View 2 RepliesI have been getting a "Windows Framework driver violation" BSOD when I am playing video games on my PC. This started after I installed Guitar Pro 6, which might be a mere coincidence or it might not be. I did the whole analysis stuff and here is the result:

I ran DriverGenius and updated all drivers that it suggested. Also ran windows update and it updated some stuff (updated everything except the language packages for windows) and still nothing. I also downloaded the latest driver for my graphics card. A beta version that just came out. The game still crashes. I have only tried playing FIFA 13 and it keeps crashing at random times. Sometimes when I am choosing the language, sometimes in the middle of a match, sometimes in the menus. Just completely random.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a home network with 4 computers; 3 wireless, 1 Ethernet. When they were all XP, things were working fine. Now 2 of the wireless systems have been upgraded to Windows 7 with the "family Pack" retail upgrade.
I believe I have made all the proper permissions and security policies, but this is not working. The Windows 7 system can access the XP system folders. but the XP systems can see the Windows 7 system but get an access violation error.
I've tried some of the suggestions in other thread, no joy. I turned off the McAfee firewall, but that doesn't help.
XP doesn't know anything about "Homegroups" I have a work group name and its set on all systems,

I have done a lot of research and found out how to do it. Create a new folder named DotNetin C: drive (C:DotNet is used in this guide, you can change to any folder you prefer, but ensure that you use correct path in the following steps). Download Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Redistributable Package (dotnetfx.exe ). Make sure the setup file is saved asdotnetfx.exe . Download Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 (NDP1.1sp1-KB867460-X86.exe ). Make sure that the file is renamed and saved asdotnetfxsp1.exe , so that the rest of the steps can be followed easily. Move both installation files into the same directory (i.e. C:DotNet), if you�re not saving them together. Open command prompt as Administrator . View 3 Replies View RelatedMy problem is that I cannot get the .NET framework 4 to install for anything. On Friday night I began installing Sharepoint Server 2010. I had a lot of problems getting Sharepoint to install since I'm on Windows 7. I ended up having to download the EasyScript on MSDN which appeared to finally work by installing all the prerequisite files that were needed. However, it installed Visual Studio 2010 Trial on my machine which then prompted SQL Server 2012 to ask for the Visual Studio SP1 before it would run. Thus begins all the frustrations that have haunted me this entire weekend. I cannot get VS 2010 or SP1 to install for anything. It is giving me an error every time (error code 643 - .NET 4.0). I have tried everything I can think of at this point.

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium (SP1) on a fairly new machine.I ran malware and McAfee scans which were all clean. I also ran Aaron Stebner's .NET Framework setup verification tool (which was clean as well).I have been using a software program that uses "Microsoft .net 3.5".We have been having some issues with the program and were advised to turn on the following Windows features:Control Panel> Programs> Windows Features>Microsoft .Net 3.5>two checkmarks below thisI have repeatedly checked these, tow at a time, one at a time, etc and the system will give me a "wait message", state that all of the features could not be started and request a re-boot. Upon a re-boot, neither of these features are checked.I have also attempted to re-install 3.5 (and the program itself). We have been unable to re-install 3.5 (it appears to start but just disappears without any confirmation whatsoever).When I look in programs I have Microsoft.Net 4.0, which apparently is the "parent" of 3.5I have also entirely removed both McAfee & Malwarebytes thinking these may have been blocking us, all to no availby the way, system restore is also failing!

MS updates for 11/14/12 included the Kernel-Mode Driver Framework version 1.11 for Win 7. This update failed to install (several times), even when done alone. View 10 Replies View RelatedMy computer has recently started to get the Black Screen of death every time I try to log in. It boots up and goes through the bios and the Windows 7 logo but after that, rather than loading the 'log-in screen' it simply stays as blank, black screen. There is no cursor, mouse, error message, etc. and Ctrl, Alt, Del does not work here either. It will however allow me to log in via 'safe mode'.
I have tried the following fixes: I have restored the computer to a known working date; I have tried repairing the MBR, as well as the Boot sector; I have run a 'Check Disk' with no errors coming back; I have tried the 'Prevx Black Screen Fix'; I have run a 'Memory diagnostics test' via Windows 7 live cd, which returned no errors; and I have also tried the 'Repair' option in the menu on the Windows 7 live cd.
Now, every once in a while, it will actually make it to the log-in screen and let me log into Windows like normal, which then proceeds to work just fine. But, if I restart the computer, it will again get stuck at the Black Screen right before the log-in screen and just sit there. And all the fans are working, the green light comes on on the motherboard, and everything seems to be in working order as far as hardware goes. What could be the problem?? I am out of ideas at this point.

I have an ACER ASPIRE 5739G running Windows 7 64-bit.No changes were made on the laptop over the past 2 months, suddenly I started to encounter the "blue screen of death" once every few days, randomly when browsing the internet (no other software was running). It started to do this more frequently, within 1 hour of EVERY startup, I then performed a system restore and now the blue screen appears within 30 seconds of every startup, as well as Safe Mode.The blue screen appears for 15 seconds, the laptop then restarts.I have attached an image of the blue screen below:I know the most obvious solution will be to re-format the hard drive, as the computer is rebooting within 30 seconds of each start up as well as safe mode.Is there any way for me to browse the hard drive on the laptop without loading up the OS, to transfer to another laptop/external HD?I have a couple of really vital documents (only 10mb worth), although the laptop reboots before I have the chance to transfer them to a USB stick.If there was a way to transfer these files, I would be more than happy to re-format the laptop.

Following that, I reinstalled Malware bytes, ad-aware, and spybot and did full scans/immunizations with each. I think I had one hit with spybot in my cookies? Nothing like a keylogger.A few days later, after my first reboot to install a flash update or something, I got the Black Screen with cursor after bootup. It actually took a really long time to go black - there was a lot going on. A couple updates were downloading/ installing, but then after like 5 minutes of non-responsive explorer (couldn't open start menu) it went to Black Screen with cursor. Happened again upon reboot.Booted to safe mode with networking, found a forum post that mentioned something about dll access permissions. I loaded up that section, fixed my administrator permissions to all. It did some things, but threw errors for C:\windows\system32 and C:\program files(x86), if I remember correctly.Tried rebooting normally, it worked. Couple days later, automatic windows update rebooted my computer, and my mouse (razer) stopped working. I believe this is a driver issue, as I had the same problem when I first installed the mouse. The buttons work fine but it doesn't pick up the movement.I'm worried I haven't fixed the issue completely, and I'm not entirely sure where it came from in the first place. It should be noted that I don't have easy access to another system to boot under to change the drive permissions that way.
