I keep getting this problem whenever I play any games, mostly World of Warcraft. I always get the BSOD! It's the most annoying thing in the world. I just upgraded to 7 yesterday and I downloaded the new drivers from their site.
I just did a clean install of Windows 7 Professional on my laptop and for the most part everything went extremely smooth. I just have one question, what is the most recent edition of the driver for my GPU? Is it 8.632 as provided by my laptop manufacturers website?
I had windows 7 installed on my system by the local Staples Office store yesterday. When they installed it my Vid card, a ATI Radeon 4650HD (1gig) was already plugged into the motherboard.
I've tried installing both the drivers and the CCC for the card but it doesn't seem to be recognized by windows 7. When i go into the device manager under Display Adapters it reads "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter". I had thought that under Windows XP when i looked there it recognized my card, am I installing the drivers wrong? Is windows not seeing them?
I'm currently using xp home edition and I just bought the SAPPHIRE RADEON HD 4650 1G AGP. The current version of my driver is 8.620.0.0. I found out that there was new updates for the driver. When I tried to make them a bug came in my system. I tried manually to locate the files for the update but still didn't work.
I just recently bought another card to xfire for my rig. Since ive done this however my games randomly freeze or bsod, or freeze with a loud buzz until i shut my rig down.. i think its a driver issue, because it used to do it when i had 1 card and i bumped it down to like 11.10 and everything worked fine.. but when i got the new card, apparently 11.10 didnt support xfire.. so i had to update to 11.12.
I installed a Radeon ATI XFX HD 4650 PCI, 2DDR, 1gig, video card into my vista desktop 3 months ago, and it worked perfectly. I only needed it to run 2 mintors a dvi and a vga. Yesterday I attempted to install Windows 7 and both screens went black. The device manager was unable to locate any video cards at all (the original had been removed).
I called Dell, and they told me that the card was not recognized, and therefore not compatible with "7". Then I called Radeon, and they said it was definitely compatible. The bottom line is I had to do a system restore to get back to Vista where all worked well again. i really need "7".
I have installed win 7 about 4 weeks ago and I have a hp laptop dv5115nr which uses the ati mobility radeon xpress 200, win 7 uses some generic driver which is ok but not what I am used to (xp pro), is there a a site to download the driver free?
i have Windows 7 ultimate x64 and the drivers to run my ATI Radeon 4870 work and have already been installed when i switched to windows 7 from windows vista.
I try to download the control center where i can overclock and change settings for my PC and whenever they start to install i get the blue screen and my comp restarts... What can i do?
p.s i did go to windows 7 x64 on the drivers list on the ATI wedsite and didn't accidentally click another OS

I have this computer:Pentium(R) dual core CPU e5300 @ 2.60GHz 2.60 GHz(RAM) 3.00GBAti radeon HD 4350 512 ram When I try to, for example, create a planet in photoshop(small document) at the end when I try to save my work I get a message that there is not enough memory and couple of hours work goes to waste. Is it possible somehow to tweak my Windows 7 so I can do this?Pleasae I just got this upgrade few months ago and I don't have resources to do a new one.
I purchased a Radeon HD 5770 not to long ago, I just tried to install it but windows does not recognize it! I Know people had trouble with this is the past but with other cards. I Have Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.
i got in a trade my Laptop which is a Toshiba Satellite L650D-038 ( Not Sure about the -038 ) and i got it with Windows Vista 64Bit and erreased it for installing Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit what worked all very well but when the windows installation finished i noticed that the driver for the graphic card was not installed and also the wireless and ethernet driver was not installed so i checked in different forums and find out that the drivers doesnt come with windows 7 for this Laptop so i got the respective drivers all from the respective publishers and install them. The glitch or Wobbles happens all the time in games in browsers at Word and also here by making this question in the forum, it stops or freezes like 2-6 seconds and then goes on like nothing and then like 1-2 min later it comes again or also earlier. I installed already the drivers from the publishers and also the ones from Windows Update but noon helped me really.

I'm using an LG 60LD550 on Radeon HD 6450 to watch movies. I have installed a new MOBO/CPU which required a graphics card which I was not planning on so I grabbed a cheap one till I decide which dual cards I want to run when I get yet a newer MOBO and 8 core CPU in the coming months.I have set up the following presets in AMD Vision Engine Control Center
When I switch to the LG Preset I get a picture in multicolor fuzz I can barely see. It defaults to 1080p/60hz. When I change it to 30hz the picture clears up but does not take up the whole screen. In about 2 minutes the setting reset back to 60hz and it starts all over again. I can't seem to do anything to make the setting work. Could it possibly be the crappy video card I chose?I had the same TV hooked up to my old setup and everything worked fine. Here is my old set up.
MOBO - ASUS M4A785-M Graphics - Integrated
Presets - Same as above. 60" worked fine. No fuzz and used the entire screen.
Okay ive been searching the internet (and this forum ) for a driver for my ATI Radeon 9800 Pro.
I know its an old card.. but its still decent.
ATI have put it under the Legacy support list? but if i try and install that.. Windows 7 wants to tell me that the Microsoft Corporation WDDM Driver is better and wont let me install it.
is there a work around this?
And is it possible to get Aero Support with this Graphics card?
I went from Windows XP Media Center x32 to Windows 7 Ultimate x32 on my HP Pavillion a1230n, and so I really want to upgrade my graphics card. Is there anything I can do to upgrade it?
I have a Radeon 5700 graphics card. I currently have two screens running off DVI ports. My graphics card also has a HDMI and DisplayPort available. I know that my 3rd screen needs to be running from the DP connection to facilitate 3 screens. owever, my screen only has HDMI and VGA inputs. So I bought a cord that went from DP to HDMI so that it could go directly from my tower to my screen without any adaptors. However, It still wont work! Apparently, I need some sort of 'active DisplayPort adaptor'. But my cable output to screen is HDMI. Is there an 'active adaptor' that is DP but goes from HDMI to HDMI? That seems like a very obsure thing to exist.
In devicemanager i have displayer Radeon 9600 tx (microsoft corporation - WDDM) but on the symbol is a yellow sign with a exlamation mark in it. Rightclick+properties tell me:
"Dieses Gerät wurde angehalten, weil es Fehler gemeldet hat. (Code 43)"
Furthermore it seems i have no advanced graphics. e.g. i cant change display resolution.
I play games sometimes on the weekend. The fan of card is a bit noisy. And the temperature reached 70*c wille playing nearly all the games.Should I replace the fan or the card? If I sell the video card now,how much is it worth? It still looks like a new card. If I update the card to a better one.
I have an Acer Aspire 7750G-6662. It has switchable graphics with Intel Graphics as well as AMD Radeon 6650M 2GB VRAM.I've already solved my first obstacle, which was how to set my laptop to only run the Radeon Graphics.
To make long story short, I need to buy this old ATI Radeon 7000 but I want to make sure that this card is supported by windows 7.
I search for official driver from AMD but seems they no longer support it but I found the driver for windows 7 on the net. ATI Radeon 7000 drivers. Can someone please confirm it works with Windows 7?
i have just installed windows 7 on an older system with a radeon 9250 128mb agp video card.
i tried installing the latest catalyst driver package just to see if they would work but they didn't detect the card, and i couldn't manually update the drivers via device manager since the card would not see any compatible drivers.
is there any supported drivers avaialble for this card for windows 7?
