Clone: Can't Find Winloader.exe Error
Mar 26, 2008I cloned my vista hdd today as I bought a larger drive. However when I boot up I get a can't find winloader.exe error. I dont have the Vista CD so cant repair it.

May 11, 2008I realize this may be off topic but I don't find any place to post it. I am trying to do a DOS coy command that combines a number of files into single one. This syntax works if I am in the directory where the files are located: Copy *.csv Prices.txt But if I am in another folder and try to put a path to it like copy C:FinanceMutual FundsGet Prices*.csv Prices.txt It always says it cannot find the file. I KNOW the location IS correct. Is there some error in the syntax that can cause this?

Mar 23, 2008I had an Vista 32 bit version installed and which was used fine.3 days before I had upgrade my PC's memory to 4G, then I find Vista 32 Bit version can not recognize all the memory.So I try to install an Vista 64 Bit version for the test to check if the 64 bit system is ok for me.
The problem is, Vista 32 was installed on to the 3rd partition of the harddisk,usually the drive letter will be E in Windows XP and previous version windows, although it in Vista it display as C drive. I tried to install the 64 Bit Vista in to the 4th partiton. After all the drivers and applications install completed,that seems so far so good. Then I find my previous F drive now names C. The Drive C in Vista 32 Bit names E now. When
I try to boot into Vista 32, the error message : winload.exe could not find.
I used bcdedit try to redirect the device and osdevice to E drive, Vista 32 still could not start normally, the system will hang up in the blue desktop background,seems can not load user profile or sth like that.
I have check the E drive, all the files of Vista 32 are still there.

Nov 13, 2008Had a computer running XP with a Nvida GeForce4 MX 440 video card installed. I could clone the desktop to our big screen TV. Worked great. I now have a new computer running Vista home. I installed the same card in the new computer. I click on the desktop, click on personalize, then display. The only option I now have is to extend the desktop to the TV. What do I need to do in order to clone the desktop? Is it possible with Vista and this card??

Jan 6, 2009I am trying to run Easy DVD Clone on a vista computer. The decryption happens through a DVD Fab software which transfers the video ts folders to a location that Easy DVD Clone can then read from. The initial process works fine and it transfers the files to a temp location but then when it tries to burn it to a DVD, the process stalls at 99% and right after I get the pop-up window stating "Easy DVD Clone has stopped working". This happens with all DVD's. Do you know why this maybe the case and if this a vista related issue? I have already disabled my virus protection software as someone has suggested somewhere that it may cause a problem and I also deleted some other dvd burning softwares that I had on there but the result is much the same.

May 2, 2009I have an HP laptop that came with Vista Home Premium installed.
Two drivers, the C: driver as usual and a 'D:' driver also known as "HP_RECOVERY".
Now my question is very simple and basic yet I'm baffled not figuring out a way to do it.
Is it possible to clone the image of the OS I'm running currently to that D: drive? What software do I use to do that?
I will also need to mention that the drive size is ~8GB so it's very small. If there is a way to clone the current image to that drive, i will have to extend it and make it bigger, how would you do that also

May 3, 2008I have a need to install 4 systems of Vista on a single machine (4 partitions of my main system hard disk). Given that Vista always seems to see its own system drive as C, would it be possible to create my "master image" with SP1, all my drivers, utilities, system tweaks, and other "generic" applications (like Office/Acrobat etc), and then just clone this drive across to all the partitions I need to set up (on D, E, and F). Then, using VistaBootPRO, I could edit the BCD to include all the other partitions. Can anyone think of a reason this would not work?

I have tried all available options.
"include non-indexed"
"always search file names and contents"
"find partial matches"
"include subfolders"
etc
etc
It just doesn't work. Why is there not a simple search function that actually works like in windows2000? I am using Vista Ultimate 64 bit. But not having a working search function doesn't look that "ultimate" to me.

In one post Malke recommended to find the dll-file from system32, but I only find rundll32.exe, but I havenīt had the guts to rename that file because I believe that is the wrong one.
I have already tried all the other solutions that windows and many others have posted on these forums, but really donno what to do.

When I go to 'My computer' the drive is there, as soon as I enter a game or a cd of any kind into the drive there is no auto play and the disc drive disappears completely from 'My Computer' I went to device manager and it is there, said its working properly.
