The Calculator now even offers the advanced capabilities of scientific and statistical calculators. This tutorial will show you how to open the Calculator and change the Calculator mode to either the Standard, Scientific, Programmer, or Statistics mode.

Usually Ive got a message saying something along the lines of "this is a OS font" or "in use".Question:I noticed that my default calculator font is missing and was curious if anyone knows what font the calculator uses. I got a substituted font from the deleted one, but it looks terrible.If nobody knows the above.I went into a font deletion frenzy because I had some non-OS fonts that made my font list bulky and it took a while to scroll to the more used fonts.So I deleted some to combat this. Photoshop loads a lot faster as well due to less fonts(my little takeaway tip from all this)

MS Calculator Gives Different Answers
Dec 31, 2010If I copy paste the following line into calculator (Manually entering the numbers yields same result):1316*57000+85*142500.I get different answers.If the calculator is in standard mode, I wrongly get 10689222112500.If it is in any other mode, I correctly get 87124500.This is not a troll. No really, it isn't.It happens on a rather clean install of Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit: one on an Intel Q6600 the other on a brand new mobile AMD Athlon laptop. I have an Ultimate 32bit version that I have not tried yet.It scares me that this is reproducible on two machines and I cannot find a meaningful relationship between the two numbers.

Nov 25, 2012I've been having a few issues recently with some programs with reside within the system32 folder, as said in the title paint, notepad and calculator. Explorer is having a different issue so I'll discuss it later. The 3 programs listed are constantly crashing. Notepad and calculator are having significantly bigger issues than paint right now, however they all have the same issue. Whenever I open one of these programs, it'll either be a few letter (numbers for calculator) and it'll crash, with the generic error message "xxxx has stopped working, Windows is searching for a solution". This problem happens consistently. Explorer on the other hand, is behaving oddly. Every couple days (sometimes multiple times in a day) my toolbar will not pop itself back up (I have it set to autohide). While the trace of the hidden toolbar is visible, no moving of the mouse (even when on the desktop to avoid 'always on top' programs taking priority) on the toolbar will bring it back up. This usually results in just killing explorer.exe and re-running it.

I recently upgraded to Windows 7 Proffesional x64. I used the Asus CD to install all Asus stuff. Even the ones I don't need.
My notebook as two graphics cards. The default Intel Onboard card and the more powerful 1GB nVidia GeForce GT425M 1GB video card. Before the upgrade (which was a clean install) when I played a game (left 4 dead2, call of duty: black ops) the notebook automatically switched from the Intel to the Nvidia graphics card. But it doesn't anymore. I have read that my notebook used Nvidia Optimus technology to do this.

Feb 4, 2011I just tried to install an old IDE hard drive (via a SATA converter card ) as a slave and managed to screw up windows 7 boot-up. The system initially booted up fine but didn't see the new drive. After checking to see if all the ports were enabled in the bios I tried again. The system then didn't see any hard drives. I pulled out the IDE and re-started. The system now will see the boot hard drive but will not boot in either safe or normal modes.

Jun 5, 2012My comp broke down recently & I decided to built a new one, probably not necessary but I will add the specs below: [code] I had an old ATI Graphic Card Radeon X1300/X1500 (busted now) series card installed in my old pc, which would allow me to plug my TV with DVI-I & I could use my 23" Monitor through VGA cable in extended monitor. (& screen not referring to Cloning)However the Intel 3000 Graphic Card I am using lags alot when I play HD movies, but more importantly it doesn't allow me to use my TV output as Theater Mode.Where you play movie or video on small screen window on your primary monitor while it plays full screen on secondary screen. in ATI Cards its called Theater Mode while in Nvidia its called "Video Mirroring".Problem is New ATI or Nvidia Cards don't come with these feature anymore, I have Redeon 6790 card available but it doesn't have Theater Mode feature available, I have done 3 days worth of research so Nvidia stop the Video Mirroring feature by GForce 76xx series & ATI sort of ended by 4xxx Redeon. (I Believe)I need help finding a fast enough card that still provides Theater Mode (in 64 xp OR win 7) it can't be too old cause I do alot of Photoshop + HD Movies.
I tried using softwares like Ultra-Mon, Fusion Display & Secondary Display Video Player etc tweaked all the settings with Video Overlay etc. concluded that Intel HD Graphics series is biggest pieces of dog poo cards ever built.So please advise me which card to get which is old but fast enough & have Theater Mode or Video Mirroring feature.. (price range isn't issue nor manufacturer) however I do need to work on 64 bit to get full speed of both my processor & ram.
