View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a desktop using Windows Vista and a laptop using Windows 7. Is there a simple (or not too difficult) way to transfer photos from one computer to the other. I've found myself using my laptop more than I thought I would and now need the photos stored there on my desktop.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a problem getting Media Center to display my Photos showing the individual photos contents of each folder.I am running Windows 7 HP 64 bit with all updates. My MEDIA (movies, music & photos) are on a separate hdd (M). Each of the media formats has it's own folder on the M drive, Movies, Music & Photos. I have no problem with the movies or the music. However, when I choose "pictures" in Windows Media Center only the individual photos folders are shown....no photos are shown in these folders. I see the individual folders but no contents. I have set up "Libraries" on the C: drive; Music, Video & Photos. When I click on photos in the "Libraries" all the photos folders are show each with it's own photos. I have "Shared" these libraries as well as each folder on the Media drive M. The format of the individual photos is jpg. I have run SFC/Scannow.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been using my parents computer for the last few months and decided to make my own user/log-in the other day. After doing so, I cut/pasted my photos folder into my new user directory (or whatever, I'm not very techie..). I have thousands of photos, my BF is a photographer, and I can view most of them. However, in one particular folder 90% of them aren't viewable! Says I don't have permission... When I log back into parents windows, I can see the photos in my directory (as they are no longer located in theirs) but there are little gold padlocks on the ones I cannot see on my log-in. I've tried changing permissions, ownership, you name it.. I've looked for help on line and tried everything. The only thing that seems to work is if I right click on each individual photo and change things that way.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I installed Win 7 and I was all happy, fresh stuff and all. Well the problem was when I started playing games and the fps dropped to 60. I know my laptop is not that good but I know it can run CS 1.6 at 100 fps. Anyway, that was not really a problem at some games but it sure was at CS 1.6, everyone that plays CS 1.6 knows that having 60 fps at that game is really annoying. I realized that was Vertical-Sync ON, but at the game options there is no option to turn that off. So huh what to do? Yea laugh at my face I'm such a newbie but I really wanna fix this so yea..
Here's some informations about my laptop:
Processor: Intel Core Duo CPU T2700
@ 2.33GHz 2.33 GHz
Installed memory (RAM): 2,00 GB
System type: 32-bit Operating System

I have a Dell n5110 i5(intel HD 3000 graphics),that I bought last year to assist me with my studies. I didn't care much about the graphics when I purchased it.I'm not a hardcore gamer, but I read that I should have bought a laptop with a better card graphics if I was to play the latest games.Of all the games I would have liked to play GTA 4. I know its not possible with what I have. I intend to have it with me for a longtime even if I don't get to play the latest games(I can play older ones like Hitman blood money).I'm curious, since I haven't found the answer elsewhere, whether it is possible to have a gaming card graphics added one day for the model of laptop I have.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSee, I have a AM3+ motherboard, and currently a FX 6200 clocked at 4.2GHz, thing is, I feel when I try to play say BF3 on a 32 man server, My pc run's smooth, yet come to a 64 man server, My PC feels sluggish and well fails. Now I know Its going to effect my FPS and CPU usage with what settings in game am I running, well Ultra I don't use I mainly use a mix of medium and high, to Me its all about performance before eye candy, but BF3 seems to have no performance boost the lower I turn the settings down, I mean with one card I get 98-99% usage but in SLI I get 50% on each card with v sync disabled and on ultra I have even tried with settings on low and enabling v sync, lol that is just worse! I have been told the higher the settings, the higher the usage, and my cpu seems to be lagging behind.I know there is things to take into consideration like the Ram, Graphics, Hard drives, Lag ect, But I'm running two GTX 480's, 2 Velociraptor Hdd, 16GB Corsair Dominator Ram, a Corsair HX 1050w psu and Windows 8.Come January I'm planning a upgrade, but what My dilemma is should I move to Intel has I feel my issue is a major bottleneck with the 480's and my CPU, I don't want to buy a 200 cpu (8350) and a few months down the line have to invest in a Intel because the Pile driver has failed like the Bulldozer did! Or just upgrade to a Intel i5 or i7, I mainly game but do video work as well, even considering getting a i7 2600k or 2700k,
