Cannot Locate USB 3.0 Drivers For Windows 7
Dec 6, 2011
I'm using Acronis Backup & Restore with Universal Restore (UR) to new hardware. UR is asking for driver pciven_1022&dev_7812&subsys_76951462&rev_03. I cannot locate this anywhere, although Driver Identifier shows it is installed in another OS instance (new install). where I can download this driver? Is there a way to extract a driver from within an existing Windows installation?

I cant install Nvida driver v182.50 (32bit drivers) for my Virtual XP mode, though the screen looks fine with the generic driver but one of the software needs open GL support & uses GPU for which i need nvida drivers to be installed.
When Installing I get the error
"nvida setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. setup will now exit"
I download the 32bit drivers isn't that what I need?

I was originally having problems with Realtek HD Audio Manager properly operating my front panel audio jacks, so I attempted to update my audio drivers using the ones found on Realtek's website (2.70). After restarting, my computer has failed to load and locate the new drivers and in the task bar, the usual volume icon has a red and white X; mouse-overing brings up the message "No speakers or headphones are plugged in" (despite my speakers being plugged into the proper lime analog jack on my motherboard). Opening the Sound window from my control panel shows that there is only one option under playback devices: AMD HDMI Output, which it shows as not plugged in.
There is no analog speaker present, even with both "Show Disabled Devices" and "Show Disconnected Devices" checked by right clicking on the window. Within my device manager, under the 'Sound, video and game controllers' heading, there is only the AMD High Definition Audio Device. Under the 'System devices' heading, the only relevant devices are two High Definition Audio Controllers, one of which has a yellow caution symbol. Within the properties, under 'Device status', it displays "This device cannot start. (Code 10)". Both it and the working High Definition Audio Control point to the same driver, hdaudbus.sys.
In summary:
- No sound out of speakers.
- Sound icon in desktop taskbar says "No speakers or headphones plugged in" despite plugged in speakers
- Realtek HD Audio Manager does not open on system startup
- No analog sound present in Control Panel > Sound > Playback
- Two High Definition Audio Controller devices present in device manager, one with an error symbol, both pointing to the same windows (not realtek) HD driver
- No analog sound devices present in device manager
- Possibly incomplete install of Realtek Drivers upon reinstall attempt - installed files do not load when opened.
- No Rtlcpl.exe program present.
Steps already taken:
- Installed most recent version of Realtek HD Audio Codec (2.70) from realtek's website
- Redownload and reinstall of same drivers
- Download of Realtek HD Audio Codec (2.65 I believe, I'd have to uninstall to see)
- Redownload and reinstall of same drivers
- Extraction of files from .zip version of 2.70 drivers, unable to point to these drivers.
- Cleaning of registry (working on hunch that uninstalls of realtek drivers have lead to registry items being left that are preventing proper reinstall)
- System restore to week before the problem (loads original drivers, problem is still present)
- Removal of RTKVHD64.sys from c:WindowsSystem32drivers (was present after uninstall. I believe it was a remnant from the old system restored drivers, which couldn't be uninstalled due to missing registry files. File still remains outside of drivers folder as a backup)
- Ensuring integrated audio is inabled within the BIOS
- Update of BIOS
- Update of motherboard chipset.
Relevant System Specs:
OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional (64 Bit)
Motherboard: Intel DP55WG
Video Card: AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series
Hunches I have:
Something to do with hdaudbus.sys - old related problems dealing with the AC'97 realtek drivers with respect to Win XP mention windows' UAA Bus Driver, which is what this is. Something in my registry is preventing me from installing Realtek properly. Maybe I need to give the full .zip a try again? Maybe I need to repeat these steps in safemode? I've been trying everything through normal installs and restarts. Try to find original driver disk from motherboard. (Having no luck with this). Last resort is reformat of C: drive.

