I have made my yahoo email account my default in outlook on my computer. Now, if I have opened an email in outlook, it no longer shows up when I log in to yahoo on a remote computer ? How can I fix this?

I am using Windows 7 and every time I try to open Outlook 2007 (and sometimes some of the other office programs), it will only open up half way? Inasmuch as it opens to the full width from side to side but I always have to resize it for the height as in top to bottom. This has happened with a few programs but some of these seem to have sorted themselves out but most definately not Office 2007! It's really weird and I am getting fed up with having to keep opening the program up manually, to get it showing fully on the monitor. I don't like it opened maximised (as in no edges to the opened program) as I like it to show the edges, so that the transparency on the edges and rounded corners show when fully opened. It may be a bug but being a bit of a 'divvy' with things like this

I have a data transfer file from my old and now dead computer that includes Microsoft Outlook mail personal folders and mail. I am unable to open the .pst file with any existing extension or program offered by vista. When I open with Windows mail, I only get current, newly opened Windows Mail and new messages from last two days. I have all my work search information and my divorce e-mail files. However the folder for email is now on his desktop, and is called Old Email backup. I know that one of these days he is going to delete it and wonder where his email went. What is the default folder it should have created the email in? I will move it there.

View 4 Replies View RelatedProblem Blue Screen. No new hardware or software installed recently, last Windows vista update was on 01/15. When I start first, PC passes user registration (boots fine) and
does the normal stuff like loading software and starting the wireless internet connection via Netgear, opening some windows/programms I will close. All normal, but than comes a Blue Screen and very fast shut down of system with restart. Hardly can read the message...Look like Blue Screen appears when to much action is going on like opening of IE and Outlook... or open to many windows... or some bad programm/hardware is booting. But when I restart, restart gives a different blue screens and trouble is much earlier or directly after registering to the system.
But all starting or booting turn slower, real slow now. Start in --safe mode with net working-- the PC works, but the PC can't handle heavy workloads, is really slow in action. I cannot open --My pictures-- to see all picture files displyed on screen (2.7 GB) (the process trying to access the files in safe mode is real slow) and when I attempt to transfer the file to a USB stick, the computer is stopping in middle of action (after 50% transfer)..........
I have decided to use Windows mail instead of outlook 2007 because every few days I get the "restrictions prevent opening of the links etc". and have great difficulty in regaining function. I have successfully transferred my messages and my contacts. I have exported in the "rules" for mail to a thumb drive, but I cannot for the life of me import them into Windows mail. Is there perhaps the way of importing the message rules from Outlook 2007 to Windows mail?

Two issues that have been coming up for me are that my email settings in Outlook won't allow me to bring in my email (IMAP/SMTP set up) and the second is that any time I try to change my office assistant it keeps telling me I don't have enough memory (!). What's going on with this? After all, this is a 3 GB machine, things that worked on my 1 GB shouldn't have a problem.

I have an HP Pavilion dv9000 laptop with Windows Vista x64 and MS Office 2007 Outlook. I've spent hours w/ HP and AT&T tech support, but can't resolve the problems (Email & %APPDATA%). HP wants me first to restore my laptop to its originally shipped configuration (I'd prefer not to if I can) and AT&T wants $99 for advanced support.
View 7 Replies View RelatedFacing problems regarding searching email in Microsoft Outlook. I think this is due to Indexing. I have tried to rebuild the Indexing but it shows 0 item indexed all the time. Now my questions are as below:
1) How much time it takes to rebuild the Indexing ? My approx. MS Outlook .pst file size is around 2.8 GB.
2) i had a virus called warm.silly.nisan in SeachProtocolHost.exe. Does this effect indexing or searching email in MS Outlook ?
3) I was stressed due to this problem and tryied to "rebuild" Indexing but it was taking more than 24 hrs and so i went to Indexing options in Control panel and then in advance options i did "Restore Defaults". Which also took to much time and all the times it shows "o items indexed". Can anyone tell me what is the acually problem in indexing ?
4) Do this indexing has any relation with "regedit". If yes then what are the files in regedit i have to check and for what parameters.?
Outlook Express won't send my email MOST of the time. Occasionally it will send it but most of the time it just goes to my out box and just sits there. Eventually, it goes but sometimes it's hours later or even the next day. I had Norton but got rid of it (with their uninstall tool) and now have AVG. The error messages I get vary but usually say something about not being able to connect with the server or the server unexpectedly terminating the connection.

You can get all of the email account setup information from your emailprovider, usually your ISP (Internet Service Provider). They should have a webpage on their support site for how to setup and email account in Outook Express with full instructions on how to do it. Windows Mail uses the same settings. If you can tell us who your email provider is, someone should be able to post a link to their email account setup instructions webpage for you.
