It failed to install the video driver.
Only one that worked was 9-1_vista32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu_74233 but has a few bugs:

driver that will get my Sony Vaio VGN-BX396XP to run its native 1280 x 800 res in Windows 7 - W7 is telling me that its got a 'Generic Non-PnP Monitor on Standard VGA Graphics Adaptor, which it hasn't - it has an ATI Mobility Rareon X1600 (with HyperMemory - nice.). I guess it may be a memory issue, so perhaps I need to upgrade the Graphics card or allocate the Graphics Adaptor with more system RAM?

Before I can install windows I have to upload the RAID drivers for my motherboard. There's 2 folders x86 and x64. I want x64, except only the x86 drivers will load. Even when I click "Load drivers that aren't compatible." the x64 drivers don't show up. View 4 Replies View Relatedin the middle of listening to a song on spotify yeserday, the audio suddenly cut off and i got an error message on spotify saying "there is a problem with your sound card. spotify can't play music." and upon trying to listen to music on Internet and itunes, there was also no sound.however, when i change the volume on my screen or turn on/off stickykeys, the sound works. the volume buttons on my laptop do not work.i tried uninstalling my driver, and it has said (multiple times) that the driver is still installed, even after rebooting. when i try to reinstall, i get the error message 5006, with no error details. the driver is listed in my device manager, and it says it is functioning properly.

When I go into device manager my Sound, Video and Game controllers is missing from the drop down list. Got the drivers and software from the dell website and when i open the dell webcam software it says that the webcam is not supported. In the device manager it just cums up with intergrated cam and does not let me upgrade drivers or change them.
View 2 Replies View RelatedHave just installed Windows 7 Home Premium, I installed my Belkin F5D7000 PCI wireless internet adaptor drivers, installed the card when prompted and when I rebooted, the computer got to the starting windows screen then booted again and went into black screen mode giving me the option of starting windows normally (didn't work) or system repair, system repair then did a system restore and therefore I lost the drivers. I reinstalled the drivers and it all works so long as I don't turn my PC off. I have tried to use windows device manager to update the drivers but it reckons they're up to date.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have two different ATI cards installed in one system, each with their own 22" HP LCD. One is an ATI FireGL V5600 for my CAD applications and the other is an X1900XT for Left4Dead. When I ran Windows Update after I installed Windows 7, it immediately downloaded an updated driver for the V5600 (8.623, I think) but when it installed it, it disabled the X1900XT.
I went to the Device Manager, uninstalled the X1900XT, then Scanned for Hardware Changes, it finds the X1900XT, installs the driver and it works again. Unfortunately, it also reverts the driver for the V5600 back to 8.56.1.15 which isn't even a valid driver for the V5600 as seen on this page.
I'm not sure why I can't have independent drivers for each card. I know for a fact that this is supported in XP as I have my system dual booting with XP and it work perfectly there (see photo 1 and photo 2 it's hard to tell, but both of those screenshots are from XP with each card having independent drivers). The downside is that my CAD apps don't recognize the V5600 with driver 8.56.1.15 as the workstation card it is, and my graphics are severely crippled in those apps.
I would like to report this to Microsoft, but unlike in RC1 there is no way to report a bug.
I go to install the drivers and i reboot, yes i did everything correctly. even tryed vista drivers. I try to open up ATI control panel which is showing that its there and i get an error message. I goto the directx tool and its showing nothing for my display. which is very odd? It shows my card in device manager. Somehow i think my card and the drivers are not connecting. Ive tried to clean install the drivers probably 10 different times and nothing has worked.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am not at all very good with computers, it even took me a minute to figure out my OS lol! but i have a serious problem: My USB drivers are no longer reading my phones and other devices the message i get is "USB Device Not Recognized", When i click the message and go through the troubleshoot it gets no where. It's like my computer doesn't even realize that the devices and drivers are malfunctioning, also i don't know if it is related but it seems like files, apps and folders are constantly being deleted without my consent and no one else has access to my pc. i suspect foul play hidden in my system.

I went to plug a usb hub into it and thats when it stopped working . it is on the right side where there are 2 ports. the one on the left side still works but this is annoying that I am always having to use a hub for everything and it slows things down . When I use a Linux partition (starting from DVD, "Knoppix") it works also fine. Also at bootloader leval its ok.But at Windows 7 it stopps working. Does not matter which keyboard I use -USB or PS/2.

The problem is that I'm unable to watch videos or listen to music after about 2 hours of usage. I've read about issues with Nvidia drivers and RDP not working, but this was mainly for Windows XP.
Just wondered if anyone else has the same problem, or could test to see if they can replicate.
It is now running on Win 7 sp1 (afaik) with all the latest updates installed. This is why it has not just been brought back to the shop where it was purchasedMy problem is that I cannot play audio through the laptops own speakers. When in a very quiet room you can hear faint crackling from the speakers when they are turned up fully. If you plug in headphones or hdmi, the either will work perfectly no problem with sound. I have the latest Realtek audio driver for my computer installed and I have spent the last week checking and re checking all of the sound settings.The computer says that the device is ''working properly'' when I troubleshoot it.