For 5 years I had good service from an orange top Toshiba laptop but have now upgraded to brand spanking new black top Toshiba laptop ... Oh, you need the technical stuff as well!
-Old: Toshiba Satellite M50 series (Windows XP Home/MS Office 2003 Pro).
-New: Toshiba Satellite M745 (Windows 7/MS Office 2010 Pro)
-Migration of data: Seagate external hard drive.
I have religiously backed up all data files on a routine basis and checked for function and accuracy before disposing of the trusty orange M50.I now have the sleek black M745 up and running and with the exception that I can't get my head around the differences between MS Office 2003 and 2010, all seems to be well apart from one particularly nasty 'showstopper'.The new laptop can't open any of the files, MS or otherwise, stored on the external HD. Although I can see the files on the HD and am told that there is data in the files, I get the message that the file path cannot be found. The vast majority of these files are MS Office documents, power-point files and Access databases (created in MS Office 2003). However, movie files also receive the same message.

I used the "Gerate a system health report" aplet on the control panel of Win 7 and got a report that a PS/2 keyboard is either not present or its drivers are not installed. I am using a USB keyboard and mouse which work pretty well. I don't know why I keep getting the reports I get about the PS/2 keyboard?

Yesterday, I downloaded and installed the latest batch of system updates for Windows 7. When I restarted the computer, however, it stopped at 'Starting Windows' (without the animation), then brought up the startup repair program. As is usually the case, startup repair was unable to automatically identify and repair the problem, so I did it manually, opening the command prompt backing up then attempting to rebuild my BCD. However, the BCD rebuilder was unable to identify a windows filesystem on my hard drive. I tried bootrec /ScanOS, and that wasn't able to find it either. All the data on the hard drive is still present: I confirmed this with an Ubuntu live boot flash drive, so why can't bootrec find the system? After that, I tried /fixMBR and /fixBoot, and while both apparently succeeded, the computer still refuses to boot.

I was trying to install a trial application today. During the installation I got an error message that said it couldn't locate "vc_red.msi" and was trying to look for it in the directory"c:c3cbe011cf829fa347582798c" I couldn't locate that folder either. So, I downloaded the x64 Visual C++ 2008 installer from the MS site. I tried to run the installer, but that also gave me an error message that it couldn't locate "vc_red.msi" in yet another folder with a very long name. This time, it was looking for the folder/file on an external drive.

Outlook 2010 will not find my .pst file. To my knowledge I have not deleted it. I have not used Outlook in quite some time and decided to start using it again.
I use Win 7. I have unhidden all of the system folders and hidden files. As I have gone into AppData/Local/Microsoft/Outlook I do not find the file in there.
I have done a complete system search for Outlook.pst and I have found nothing.
As a result of this, Outlook will not even start in order for me to create a new file from within Outlook.

I am running on Windows 7 home premium 64-bit. There is a legalnoticecaption and legalnoticetext enabled in the registry, and when I delete these values and restart, they re-appear! I've even tried deleting them altogether. I'm guessing there is some sort of script enabled that re-writes the registry values upon deletion

I am seeking an internal tv tuner as my 25" jvc tv is about to croak. Still has great picture, though. I have HP Pavillion desktop, Win 7 Home Premium, 3.0GHz, 4GB ram, 640GB hd, an open PCI Express slot on my motherboard. According to our local cable provider, I must use their DVR to locate channel, and for programmed recording. Thus the computer tuner would only be used on ch 3 or 4 (like in the old days) to connect with computer.

whenever i try to install win 7 rc1 64bit on a freshly "formatted" partition (as windows doesn't seem to fully format them prior to selecting them) i get the above error message
i am running on a GA-M55plus-S3G
2 samsung spinpoint sata hardrives and an athlon x2 64 4200+
edit: okay so what i did now was to install an older IDE hard drive and create a new partition on there
it created 2 partitions in total
one was 100MB in size and labelled as system partition the other was the rest of the disk size (it's a 200GB WD caviar) i could start installing win 7 on the larger partition without problems
it's not the best solution as i wanted to run Windows 7 with a raid0 sata array with a new drive i am about to buy but i guess i'll have to bear for now.

I have two identical sata drives. They were previously configured at raid 0 so
reset and removed the raid config in my bios. I have a Asus p5wd2 Premium mobo.
When I try to install I get this error message
"Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate existing system partition"
I also do not see my other sata drive detected In Win 7 set up.
I tried to load some drivers from disk and from usb but it says no signed drivers were found. I am also unsure what drivers I need.
