I have moved and changed email services. All my efforts to change the default servers for window mail to my new email address have failed. I keep getting an authentication error message referring to my old email adress and saying it does not recognize it, which of course it will not as I no longer use that email address or server. I have deleted the old account and added the new one in windows mail but that has not helped. I still cannot send emails through widows mail.
When I open my windows mail it is only checking my first email, not the 2nd. When I go to webmail for the 2nd email address, the emails are there, but even if I leave them as unmarked, they don't appear in my windows mail. I do have the "include this account when receiving mail" checkbox ticked
I have a blueyonder email address but prefer to read emails in windows mail but my emails are going to my virgin mailbox and and I would like to make windows mail my default mailbox,
I have several email accounts configured on my windows mail on my Vista home premium and one of them is configured as the default email. When I reply to emails received on email accounts other than the default email the "from" email address does not change to the email address of the received account.
I understand that the email address in the "from' field when I start a "new" message or create mail is that of the configured default email. My question is while replying to an email received in other configured accounts should not the "from" field email id change from the default email id to the email address of the email to which is replied.
I'm experiencing a similar issue to a number of people on this forum where I am unable to send emails on my Vista Home Windows Mail. Every one of them comes back with a failed delivery notification. These are addresses that I send to almost daily. These aol users are able to send me emails but I am unable to even reply to them.
I am also receiving the following error message when I try to send an email.

I have been on the phone with my service provider and they have checked everything on their end and said that it is a problem with Microsoft. I have also, after reviewing other posts, changed my port from 25 to 80 & 587 and neither have fixed the problem. I have also uninstalled my antivirus program. Still nothing.

Whenever i create a new email by click "To" to open up my address book for selecting any email address, or when i use "reply all" and want to add in some more email address from the address book, the computer start to run and till it stuck, so the only choice for me is to end this task and type email address instead of selecting email address from address book.
i thought that this is because i got too many email address, thus i deleted most of it and now only got 700 email address inside my address book, i just can not understand that when outlook express can take more than 3000 email address book, but windows mail can not take about 700 email address book. And somemore, this email address book is just useless for me, because whenever i want to use the address book, the windows mail is going to hang... and the only choice is to go to task manager, end this task and restart my windows mail.
I am using Gmail with Windows Mail and can receive messages. However, when I compose messages in Windows Mail, they sit in the Out Box with the "Connection to server has failed" message. This is a brand new set-up. How do I adjust settings and to which setting?
Need directions to remove a former friend's email address from my address bar. Whenever I create a message to someone with an address starting with the same first letter, his email address also shows up.
as I investigated the Kerberos implementation in Vista, Vista is NOT willing to use Kerberos against an IP address. I was not able to make Vista uses Kerberos against IP address not even by creating SPN for the IP address. Although windows XP actually try to generate a ticket even for IP addresses, and if an appropriate SPN is available, they receive the ticket, Vista doesn't seam to do it under any circumstances, right? Vista just doesn't ask for a ticket for an IP address at all.
Trouble getting new email address (hotmail.com) recognized as default email. Tried all methods posted on forums: tools option and control panel. Control panel default settings will not allow option to disable Windows Mail. (grayed out). Register Hotmail software says only Vista but I am using Vista. Also cannot open old email program (Windows Mail) : getting error message MSOE.DLL 0x8007002: Checked and followed all advice on forums. Have also stopped virus software from scanning emails.
