View 5 RepliesI am having some troubles on my PC where a BSOD appears everytime I turn on the computer, just before the icons appear or the start bar, I cannot even get onto safemode to debug this and remove/update drivers etc.I have included the directory MiniDump which I obtained by using a bootable linux CD.There isn't much else I can say as it started happening quite suddenly.I have run SeaTools and MemCheck and neither of these brought up any errors.
View 8 Replies View Relatedinitially my comp would just crash and i would have to power off to reboot. now im getting bsods instead, i have tried to work out the cause of these by myself but they all apear to be caused by different problems. i have looked at a lot of other bsod threads and i have used verifier.exe which created one of the memdumps.
i seem to get them whilst playing games such as lol or fallout or watching Internet videos, but sometimes i have had them for no reason at startup. i have done a fair amount of virus and malware scanning just incase it was somthing like that but its most probably a driver? i have uploaded the bsod files,
Almost every time I close a certain game my computer BSOD's. It only happens during this one game ( ShotOnline ) Which uses GameGuard. Here are my mini dump files if they are helpful at all. It's a MEMORY_MANAGEMENT BSOD. It happens on 2 different desktops.

Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit, 4 GIG of DDR2 ram, 300GIG Sata HD, AMD Athlon II X4 propus, Radeon GT 545. IT happens on both of my desktop computers.
It's my first time posting! I've been browsing this forum and many sites on google trying to find the solution to my problem, but I can't really understand what is going on, even when taking a look at the dump file. I ran memtest, did all the usual things, but no sign of source of error to pin point. Every single time I put my laptop to sleep and keep it like that for longer amount of time (I think it's about 20 minutes) I can't get my laptop back from sleep in a normal fashion. What I mean is, that the screen never turns back off, stays completely black, my external monitor doesn't turn on either, just goes to idle mode. After reboot I get a message that there was a blue screen error and I can try to look for solution online. I read that my SSD HDD might be the cause of it, but after updating the firmware the problem persisted and after looking at my memory dumps, I found out that DirectX kernel is causing the problems, but updating it didn't yield any results, the problem persists, so perhaps I am missing something in the dumps that aren't that obvious to spot.My RAM aren't stock that came with computer, both chips 4GB each are aftermarket ones, but I have no issues with anything when using the computer except when it is waking up and MEMTEST didn't throw me any errors after an overnight pass.

The new SSD is my boot drive with a legit Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. I have the repair discs also if necessary.Problem = Many, but not all, of my wakes from sleep result in a blue screen of death. (I have no other BSODs)Also, this never happened using my old HDD.Two recent BSODs with different error codes = [URL]I have installed the MOBO CD drivers and the latest NVIDIA GPU drivers and latest SSD firmware (before OS install). Are there any other drivers I might have missed?SFC /SCANNOW detects no integrity violations.CHKDSK on both the SSD and HDD detects no problems.Windows Memory Diagnostic detects no problems.
My problem usually comes when I put my computer to sleep, and then wake it up. Instead of just jumping right to the desktop screen, it now goes back to the motherboard screen and does a resuming windows operation that takes 5x as long as it used to.
Sometimes this problem causes the computer to simply restart and get a BSOD, when I am in the process of resuming windows.
EDIT: I believe I have actually gotten 2 separate BlueScreen reports during this... d1 1033, and 1e 1033.

I have a repeatable BSOD every time I wake my machine
Hardware has been running 7229 x64 without issue.
The BSOD seems to be random.
With other apps open, I never have a problem (put the machine to sleep and woke it 20 times with different combos of apps open )
With media center, I have the problem with fullscreen or windowed and whether it is in focus or not.
Did not have this problem with 7201 (did not check with 7229).
Anyone have any suggestions?

