I need my SB Audigy 2sz to play sounfonts. There is no soundfont bank manager software available for Vista 64. When I load my sounfont player into cakewalk studio; either using Sfz software or loading into midi channels I get a message saying there isn't enough memory. How can I increase the soundfont chache level on my SB card without software? Can I do it in registry?
View 5 RepliesIf I run the default Vista audio drivers the output volume on my external speakers is very low (i would guess 10% of maximum) with all volume controls set to maximum. Double and Triple Checked - but no change. I have read here an in other forums to try updating to the new Realtek Audio drivers. I have done so, but when I do all of the volume comes from the internal speaker only on the tower. No audio coming out of external speakers. The Realtek Audio Manager in the system tray show a red (ish) speaker.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm curious on what temps I should be cautious of reaching? I have a Intel Centrino 2 Duo P7350 2.0GHz. I've overclocked it to 2.4GHz and ran Orthos and about 3-4 minutes I checked HWMonitor. I was reaching temps around 75 Celsius (167 degrees Fahrenheit) on the CPU. So my question is, is that a safe temp to operate at and what is the "danger level" I should be concerned about?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded to Vista U x64 and am having sound problems. I have a prelude x-fi sound card but the sound coming out of it is extremely low. I have maxed out every thing I can max (control panel sound, creative panel) and the sound level is whisper quiet. I have also upgraded all my drivers except the prelude's, I would but their website isn't offering those drivers at the moment. But the drivers supplied with the card are vista certified so I should get something. But my mobo, etc is all updated. I have been searching for a solution for two days to no avail.

I intend to buy Windows 7 when it becomes available and wish to minimize my system upgrade problems as much as possible. Based on my understanding I would have to do a complete harddrive erase to install Win 7 and then reinstall all my applications. If possible and practical I'd like to upgrade XP to Vista and then Vista to Windows 7. My question am I likely to have problems going from a current up to date version of XP to a 2+ year old version of Vista which would require many updates to bring up to the current level?.

How to increase the shrink space. I have lenovo Y410. Its hard Drive is partitioned in three parts: 20 GB C Drive - primary drive where i have my OS, one of 117 GB D drive just another partition for data and one more 10 GB for recovery. What i need is to shrink D drive to 107 GB and create a new drive of about 10 GB. but the problem is that disk management says that it can only be shrinked to about 2.6 GB ----So what to do....plz tell me. I am an avid World of Warcraft and Counterstrike player. I want to improve the performance of my system. Frame rates stink when the graphics are maxed. This system should be performing a lot better. Sometime frame rates drop to 20FPS. Been reading a lot of stuff on-line about improving performance. First off when I run SLI mode games usually lock-up. Been told by Blizzard tech support that they don't support SLI. Ready to pull my hair out!

I have a 120gb hard drive with around 20gb free at any one time. I have noticed that most of the time I only have one automatically created restore point. I am aware that the number of restore points is dependant on free hard drive space, however I had many more available restore points under Windows XP with same amount of free hard drive space. Is there a way I can increase the amount of space available to System Restore? I have looked at the settings and can't find anything.
