and yesterday it stopped working. I received a pop-up message saying the device had malfunctioned, and in the device manager it displayed error code 43. The device showed up as "unknown device" under the USB tab, rather than under the network adapters tab. This is what I have already. tried'Reinstalled the driver from the CD'Reinstalled the driver from Belkin's website'Reinstalled the USB drivers'Restored my system to before I initially installed the driverRan troubleshooter'Spent an hour on the phone with Belkin tech support'
I believed the hype, waited to buy a new computer until 7 came out. Been doing this since before there even WAS Windows, and it does it to me every time. Everything was supposed to work that worked with Vista, which was supposed to run everything that ran on XP, etc. - I got the computer, a Compaq desktop, got a Linksys wireless adapter to go with it. Wouldn't install. Wouldn't even recognize the dang thing was plugged in.
Called Linksys, talked to some woman in Indonesia who told me there was no driver for Windows 7 yet. Went back to BestBuy where I got the adapter, thinking they could help. Seems their geeks aren't any geekier than I am. Got a refund, bought a Belkin G family. At least the computer recognized that the Belkin is plugged in, and it knows there is a signal, but it refuses to connect.
That's weird. Good signal, knows it is a Motorola adapter, but will NOT connect! Re-installed it in compatibility mode. It just laughs at me. Seriously, can I go back to DOS? Barring that, is there anything else I can do besides wait for an adapter to ship with a driver that works on 7?
I recently purchased a Belkin wireless network adapter for my HP windows 7 computer, and the checkout woman said it would work.
Unfortunately, it does not work. at first, it was just dodgy, connecting with only a small connection. It started getting better, but it would always cut out after a while.
A friend of mine tried to fix it, using lots of methods including the xlink kai method and others including downloading the drivers and another one which I can't remember. None have worked.
Has anyone got a really easy, fool-proof, easy understandable way to make this work please?
My new Belkin Wireless G router crashes ALWAYS if I try to connect from my Windows 7 Laptop to my Windows XP (home edition) desktop.I try to connect wireless from my Laptop (Windows 7) to my shared printer and shared folders on my wired Windows XP desktop. While entering \192.168.2.3 in my IExplorer of the Windows 7 Laptop: (IP address of XP desktop) immidiately crashes the router and disconnects both computers from the internet. Only solution is to reboot the router.Have tested this various time, but always the same result. Both computers have the same WORKGROUP name.
I installed Window 7 on my laptop. Everything ran pretty well, so I decided to give it a try on my desktop.
I had a little hard time installing Belkin USB driver, but it wasn't anything complicated. Then I installed Steam. The nightmare happened.... The wireless would work for about 5 minutes. Then it just die. I did everything I could imagine, but nothing helped unless I restarted the computer. Then again.... 5 minutes,,, it's dead.
I reinstalled Window 7 again just for the heck of it with USB + Steam. AND THE SAME THING HAPPEN AGAIN! The third time I decided to go easy on my Window 7. I installed everything but Steam, and the wireless works just fine for 5 weeks! Does anyone have the same problem? & is there any solution out there?
I had a sabrent wireless desktop card that was a major problem after upgrading to Windows 7. It would some a fe wminutes and then do nothing for the next 12 hours. SOmetime it would should the connection is all good, at at times it would say DNS server is not responding.
I used the latest RALINK drivers from their website that said it was for Windows 7. Called Sabrent and RALINK like 10 times, left voicemails and notes for tech support, they never EVER called me back.
Since I had this Belkin wireles routre at home which has been doing pretty good, I decided to buy a belkin wireless card too. I landed up buying the Belkin F5D8001 N1 Desktop Wireless card.
Guess what? it comes with a XP CD. Their site has a newer version for Visa 32/64 bit as well. How ever the XP software does not get installed from the CD. If I point to the drivers folder on the CD it does not work too.
When I try installing the new execuctable on their website (vista 32/64 bit) it says the version could not be determined. I tried the compatibility mode for every damn possible version XP, Win 2000, Vista SP1 , SP2...no luck...its the same message.
Belkin says they don't know when the windows 7 driver will be out.
Where can I find a windows 7, Belkin wireless g usb network adapter driver? Can you please help me? I live in Asia now in the Philippines. Dave Hargrove, Have windows 7 starter on this netbook