I went to the "Network" Folder and clicked on his printer. Windows 7 automatically installed the driver, it worked flawlessly. Later After I went Home, I decided to remove the printer, since that was a one time event. I went to remove the device from devices and printers, and after I removed the device, I refreshed the list, and it reappears! View 1 Replies View RelatedFor some reason, seemingly out of nowhere, everything I put on my desktop appears also as a duplicate in My Pictures folder. These duplicates are not copies; what you do to them affects their desktop counterparts. This means I cannot move, rename, or delete them without the desktop files being affected. It's as though my Desktop were somehow linked to that folder.
View 5 Replies View RelatedIn the Windows Explorer, if I click on "Libraries" nothing shows up - it appears empty. However, if I search for a file I know to be in Libraries, I can find it via the search window. If I look at its location in the search, it certainly looks like the file is in the right location... I can even right-click on the file and" go to the location". When I do so, the window opens and is still empty. The location is, for example, LibrariesDocumentsMy Documents.
If I navigate up one level to "Documents" by clicking on it in the address bar, this too is empty, even though clearly there was "My Documents" there just a second ago.
I think the problem happened when I tried to view hidden files in the Libraries folder.
My computer has had problems starting up. On some occasions, I will get to the Welcome screen, and it will just sit there as long as I keep the computer on. Sometimes, it will get past the Welcome screen only to get to a black screen with no desktop or toolbar. To get it to work, I have to start the computer in safe mode and then restart it. I thought it was a virus, so I did a scan with my antivirus (Avast) but it did not detect anything.
View 7 Replies View RelatedFor some time I have noticed that, when completing dialogue boxes, it would look as if a key had stuck and that letter/symbol would start to run across the box like this until I hit another key. This happened randomly and with different keys. I tried altering repeat rates etc but it made no difference.
Assuming it was the, wired, Microsoft Comfort keyboard I splashed out and bought a new Micosoft Arc wireless keyboard a month ago. Expensive but a lovely keyboard however, you guessed, the same problem!
Out of interest I wrote to Microsoft for help. They sent me a new keyboard and told me to throw the old one away!
Initially, it only appeared on first boot (before Windows logo loading screen) and after restart system booted up normally. For some 4-5 days now, it crashes with a BSOD and after restart the system freezes on desktop. One more restart and works again.Sometimes just a black screen appears and everything stops, before the desktop is loaded. It has also happened that the laptop hangs on BIOS logo.BSOD error messages I managed to record are1) IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL 0x000000D1 [...] igdlkmd32.sys2) BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER STOP 0x000000FE [...] USBPORT.SYS3) Empty BSOD with only 1 line: 'STOP 0x000000314) MEMORY MANAGEMENT 0x0000001AI updated the drivers with Driver Genius, some other driver update software and also performed some online driver scans.Memtest results - No errors found.Ran thorough diskcheck in Windows.Windows was reinstalled recently, problems remained. The system has been sent for diagnostics and repair several times, specialists say they see nothing wrong with it. And when I take it home it crashes again.

This is the antivirus programme F-Prot Antivirus for Windows 6.A log obtained from msinfo32 shows the following:

As I do not use the Sidebar is it possible that Windows is trying to start it causing the delay? If so, how do I disable the autorun registry entries? I have no recall of how or even if I disabled the sidebar from loading.

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy problem is, that after being on my computer for awhile, the English layout will appear out of nowhere in the language bar, even though I do not have it activated, so there is no way I can get rid of it, except for restarting my computer. Does anyone know how I could get it to stop doing this? To most people it probably wouldn't be a problem, but it bothers me to have it there when I won't use it, and I always make extensive use of keyboard shortcuts, and skipping from one layout to another a lot, so it makes it harder and longer to switch between them. I have included a picture to illustrate this.
Also, to avoid making two threads (unless I should), does anyone know how to edit the layouts of the Korean IME's layout, so I can have the Korean characters in a custom layout, instead of the prescribed way?
I have 4 GB ddr3 on my viewsonic (viewbook vnb145) Core I3 laptop.Windows Seven Ultimate 64bits says: 4GB (2.93 usable).The 2 ddr3 (2GB each), work correctly regardless if I take one out, Windows 7 detects 2GB.Dont know what else to do, I reinstalled Windows 7 64bit twice.The 1gb ram missing appears as Hardware reserverd.when I install 2gb into the laptop... Windows 7 says 2GB (1,86 usable), thats ok for video sharing..But when I install both ddr3, 2+2, (4gb)..Windows 7 says 4GB (2.93 usable).
